Just curious to see how many peole are TTC within a marriage or with a partner?

I've been with my OH for 8 years, have been living together for a year.

Can I ask why you don't intend to get married? I have never been that fussed about it! Everyone seems to think a girls dream is to have a wedding, I just wanted my house and children. I don't think you need a ring and a certificate to show you love someone.

I guess you can never say never?

OH and I both know we don't want the big, expensive white wedding though so if it ever happened it would be me and him in a registry office (but our families would kill us!!) We have big families so a small wedding with just immediate family would never work!!

In general we've just never had any strong feelings about geting married. We live together, we have our first baby on the way - we're as committed as two people can be so we see no reason to change this!

I'm also not from the TTC section..
But, we always agreed never to used protection, and not actively TTC, but if a baby happened, it happened...

I met my OH in July last year... Got a BFP in January, we got engaged in the September, and we're getting married in July this year. (We had already booked wedding venue etc before we got a BFP)

You just know when it's the real thing xxx

My husband and I have been together 2 years this month and married in August last year... total whirlwind although we did know each other briefly before all this... neither of us ever ever thought we'd get married until we met each other but it just felt right with him... so yeah as Carnat said never say never... x

This is the problem for us though a 'small affair' with just 'immediate family' and close friends would be at the very least 35 people (this is just our parents, our siblings, their partners and our neices / nephews and 2 close friends each)

When I think of a small affair, I think of it being much less than 35 people

been together for 6 years, engaged for 2 years, married for 6 months. We were supposed to be getting married this year, Sept 8th, but we decided to bring the wedding forward to November last year so we could start trying for a baby, given my age.

not sure why, it was important to me to be married before i had kids. Didnt realise I was so old fashioned!
