Hi - does anyone have any advice on either of these items? I'm starting to buy items now before the vat increase! Thanks

Rose

mamas and papas bath in argos around £23 is AMAZING and i went thru 4 baths finding it!! lol as for moses basket cheap ones r RUBBISH!!! mine dinted in the middle etc... if u have carrycot with pram use it if not buy a decent moses basket!! if u try mamas and papas website u might get one reduced... also buying before the vat increase mightnt be cheaper as stuff may be further reduced in january :D xx

I haven't bothered with a bath this time,I've just bought a bath support for in the big bath. My bathroom is too small to put the bath in so I always did it downstairs which was a pain to fill up and empty,u often end up puttin the baby bath in the big bath anyway so I thought I'd save on storage.
I haven't bought a Moses basket either cos I had a carrycot with my eldest 2 and Moses basket wiv my youngest and he was only in it a few weeks so was a total waste of money and wish I'd bought 1 second hand instead..I've got 2 cribs this time,1 off eBay for £20 and the other was given to me by my cousin xx

mamas and papas little land moses basket is reduced in argos to £39.99 and if u buy it u get rocking stand for £9.99!! :D bargain! xx

Ive not bought nothing yet but im not keen on moses baskets im going for another crib this time had one with my son and loved it so did he :)

i dont use the babybath.. noa goes in the bigbath with me or shower with his daddy x

I wish i hadn't bothered with the baby bath as Tegan just goes in the big bath with a bath support x

I got a pink moses basket from mother care, and its lovely ! really good qality and only £30, then we have a small rocking crib, so its moses basket for the first few weeks, then the crib, then the cot, as for baths, I think I am getting my mums old one from my little sister (She is currently using it as a washing basket) and just buying the bits and bobs, cause baby will be more than likely to just go in the big bath with support xx

ive got a mamas & papas bath that was bought for my sister lo and then my sister in law used it and now me.

moses basket i am undecided. have found one that matches my nursery theme and is part of same set but as bad as it sounds i will not be having it unless someone else offers as a prezzie.( probably mother in law). just cos it's 70 quid and as much as i love it it's alot of money for a short space of time. especially when like lisa said you can get good deals.

xxx

I have a question.....can't get a proper cot yet as have no nursery. Will baby need both a moses basket and a small rocking crib or just one of these?? xx

I've got a moses basket and a cot for once she's bigger x

im the same just having moses basket and a cot. xx

I don't have a baby bath either-waste of money IMHO. Seb baths with either of us.

Our Moses basket didn't last 5 minutes! Seb's 10 weeks 3 days old and outgrew it at 8 and a half weeks! He's so long but tgeyre great for newborns! Ours was second hand and tbh I'd always buy the Moses basket second hand because they're used for such a short time!

I have a moses basket which was mine when I was a baby and my mum bought matress and bedding for it!and we have been given a cot also was mine and a friend offered us their cot bed too so when h is old enough it will have the cotbed for a couple of years! H is 11wks and still fits in his moses basket and still in newborn clothes! As for a baby bath we got bought it as a present and I have used it purely as with a broken ankle I couldn't get h up to the bathroom to bath him so me and oh have done it in the baby bath but I think I would have bought a support if had been able bodied!

I only needed the Moses basket, but the crib was given to me as a present and so was the crib after I bought my Moses basket lol, think I will get more use out of one more than the other x

I wanted a crib this time, as not had one before and they look much longer in length, but my sister gave me her old M&P moses basket so I'm using that, but not the stand as I am tight for room. I have put in inside the cot bed in my bedroom for now and will prob use it more on the floor downstairs in the lounge actually. Once he has outgrown the moses , he will just use the cot bed.

I am just going to use a plastic shaped bah support given to me as baby baths a pain to empty and carry

Goog luck buying - I love this exciting buying stage!

U can get rocking Moses baskets now. We didn't go for it as we have a cat and didn't want it falling over (the Moses basket not the cat!)

i use moses basket for bedroom and swinging crib for downstairs once the baby is bigger i transfer from the moses basket to cot

i used a carrycot for my 1st 2 that i got with my big pram and i just put it in the cot in teh night or downstairs in the day, i had a moses basket with my last 3 but as I tend to have tiny babies i get good use out of them, i did buy a swinging crib for my 4th as i had always wanted ne what a mistake that was, only because my 3rd was only 10 months old and learnt to pull the plug so it would swing and he would try and pull himself up on it, so it wasn't safe, so that looked so pretty but waste of money for me, but if its your first or your other children are older then swinging cribs are alot more solid than moses baskets.
I have actually always used my baby baths i bath my babies in teh lounge infront of the fire but 3 out of 5 were born november and december so very cold. and if you dont fill them too high not to bad to carry dont ever fill them up though or you have no chance carrying it, my kitchen is near my lounge though so i fill it up in there. then again with so many kids if i tried to let the baby bath with me they would all want ot get in too lol i not having that hehe. i have found all baby baths the same though so always juts used a cheap one.
