News post for Labour signs for 37 weeks +++ ladies

lynsey..

hope you lose all your plug really soon and your lo makes it clear hes on his way..

i wouldnt mind, but they give us such mixed signals..

from contractions and loss of some plug/blood on monday to nothing... lol..

why do they do it to us? cant they see its evil and we just want to meet them? xx
sorry to ask tmi question, but how much "plug" was there?
There was loads....... I lost about a 10p size blob of jelly yesterday which was more pinky than bloody but today there was that much I actually felt it coming out and thought it was my waters going  luckily I was on the way to the loo but it took a good two or three wipes with tissue to get myself clean again. The same thing has happened again this afternoon but I was actually on the loo this time and again I felt it coming out and it took two or three wipes to clean it all up.

I rang the CMU to ask if there should be that much because it's like clear jelly/mucus with red blood mixed in it and she's said that so long as it's still mucusy then it's fine. If I get the blood and no mucus then I've got to ring them straight away.

I'm definately getting contractions but they are all over the place still and not at all regular. Some are 10 minutes apart, some are 40 minutes apart :wall: At least something is happening though. I'm just hoping they get closer together and don't go away...... I'd be gutted if they did!

I've been nesting over the last couple of days so I'm hoping that it was a sign

Going to see MW now (app is 3:30) so I'll let you know what she's said when I get back

:cheer: :cheer:

dont quote me if im wrong, but heard increased discharge is good sign xxxx

  Hi gerb....welcome to the wonderful world of symptom spotting again

Well.....MW has comfirmed that I'm in the latent phase of labour :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: She did warn me to not to get too excited though because it could last for days or even stop altogether... I nearly hit her when she said that

On the plus side she did say that it's good signs that something will be happening and although she's made me an appointment for next week she is pretty certain I won't be needing it. She told me to try bouncing on my ball and staying upright as much as possible so I'm just going to take the dog out for a walk :shhh:

I've just got to hope and pray that these contractions get longer (they're only lasting about 10 - 20 seconds at the minute) and closer together (every 15 minutes or so at the minute) and stronger

If I'm not on tomorrow it's because I'm having my baby :cheer: :cheer: or because it's all stopped and I'm too pee'd off to face anyone :talkhand:

Little update on me... went to see midwife earlier for me 38 week check and she confirmed what i thought which was that little man has his head well installed in me pelvis now - she wrote 3/5ths and said that there was no give at all either side of his head so she don't think he goin anywhere except for further down... she hasn't booked me another antenatal appointment as am seeing my midwife and senior midwife on tuesday just to cross the T's n dot the I's on me being a high risk pregnancy birthing in a midwife unit ;) All the midwives are delighted that am gonna try this Vbac in the unit though :D  :cheer:

Hi girls...

Today is my due date, and well... nothing has changed. :( Still getting pains at night, still pooing a lot, aaaaahhhhhh!!! So frustrating...!

Just 3 days now to work some magic and get him going naturally..   :D

:cheer: :cheer: Happy due date Ani  fingers crossed that something happens for you soon

Chrissy - how exciting to know something is really happening :cheer:

 everyone else, hope you are all doing well.

Nothing happening with me, I really don't feel like he is ready to come out yet, I'm not getting any signs or anything :( I bet I'm still here at 42 weeks :wall:

I am nesting though, yesterday I cleared out all my makeup, this took all day as I'm a makeup junkie plus I kept trying everything on  & today I'm tackling all the tupperware in the kitchen, this must be nesting as generally I never bother about the kitchen tupperware :rotfl:

Hey ladies!!!
Nothing again today.... baby very wriggly. Going for a long walk today and see what happens. Had a few pains at the top of my tummy earlier, just under my ribs but they have disappeared now. Consultant has booked me in for 41 weeks for induction if baby has not arrived by then :wall:
Have nested a little but feel really tired today.....
Got to phone hossie later to get results of my blood tests taken yesterday.
Take care everyone and once again GOOD LUCK CHRISSY!!!!!!!!!!!xxxxx

Nothing to report for me :'(

Last night i had a lil spot of blood again, so went to hospital just to check everythings ok again (i'm such a drama queen)

Still having some "irregular tightenings" also had internal :( she said cervix is still long, but is softening.. and she said i'm 2/5th's engaged still..

this moring had another lil bit of jelly discharge, nothing major tho...

"comeon babies" stop keeping us mummies waiting hehe  xxx

Started getting little bouts of mildly/moderately painful contractions yesterday but they were several hours apart.

Got woken up at 5am this morning with some more and some SERIOUS back pain  Stabbing rather than the aching I normally get.

Up and abut now and my back and pelvis just feel so sore, as does the muscle/skin on the bottom of my tummy :(
I feel kinda sick as well and very hormonal.

Gona go for a shower and see if the pains either ease off or intensify
Still no sign of plug or waters as of yet but I'm hopeful that this is finally gearing up to something  Question is just whether it'll be hours or days

Hope all you girls are well.

Nothing to report from me apart from feeling very sore down there. It feels almost bruised or as if someone has kicked me :? Other than that I dont think Bubs is ready to make an appearance just yet :(

Nothing to report again for me either! Still loosing clear jelly bits of my plug when I wipe and getting some back ache but nothing else. Baby is also very quiet. I might go and get monitored later if I still haven't felt much.

Petal - I know what you mean. I feel so swollen down there.

Tried BD with hubby this morning to see if that will get things going so fingers crossed!

Hope you are all well xxx Noor - i hope it is hours for you and not days!

I think I am in a similar position to you Noor. I have all the pains and signs of early labour but no sign of waters or plug.

Today I have an appointment for acupuncture - my friend tried this and she went into labour very next day. I am also thinking of trying some reflexology. I just want to do everything I can to go naturally, and if that doesnt work, well so be it, I will be induced on Sunday. If its meant to be, its meant to be.

Lynsey, BDing seems to do the trick for many people... the more "active" the better. I think our problem is that I am way too big and uncomfortable to be active enough...

Come on girls!!! One of us HAS to pop soon....!!!!! :shakehead:

oooh Noor and Ani.. that all sounds promising

Well I had a wee earlier and got everso excited cos when i wiped there was a bit of clear jellylike gunk on the tissue  :cheer: i was so excited i nearly rushed the tissue through to OH to show him hahaha :D

Other than that not much to report - still period pains aching down low and still got back ache n LOTS of stabbing in me fanjita last night so think bubs might have gone a bit more engaged...

What's BDing?

Liiberal sprinklings of labour dust all over the place today x x x x x

Sorry, BDing is doing the baby dance... i.e. rumpy pumpy, getting jiggy with it, making lurve... :rotfl:
