****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

Sorry to hear a few of us are having a rough time with feeling bad, being in pain/discomfort and poor sleeping, not to mention long shifts at work. Other than waking up lots through the night i've been doing ok and I really hope things get better for you soon.

Decorator starts today! will make things hit home a bit once the room is ready to just put baby stuff in! Yoga last night was just what i needed, it'll be interesting when the new instructor takes over (the current one is going on maternity leave) as she's a trained midwife as well, so thinking she could be very knowledgable and helpful with all things yoga, birth and baby related! Although the instructor we have is lovely so she'll be a miss.

Feel so happy - just want to brag about my dog!

He used to have the back room to himself, bed, toys and it was his favourite place to take treats. Now it's the baby's room, full of new exciting things and blocked off with a tall gate. I was anticipating my dog being interested in the changes but he's been a star! He's not allowed in there at all and Ive been practicing going in and out, opening drawers, singing to myself and he's just lay there watching me. No crying. No rushing at the gate.

Love my puppy (he's 5, but he'll always be my puppy!)

I know it'll be more interesting with pooey nappies and a crying baby, but it's a great start!

Orion, well done to your dog. I don't have one so haven't got a clue how much of an achievement this is.

Are you gals taking the tags off clothing? I've put all the stuff away in the drawers, but left the tags on. Not sure why... Not like I'll be taking any of that back.

Going to wash everything closer to the time though.

I've put eveything in drawers with tags on, not sure why I just didn't feel ready to take them off?! I am desperate to start washing them all but trying to hold off for a bit longer!

Orion, that's great. We've started to make little changes with our pup too, just so that it's not a massive change when baby arrives and she's been great so far.

I had a bumps and beyond appointment at the hospital this morning and finally got them to clarify the results of my gtt. I don't have it! My results aren't even borderline so I've no idea why I was informed that they were to start with. The midwife I saw today was very apologetic on behalf of whoever messed up. Bless her, she was lovely and very thorough when going through my results with me so at least I know for sure now. One less thing to worry about! :-)

Hope everyone else is doing ok today! Xx

Thanks bigbee. He's a relaxed dog so maybe not a massive achievement but I'd rather pre-empt problems. I'm just happy he's ok with losing his den :)

I haven't taken tags off yet either. Didn't think twice about it until you guys mentioned it

I also have left all my tags on babies clothes. I need to get mine washed soon to go into hospital bag ready incase I go early. .. then again I better get a hospital bag for them to go in. Well done to your dog orion. Xxx

Great news jen :)

Yeah, I'm gonna keep the tags. Most of the stuff we've bought is a bit more "boy" (according to my Oh) so if we have a girl, I'll be giving some stuff away as presents hahahaha

Hope you feel better soon Durham.

Sorry to hear you are still suffering so much Jessie

Glad your yoga went well last night Elliot, is it an NCT class?

Orion, that's good about your dog. I think animals just know sometimes, they sense things don't they :-)

Glad to hear all ok on the GTT front Jenb

Bigbee the bits i've brought still have tags on and still in bags. Will be turning spare room into babies room when we have a week off in feb, so for now they are staying put.

Hope everyone suffering with bad nights sleep, get some good sleep soon. I was awake again for a large chunk of the night.

xx

Hope everyone's feeling OK and not too tired! Is anyone else coming out of their "having tons of energy and motivation" stage yet? I'd hoped for a bit longer but feel like someone has switched me off!!

Orion that's brill about your pup- it can be quite a big change for them and its a big step having his den taken over! I completely understand!

Tags still on all clothes here too! And its snowing again...!!

Willowburn I seemed to have missed the loads more energy stage ha ha. Well that's not entirely true, I'm not too bad at the weekends, but that's because I'm awake half of the night, but then I don't have to get up for work at the weekends, so not tired at the weekends, but in the week by mid afternoon at work I'm shattered.

In fact I just logged on to say how I am struggling to keep my eye's open at work, and the heat in the office doesn't help!!

xx

It's not an nct class just a local yoga instructor that does a pregnancy class and use to do mum and baby yoga too. It's mostly quite relaxing but stretches certain muscles that areukely to cause issues and focussed on breathing lots too. Feedback from people who have gone on and had their babies is that they felt it really helped them.

Willowburn, I've started to notice my energy levels dropping off though being at home all day I'm lucky to be able to nap.

Orion I went to visit my mum after the doctors earlier yo get me out the house. She hasa very cute Rottweiler pup who just adores me!! But was so excited to see me she almost took me off my feet! Then when I sat down she thought I brought her a present and that my crutches were sticks to play with! It was too cute to argue with lol.

Soo I'm still thinking baby is head down but I don't like it :( I cant feel baby moving like before, I could watch him moving his arms and legs before but know I'm getting next to nothing, just little squirms :(
I oddly miss his strong kicks but I also worry that hes not moving enough? Logic is trying to reassure me that hes in a very different position but it doesn't stop me panicking:(

No energy here either! I've really had enough of work already!

I can't sleep properly at night, but could happily nap all day long.

I'm still waiting for the 'burst of energy' phase but having two kids already, I'm not expecting miracles lol xxx

Pleased it's not just me then!! I feel shattered all the time now! It's really hit me past couple of days :(
Having a desperately unproductive day- apparently no one in the north of England wants to make any money and at this rate I am going to have to cover the entire area myself and also run my other business! I don't think I have time for all of this...although getting off pregnancy forum might free some up!!

Ive skipped the glowing, energetic feeling wonderful stage altogether too... just something resembling the walking dead most days, poor OH haha!!

Had a headache for the past 4 days, thinking its part of this cold/cough i have, joy!

Yay for GTT results Jen! Chuffed for you hun!!

The clothes we have gotten are still with tags and just in a drawer for now.

I've just ordered a bump support band for when I'm at work. I was in agony last night. My OH is furious because he dropped in to see me on his way home, saw how uncomfortable I was and asked my manager to get me a stool. He said he would sort it and never did  he has a major issue with allowing me to sit, I think he thinks I'm being lazy? Then at the end of the night he mentioned that I'd been very quiet all shift, so I told him that would be because I'm in a lot of pain.

I'm going to talk to the MW about it next week, I can't seem to find any legal guidelines on how long it is acceptable to have a pregnant woman standing still?
