I meant to ask the doctor this yesterday in clinic but I had a hot flush and everything completely went out of my head! :wall2:

Im being induced on 25th October, but what happens if baby isnt engaged by then!? Does anybody know?

Ive got no more appointments between now and then and I despise my midwife (we do not get on) so dont really want to call her and ask.

xx

Babies can engage during labour (second babies are more likely to not engage before labour) but even first babies can not be engaged until the contractions push them down and engage x

With my 1st pregnancy my son didn't engage until I was well into labour. My midwife and doctor both warned me that as it was my first he should of been engaged, and because he wasn't I should have a c-section but I decided but unless it was an emergency I'd rather not. My labour went fine and was actually rather quick for a 1st, so don't let them try and talk you into a c-section etc if babys not engaged.
