Sorry to hear you are suffering with your back Jenb, hope the physio helps
Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell Caseysmummy, sounds like it could be a tummy bug, there seems to be a lot going around at the moment
Happy V day Mayflower and Durham
Elliot mine has mainly been on the left hand side, however the last few movements I have felt have been on the right, so I just put it down to baby changing position
Jessiecat I was saying to my mum about the whole laying on your back thing as even with a pregnancy pillow thats supposed to stop that, I occasionally wake up on my back. Both my mum (ok she had us years ago) and my sister (whose littlest is 4) say they were never told this. I am going to speak to midwife about this when I see her this afternoon.
Can I ask all of your advice re maternity leave? I am thinking of doing the following? Does this sound sensible to you?
I have to take holiday either at the start, end or split between start and end. So going to split it.
Also if i give birth before start of maternity leave date, I have to start leave then, and use holiday at the end.
So my plan (I think)
Due date 15/05/2015
Last working day in the office = 24th April 2015
27th April - 1st May 2015 Annual leave (5 days)
4th May 2015 = Bank holiday
5th May 2015 - 8th May = annual leave (4 days)
11th May start maternity leave
so 9 days of 2015 annual leave used, leaving me 22 days to take at the end
What do you think? I need to let HR know very soon. Moneywise I need to work as long as possible, but so many people have said to take a break before, hence me planning to use some holiday at the start.
Thanks xx
