News post for Labour signs for 37 weeks +++ ladies

Hi Girls

I'm having loads of trouble getting on the forum these days so I'm missing out on all the excitement of waiting with you and celebrating when you pop! I'm just sneaking on now to say good luck and happy symptom spotting - here's sending some labour dust (variety: pain-free and quick!) to anyone who wants some!

Meanwhile over here there's nothing from me. I reckon I still have weeks left to go... :bored:

Oooo never posted here before.
Been getting lots of little aches in between and down my legs today so I think shes wiggling her way down also when I led in bed last night where her bum used to be is all flat so she must be going lower :D

Ok I'm getting a bit freaked out by all these symptoms but no labour...

I mean....what is normal?

This morning I woke up at 4am with strong BH contractions - proper tightenings. They were happening every 10 mins and along with period pains so I thought "this might be it!"

This continued while I dosed until 9am and when I got up there was more jelly coming out (which MW said was my show coming away and proof of my cervix effacing).

Then all day I've had BH but they stopped being so regular :wall:

Now I'm thinking I'd best just ignore everything unless it gets super painful. I'm just confused and bloody impatient.

and another thing...

I can actually feel the baby pushing downwards against my cervix. She wriggles and I get a huge pressure down below and its unmistakeable - she is definately pressing right down....it almost feels like something is coming out of my vagina just for a moment or two

I'm finding all of this very wierd.

Anyway, trying to keep busy, just been back from ASDA where the cashier told me that when she comes out I will probably want her back in  LOL

Daffodil, whatever is happening inside, all the signs you're getting must be doing something! Even if it's softening your cervix or pushing baby further towards the exit! :cheer: I don't think after reading all your signs over the past few days that you'll have long to wait

For me... Fell asleep at 4am! (Was getting only very slightly uncomfortable BH every 25 mins til then), so I stayed awake to see if they got any worse or closer together but they didn't, so fell asleep, woke up at 5am with a horrible pain (just the one), and have had a clear out today with some period pains & backache kinda twinges type things, so although I have my fingers crossed, I'm really not expecting anything to happen... It's all died down again really.

Got my MW appt today too so I'll post later!! xx

I know what you mean Dawn but the patience thing is no go right now...your signs seem promising...

Dannii I really hope you see some signs soon

With me it was a funny morning...went to empty my bowels this morning as you do (sorry tmi coming up)...and when it was time to flush I saw red in the pot. Woke up DH and said I saw blood in the pot...i think my plug has gone but i dont feel a thing...

he cancelled all his appointments for the day, i went in for an early shower..no pain, nothing happening..sat there twiddling my thumbs..

then after 2 hours I realised - I had 4 beetroot in my salad for dinner last night :rotfl: :rotfl:  thats what made it red!!! aaah ..how deflated...we laughed for ages..but aah well, time for false starts and thats the fun of it..

After that a very uneventful day...waiting waiting...

in other words- so far no signs...

I am tempted to eat pinapple today but someone said you might have to eat 6 whole fresh pinapples to see any effect with baby coming...I dont know if I can do that...

beetroot theory out of the window..didnt do anything
clairey I felt sorry for hubby..he was so excited when I said I think somthing is happening..his face lit up, he sat down..then cancelled all his appointments...had this sparkle in his eye asking me - what should I do next? Then the whole thing dawned on me - DAMN BEETROOT..DAMN DAMN DAMN

had curry last night...

I have no signs...

Neev, I'd recommend eating one though! It gave me the squits and tummy cramping (I only ate one a few weeks ago) and that's the part that is supposed to trigger off labour;

The cramping of the intestines then triggers the uterus to contract and therefore can kick start labour in some cases

Nothing for moi! x

Not a lot for me to be honest... A few uncomfortable BH, nothing major. :bored: x

Hi All,

Sorry I queue jumped! I will be posting my birth story really soon.

Its wierd reading what I said just one day before I went into labour....if anyone gets similar feelings you just know you're not far off!

hugs to everyone still waiting and I hope you see your baby soon.

I was in Boots this morning, strong and slightly painful BHs. I felt really hot and queasy at the time and had an immense pressure down low when walking. I've now got backache, so I'm not saying anything's happening for sure, it's probably wishful thinking; BUT it's gotta be a sign of something coming shortly? I haven't had a backache since leaving work ten weeks ago.

I reckon it's all psychosomatic tbh.

Been to the loo three times today  In a clear out kind of way and now my bum is really sore (sorry TMI  ). Intense period pains all day and really sore back. This morning I was laying in bed wondering whether the stomach pains I was having were the beginnings of contractions or whether I was hungry  They did ease after a while (and a bacon sarnie). Been quite busy driving/shopping etc. all day so feel really knackered as I haven't had my normal amount of day naps. Standing up is really painful (probably as my back is resenting supporting my enormous bump) and have had quite a few fanjita stabbings and other twinges down there which have made me yelp. It has been the most painful day of the pregnancy so far!

Having said all that, I really think he is going to make me wait until next week before he arrives. Although I did book my 40 week appointment with the midwife for Thursday just to see if he would arrive early to be difficult

Nicky, I still reckon you'll pop before me :) I think your signs sound really promising :cheer:

Dawn, congrats and yay for pressure down below :D

Neev :rotfl: at your beetroot saga :)

Dannii, hope Evie surprises you and pops out without warning soon :D

It's gotta be good news Mildly, all these little bits must be in preparation.

I went to the loo tonight and have *possibly* found some plug. I'm embarrassed to say it might be *ahem*, left overs from this morning's... fun (I did bath afterwards) but it didn't smell at all, so could be? You can lose it in pieces can't you? Who knows whether it was or not.

Yay now that is a really good sign :D I'm sure it is plug and not 'remains' I'm sure it does come away in pieces, oooh maybe tomorrow you'll get a really large and obvious bit :cheer:

Knock knock...sorry to intrude but OMG just seen how close you are to your EDD Nicki!! :cheer: I'm going to be stalking you now!!

Nicky - sounds like somethings happening in your world - sounds like plug.. :cheer:

Mildly- your symptoms from yesterday sound just like mine - except I also have pelvic joint pain for the first time, walking is like hell

So far - no symptoms apart from back ache, the worst heartburn since the start of pregnancy, feel like I have a sack of stones put over my pubic bone when I walk. Thats about it!

Think I had a bit more show this morning, it's definitely not CM (I hate the D-word)! I should have a sweep on Thursday so I guess I'll know if it's ripening and stuff then.

Exciting and scary!

Oooh Nicky! Sounds promising!! :cheer:

Mildly: I agree, your body is definitely doing something! not long for you now. I reckon you'll pop any day soon :D

Neev: Don't give up hope! Everytime I post about having no signs, there are loads of women who say they suddenly popped without even a BH or anything!!

Nothing for me! No plug, no nothing! :bored: xx
