*****March 2019 Mummies*****

Ah I’m far too superstitious for that. I’ve settled for cleaning the inside of the washing machine instead

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Isnt that the worst job ever, although my hubby bought an amazing product the other day and our washing machine is now gleaming

Wow we need a life

My colleagues tell me that my gleaming house is proof I need a baby. Apparently I have too much time on my hands

It makes you wonder if keeping a house gleaming will be manageable when a baby comes along

I have ocd, so i know this will have to relax somewhat when the baby comes along

No you won’t but it won’t matter! We haven’t done too badly with both working full time and Bavaria and. One little boys. Def have to prioritise and gleaming isn’t there but clean (mostly) is ok!! 🤣🤣🤣

I’m optimistic it’ll still be possible?! Like, at the minute I work full time, all kind of weird and wonderful shift times and I have quite a busy life outside of work too. All of which will stop once I have a baby. And I don’t think I clean for more than an hour a day - that’s enough to hoover, wipe down the surfaces, make the beds, clean the bathrooms and do a load of laundry. Is it optimistic to think I might have an hour a day where I can whizz round? I’m planning on baby wearing too so that should allow me a bit more time in doing things.... right?!

I meant, no you prob won’t be able to keep it gleaming but you’ll have other things to focus on ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Sorry wasn’t very clear

Yeah you’ll be able to
Do that! It’s when they’re older and they move and need more attention and mess things up!
You must be very efficient on an hour a day so impressed!

My husband always calls me his whirlwind. I just move at a rediculous speed all day round  so I do tend to get quite a bit done in not much time. Plus if you do it every day you never get to the stage where it needs a deep clean that takes the time.

I’m running out of clothes that fit but I’m too early for maternity clothes. My jeans are straining (I’ve already split one pair) and even my Lycra running gear is tight. Any suggestions?!

This is me as well and i am thinking i might be able to do this as well - only time will tell :oooo:

Hair ties on the buttons on trousers? if you have buttons or those silver clip things?

Mine are all stretchy come to think about it, apart from a pair of work trousers....im thinking tights and skirts now for winter.

Ask me in April and I’ll just be rocking in a corner of my filthy house that hasn’t been hoovered in a fortnight and I’ll have a laundry pile so large it’ll be referred to as a national landmark

Due 3rd March

Congratulations everyone x

Welcome Emma_90!
How are you getting on?

Yes ladies I feel totally massive already, blaming it on 3rd baby!

Akua; I have a feeling you’ll be on top of it! Also a runner here, how have you found 1st tri running?! 😳

I have OCD too with my home, and while you care less about the way the house looks it is fairly easy to keep on top of. I used to let her leave toys all over, then at naptime (after lunch) I'd run around putting everything to rights and having a clean, then when she got up she'd leave toys all over again which are easily put back when she's in bed on a night.

You'll find your pattern :)

Minchin - I’ve stopped running this pregnancy and god I miss it! With two previous losses, my doctor told me no running. I know there’s no evidence linking excercise and miscarriage but unfortunately my husband overheard and has taken my running shoes to his office so I literally can’t go as my trusty trainers have been kidnapped. I previously used to run about 30-40 miles a week so to go from that to nothing at all is doing my head in. Although to be fair I’d struggle to get my knockers in a sports bra at the mo, plus I had several weeks of vomiting so I might not have fancied it then. Have you still been going? Is it tougher than normal? Previous two pregnancies I’ve still run half marathons etc during and felt fine, but this has been the first pregnancy that’s literally knocked me for six. Don’t think I’d have managed my normal runs this time round

:lol::lol::lol: I am sure I won't be far behind you with the whole rocking in the corner

Exactly how I think it will go, just embrace the mess while it happens and then when he or she is done, I can just tidy up after them, ready for it to all happen again the next day :oooo:

We can go insane together IVW. Maybe I’ll just hire a cleaner. Although I used to have one and thought it was pointless as I was so concerned that the cleaner would judge me, I’d run round before she came and do a ‘pre-clean’

My oh is actually very good for a man, no disrespect to men out there, with regards to keeping our place clean and tidy, but I still have to tweak what he does afterwards - I just cant help it :oooo: and I know if we got a cleaner I would do just the same, so would almost seem pointless. My way is the only way thats the right way

We have totally got this :oooo:

Thread crashing to say I actually keep my place cleaner now than I did before kids, which sounds strange but with all the chaos of parenting small people I need my environment as organized as possible or else I’m way more irritable and stressed. With 3 small kids my house stays very clean and tidy with no housecleaner or help so yeah- it’s possible!

My husbands also pretty good to be fair. It’s just I tend to be home more and I can’t relax if the chores aren’t done.

He did have an unfortunate incident involving my very lovely John Lewis towels where he mistook bleach for fabric conditioner and filled the washing machine with bleach.... my towels looked like tie dye experiments

Haha! Yes it’s gettinf on top of toys and toy storage that’s important!

Akua that’s a lot of miles! Did my second marathon this year and two half’s. Just started a bit more trail running in spring. Been doing between 3-5 miles 3x a week
And loving the release but can hardly breath. Added at least a minute into each mile but it’s not about pbs is it? Must be hard not running but you’ve other things to focus on. I was going to do a half in October but reckon I’ll give it a miss and focus on running to make me feel
Good. 👍🏼

I know what you mean about that. Needing order and routine at least to some small part that you can still control!
