Yep I've had a bump for quite some time now, and have been feeling movement for a few weeks now. Although I do have days where I feel nothing which always has me in a panic but I know it's normal. With this being my 5th things always happen sooner. I sure am glad you are loving your pregnancy!! :D :D :D

Hi girls - I have not visited for a while due to one thing and another,

I am finding this pregnancy quite difficult. I have never really had bad luck or been an "unwell" type person....my mother has always said I was "born with a silver spoon in my mouth" (been lucky all my life) UNTIL NOW...................(1) I found out from my first blood test that I am Rhesus Negative, which paniced me at first but then I calmed down when I found out it is really no big deal. (2) From my downs blood test, I found out I am high risk but again calmed down a little when they told me the figure was actually 1 in 210 chance (high for my age: 30) (3) I am getting a bad headache everyday and have been for the last 3 weeks (this may be due to stress - I am going to docs tomorrow). I LOVE BEING PREGNANT but feel that so far luck hasn't been on my side! I am a panicy person so maybe other people are having the same stresses but aren't freaking out over them so much!

I just want to meet my little lodger - roll on APRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love to you other ladies of little lodgers leaving in April.......

Hi Julia,

I've just PM'd you, before reading this post! I'm rhesus A negative too! that scared me a bit, my midwife said that only about 15% of people in the country are this, but then I found out that 3 people I know are as well so it doesn't seem to be that uncommon! I've already got my appointments for my injections through!

I'm not enjoying my pregnancy much at the mo. due to one thing and another, mainly the headaches. I was in tears yesterday & saying to my DH that i'm partly upset because for so long i've wanted to have a baby and wanted to know what being pregnant was like & thought it would be just so wonderful and joyous but in reality it's nothing like I thought it would be!

How's everyone else doing in there pregnancy? are you have a bad time of it as well as me & Julia. Ree are you still having problems? your pregnancy hasn't been a bed of roses either has it? i don't know, why can't these men take some of it on?it's not fair!!

Best go the screen makes my headache worse!

Take care, love 'n' hugs

Hello Ladies!!!

I'm sorry you guys are not having the best of time right now!! No I haven't had smoothe sailing this time around but I look at it like this, I will appreciate what god has given me a little bit more because of what I have gone through this pregnancy, peanut and I are healthy today I may feel like crap and have to be on medication and be cautious of my dehydration but I am 17wks and still carrying I consider myself to be lucky! I keep telling myself things like that and I am able to get through the sicky and icky days a little bit more! I can't wait to have my ultrasound done and see if she/he will "show" itself!! lol....I know it's hard not to panic but try and remember then when you panic so does the peanut. So try and take it easy pretty soon it will be over and this will all be a distant memory.

Take Care!!!

Hi Girls,

Hope you don't mind me joining in but I'm feeling a little sorry for myself at the moment! Poor DH is wondering what's wrong.

I am, like everyone else, soooooooooooo excited about being pregnant, it's one of the best things that has ever happened to me, however........

Over the last few weeks, I have been soooooooooooooooooooooooo tired, I know that this is fairly normal but I felt great up until I was 12 weeks and then it seemed to go down hill.

I was very sick last week and have been sick a bit this week, I was only ever sick about 7 times in the whole 5-12 weeks. I count myself as lucky as so far I've been feeling great but this last few weeks has been a real struggle. I am lucky that I have managed to cut my working days to 3 days a week so I can't even say it's that - god knows what I'll be like in a few months.

I know so many other people go through so much worse but I feel so boring just now. Has anyone else gone through this?

Sorry to ramble on, it feels good to spit it all out!!

Thanks for reading.

Hope you are all keeping well.

Lx

Hello and welcome Leigh,

I think ALL of us feel like that and it is completely normal!! Some women don't get the morning sickness until the second trimester, it doesn't matter if there are other women who have been through worse the point is you are going through it and it sux! I have come to the conclusion that I will be sick my entire pregnancy!!!! lol Talk about boring, I do absolutely nothing and I feel sooooo guilty for it my DH completely understands and I know I will be begging for some rest once the baby comes! :D So take this time to relax and don't feel bad about it your entitled to it!!! Feel free to spit it out anytime you'd like! :D Take care of yourself and your peanut! I hope you start to feel better! Talk to you soon!

xoxo Ree

Hi Leigh,

Sorry you're feeling rough hun
As you may know i've been feeling pretty poop for about 3 months now and i'm so fed up with it and keep crying. My doc has signed me off this week (until Mon.) again, and even though in a way it's nice to be at home, i'm so bored. The house is getting me down too, because i feel lousy so much of the time and my head is banging the last thing I want to do is get the hoover out or clean the windows, the house is in such a mess.

I have to say that this forum has been a life line, I think I would have gone mad by now.

I just keep telling myself it'll all be worth it when I see my baby but April seems so far away and I still don't feel pregnant yet, just fat and ugly! :(

I could go on for ages about how I feel at the mo. but I don't want to bore you rigid!!

Let us know how you are doing? Really hope you feel better soon.

Hi Girls!

Well it's a new a day and I wanted to check in with ya's and see how your doin. I know you ladies have had it rough and I'm sorry you have, just think with every day you get through is one day closer you are to meeting your little baby!!! That seems to be what helps me! Nicki- your right this forum has been a life line for me as well. I see the ladies whom I have spoken with in the past getting their BFP and it is soooo exciting it almost feels as tho I know them personally!!! You meet some many wonderful ladies on here to go through your journey and gets you through soooo much! It's so nice to be able to speak to women who can relate to what you are going through vs. the ones in your life who some times look at you as if you had 3 heads!! OK well I rambled enough, just wanted to see how everyone is doing today. Chat with ya's soon!

hi girls,

Thanks for your encouraging replies!! As both of you have said, this forum is great, I can't believe how much it has helped.

My situation is much the same, sick again today and over the weekend, also now accompanied by headaches/migraines.

After speaking to a few friends yesterday, it seems they went through the headaches etc also at this stage, and said they only lasted a few weeks, hopefully that is the case. Nicky - I feel so sorry for you, here's me moaning after a couple of weeks and you have been going through it for months!!

Ree - You're so positive - keep it up, it's exactly what I'm needing!!

Most of the time, I just need a good kick up the arse and a stark reminder of what it felt like to be TTC - I visit the TTC pages in total sympathy for those currently TTC and remember how lucky I am.

Anyway I have my 16 week appointment tomorrow so i'll have a few questions for the midwife, I'll pass on any good advice I get!!

Hope you're all good and take care.

How did you make out at the midwives??

I haven't been on in a few days, I was battling again with the sickness as bad as I was when I was dehydrated. They started me on a new medication and I feel tons better!!! I seem to be loosing weight again for a total of 18 pounds since I have gotten pregnant!! I'm not complaining though, even tho it seems like my bump is now gone! But peanut moves all the time, so I know all is well! :D

I go on Monday for my ultrasound so keep your fingers that we are able to find out what we are having, I'm dying to know!!!!!

Well I hope all is well with everyone, take care!

xoxo Ree

Hi Ree,

Thanks for your reply. Yeah the midwife went good, they checked the heartbeat etc and all was well.

In terms of my headaches, like you, she said I am probably dehydrated and just to try and drink plenty, which I thought I did but....who am I to argue.

So this weekend has been very relaxing and included loads and loads of fluids, even though it means I am never away from the loo!!

I must say though, fingers crossed as I am feeling a bit better and haven't been sick since Thursday!

Hope your sickness has eased too.

Hope the ultrasound went well, let us know how you got on.

Lx

How's everyone doing??

I am fabulous!! Had my ultrasound done today and I saw my beautiful DAUGHTER!! That's right we are having a little girl. My family will now be even 3 boys and 3 girls. Her legs were closed the entire time until then end when said woohoo look at me I'm a girl!!! lol We were soooo happy!! I completely forgot about how sick I have been when I saw her.

Hope everyone is feeling and doing ok!!

xoxo Ree

Awww Ree, that's great news. I really want to have a daughter. I actually managed to convince my hubby to find out the sex when I go for the next scan - yippeeeeee!!! I'm glad everyhting went well for you, it's such a relief to know the baby is fine isn't it?

Leigh Sless, hope you're ok too. As you may know i've suffered a hell of a lot with headaches and they are finally dying down, woohoo! , after ruling out quite a few possibilites the doc. thought it might be a trapped nerve so have been to see the osteopath now and it's actually helping, can't believe it. Maybe you should get check out too, just incase.
She also tol;d me to go swimming and do yoga coz that's really good for the baby. I went swimming yesterday for the first time in years and OMG it nearly killed me!!

How is everyone else doing?

Nicki.xx :D

Hi Girls,

Hope everyone is well.

Nicki, thanks for the advice on the headaches I'll maybe give the osteopath a go, the headaches have died a good bit so fingers crossed I am now in the "blooming" stage. :D I must admit I have been feeling a lot better over the last week or so, so much so, I have been getting bored of staying in and am ready to socialise again so something must be right!

I have my 21 week scan in 3 weeks which I am looking forward to, I am still awaiting some blood test results from 2 weeks ago!! Has anyone else's taken this long, I have the blood group one back and the rubella one but that's it, the rest are still to come.

Anyway, I best get back to it, take care all and hope to hear from you soon.

Hello ladies!

How is everyone?? I am surprisingly doing well!!! Finally I don't have to take my meds like clock work anymore only when I feel sick which is not 24/7 anymore. Baby is kicking up a storm now and we are trying to figure out her name we are leaning towards McKayla Faith, what do you guys think?? Well we have been pretty busy around here Thanksgiving is one of our busiest times!! ugh!!!

Leigh- I don't know if we do the same kind of blood work I had some when I first became pregnant and then again at 16wks which was the downs test then another one will be at 24-26wks to check for diabetes. They only call us if something is wrong. Maybe you should call them??

I must be off now on 12hr car trip to get DH sister to stay with us for Thanksgiving!!)

Hope everyone and their babies are well!!!

xoxo Ree

Hi Ree,

Glad you are feeling better too, hopefully we're all getting to the "blooming" stage.

McKayla Faith is lovely, very unusual.

I'm going to phone the Docs again, everything so far is normal and like you say if there was anything wrong, they would phone me, no news is good news- right?! :?

Happy Holidays! I've been in the US during thanksgiving before and it was great, I wish we had something similar although it's not long till Xmas!!

Lx

Hey Leigh,

Wow, I ate sooo much turkey yesterday I think I may turn into a turkey!!! LOL Well as I figured hubby has changed the name already! lol Now we are thinking about Abagail Faith-Ann my hubby wll probably change his mind 10 more times before the baby is born. Although he was telling everyone on Thanksgiving that the baby's name will be Abagail so maybe since he has said it to so many people he won't change it again.

That is right, no news is good news!!!! :D But I'd call the Dr. again and just check.

xoxo Ree
