I had no idea what was going on with Nichola and just went with the flow.
But since I've moved up to Scotland and told my new midwife team about what happened with Nichola's birth I know how serious GBS can be.

It doesn't even take a lot to prevent it even harming baby too.

Please Jills let us know whats going on!!......



ME UPDATE....

I've got a tight and painful back and I keep getting twinges up my woohoo and just above my pubic bone. They're uncomfortable but my back is alot more painful than the twinges if that makes sense!

Other than that, I'm ok. I've just finished re-packing my Hospital bags too!

Don't really have much to report except that I've been feeling crap all day and have just been sleeping. I'm wondering if I've come down with something as I don't think it is a labour sign.

this might be nothing but about an hour ago I sneezed and then realised a trickle (Sorry tmi) might have landed on my pantyliner...rushed to the toilet and it sure was a patch...with that came a sharp shooting pain in my lower back. I thought to myself did I just wet myself slightly or was this something?

Now I gather it is nothing but just the first sighting of maybe I am losing control of my bladder? hahaha never know but I would not mind meeting LO tonight or tomorrow or the day after for that matter... I think I am quite ready to have my body back now....

Neev, just keep check in case you leak more! I don't know what it could be, don't want to say wee in case it's not, but don't want to say waters in case it's wee! You've put me in an awkward situation! lol

hanti-boo is next to pop (well, that's how it *should* go if we're being fair lol)

Who knows though! Penstraze could have set off a trend with a Sept baby arriving in August!!

It's wierd though, because at one stage a few weeks ago, there seemed to be LOADS of overdue women, at the moment there's only a handful and no-one is MASSIVELY overdue? xx

Bouce like you've never bounced before on your ball and get DH to do his bit. Keep reminding yourself that pineapple is nice too that shoulod help it go down a little easier!!!!!

Nothing much changed for me.

My back is still agony,
My twinges are getting more painful and starting to sting too. They're also getting closer too. Just not close enough! 3 in 20 mins, they need to be 5/6 in 20 mins for me to start to worry about them.

I am starting to worry a little about birth day too. With the Bank Holiday coming up the guy we were going to ask to look after Nichola has gone home to Arbroath and has no plans on coming back before he has to cos he's been given the rest of the week off too.
So if I end up going in on Tuesday for my induction if I don't labour quickly I'll have no hubby there for the birth
I suppose it's nice to know that the hospital will let Nichola be with us while I'm on the post ward and progressing but she can't come to the labour ward with me.

I've been having awful period pains again today but as there is no beginning or end to them, I'm guessing they have bugger all to do with labour. Also back is really sore too. I really wish all this would stop so I can enjoy my last couple of weeks in peace.

Quick update before I go to bed,

My twinges are beginning to REALLY HURT now.
Bump's gone really hard and I keep getting stuck on the sofa cos my back has that bad,
and I have balloons for hands and feet.

Had a good go on my ball earlier and I think that's what set everything off...

Will update again at some point tomorrow if I've not run off to hospital in the night

Had hardly any sleep last night, my back is killing me, have got strong period pain and been having pains every 15 minutes for a few hours now. Just waiting to see if it develops into anything or is gonna die off again Been having this on and off for over a week now, not sure how many more false starts I can take Im so tired... I am officially overdue now so hopefully baby will get the hint and make her grand entrance into the world

had back ache all afternoon yesterday. Started getting it every 10 - 15 minutes last night- eased off a bit when I had a bath then I woke up at about half 2 and they felt stronger so was awake for most of the night until quarter to 5.When guess what! They stopped I cant believe it. Im just feeling really unconfortable today and back is aching again. Getting a lot of jelly but I dont think its my show.Going to hospital in a bit for my blood pressure check so Ill see what happen there.How long is this going to go on for!!!!

Feeling a bit better today, still really strong period pains but still no actual contractions Had a scary moment whilst we were coming back from shopping, I was pretty sure I needed a wee but decided I could wait until we got home. However about half way home I was almost crying with pain and having to lift my bump up and straighten my legs as the pressure was so great. The thing was it wasn't your normal bursting for a wee pressure, I've never felt anything like it. OH was getting a bit worried, but I was sure it was because I hadn't wee'd in a while and sure enough I did need to go and the pressure eased when we got home.

Oh and I have a bit of a headache too

Pains all died off again this morning so had a hot bath around lunchtime and things have picked up again now. Have started to lose bits of my bloody show and now having contractions although still 20-30 minutes apart, so only time will tell if this is it or not Been bouncing on my ball all afternoon and now just been out for a walk to try and get the momentum going, so fingers crossed!

I'm in agony!!

My back is rock solid as is my bump.
Baby still having a good wriggle though so I don't need to worry about that.
Lots of tightenings in my bump and stinging twinges above my pubic bone and up my woohoo today, they got so bad before that I broke down in tears!
I'm also really itchy today too

Doesn't look like anything is going to happen before I go to be induced tomorrow though.

Sooo gutted that both of my kids have had to be induced. First because she wanted to leave early and second cos they don't want to leave at all!!
