****** May 2015 Mummies to be *******

If he was my own I'd leave him to get on with it, but it's harder when the parents are watching you and expecting you to do something!

I've not had my son have a tantrum kicking etc but there's times when he's fallen over and he wants a cuddle and picked up and he's quite a heavy boy so I usually squat diwn to cuddle first but if he insists on being picked up. I lift like manual handling tells you to give him a cuddle firta couple of mins then tell him he needs to walk as it's hurting mummy's back. My biggest problem with him is elbow in the belly it's unintentional but comes sharp so I tell him to be careful of the babies. If I had been in your situation the only thing I would do is distraction as I found that the best way to stop my son from acting out and calm him down at times for example if he's crying hysterically after someone leaves (my dad usually) I will say come on shall we go and get some play doh out and makes something. . Or something along those lines. An exciting activity that they love. But like you Durham im struggling to keep up energy wise and sometimes feel bad when all he wants to do is play and all I want to do is sit and rest xxx

Please don't get me wrong about my other half, as i have said he is very loving and supportive in everyway, he just doesn't think he can be in the room at the actual time, although he will be in and out from the waiting room to check on me. Luckily I am very close to my mum and she will stay with me, although I have told her she must stay at head end! :-)

Sorry can't offer any advice Mayflower as don't have any children, but sounds difficult with it being work rather than your own child.

Pregnancy yoga tonight :-) xx

Yoga for me too! OH may end up adopting a similar on and lut have a break from things approach just going go have to see. Mum passed away 7 years ago and sister lives s long way away and we arent that close so wouldn't work. No other family on either side nearby and friends are all relatively new friend so wouldn't feel comfortable. So it's me, him and whatever staff there is on the day!

Need my yoga now after all this "big day" talk haha!

And sorry I can advise a lot dealing with another child when pregnant but hope things don't get too tough x

Getting a Doppler dropped off in a minute... Hmmm. Wasn't going to get one, but borrowing one from a friend. Hopefully will get the heart beat straight away and not get anxious!

Have fun with the doppler bigbee, I hear it's a lot harder with anterior placenta though so try not to get yourself worked up if you struggle.

I keep thinking about pregnancy yoga, though I can't work out if it with help the SPD or cripple me even more!!?

Oh well. I couldn't find it. It's Ok though, cos I tried finding my own and didn't manage. Was probing where the MW did last week... Never mind.

Jessie, you could try pregnant yoga, but tell the instructor that you have SPD. They normally ask everyone if there are any injuries or problems. Mine did, and she showed me a bunch of stretches for my back. X

Jessie, check out the sciatica post in tri 2. One of the girls said that you shouldn't do yoga if you suffer from PGP, which is the same as SPD, isn't it?

Caseysmummy you asked about babywearing your twins just saw a twin group for carrying called "twin sling" on facebook shows different carriers and ways to wear them :)

Another great yoga class tonight. Had 2 ladies who were doing the class in december come in with their babies and give their birth stories at the start, so class was later finishing, but really good xx

Yea its the same thing! Ooh thanks for thinking of me I'm going to check it out!

Urgh, have woken up full of it this morning, poorly again  My mum is coming over today to buy curtains for the kids rooms and take me to lunch. I wish I was feeling more human!

Oh Durham poor you! Hope you get some rest today.

I've not been ill (touch wood) but I am just soooooo tired and I have no energy to do anything.

Well Henry had me up most of the night but my 4am "you had best go to sleep now & stay asleep" seems to have worked. He's still asleep now

I lie - he's woken as I typed this

Oh ladies, sorry to hear you are not getting much sleep, and Durham - being ill must be horrible especially with the little one running around.

I felt the baby move loads last night, it was about 11 and I am normally asleep at that time, so was lovely.

Quite stressed today. I have three days to pay my personal tax for the year, and my accountants are useless as they've done my tax return wrong! Really stressing about it now. And getting angry. Waiting till 9 am so I can call them and kick off. Arrrrgggghhh!!!!!

Anyway. Midweek.

goodness my first 8 hour shift at work for a while and I am crippled this morning and feel like I have not slept for a week. Hope I have an easy day today.

Morning all.
Durham are you still taking vitamins? You're body just needs a general boost doesn't it
Flosi touch, try and rest when you can and don't be afraid to take extra breaks at work.

Well I'm back at the doctors today as the sick note the hospital gave me has run out. I dint like being off sick but as 20 hours of my day are spent in bed and I'm in pain whatever I do I think its unrealistic to think I could go back. But will see what doc says this morning.

Jessie, it's horrible that you are suffering so much. My heart goes out to you, babe. You must feel so frustrated.

Have they spoken to you about labour? I know you said you might have end up having a c section because of baby's position, but if the baba turns, what will labour be like?

Aww thanks bigbee that's really nice xx

To be honest I don't know what to expect from labour. I do think if baby is I right positioon id really like to have a go naturally and if that means I have to do it doped up to my eyes on pain relief then so be I but I know people in my SPD thread have been advised it because they could end up breaking bones in their pelvis!!
I have a midwife appointment next week so Il have a chat with her and see what she says.

Good luck with the tax return, I can never get my head round stuff like that it all looks way too hard!
