*****March 2019 Mummies*****

Akua, I’m 6+2. Next scan is at 8+5, only because the hubby is working away for the rest of that week.

We spent the rest of the day at The Sea Lufe Centre in Weymouth. It’s a bit of a trek for us but seeing ds with the ‘fishies’ and ‘froggies’ was definitely worth it. Exhausted now though and feel like crap.

Just looking back through previous posts and I must apologise for my terrible spelling. Autocorrect seems to have played a part and as I’m on my phone the text is so small that I don’t notice it.

Mirror, how are you doing?

Ah I’ve got a scan booked for 6+2 too. Glad you saw the little heartbeat, really hope I get to too

Hi Lauren. Welcome and congrats.
Is this your first pregnancy?

I bought myself some maternity jeans this evening in the Mothercare sale for only £16 if anybody else is in need.
I feel like I'm tempting fate but I couldn't not get them and talked myself into realising buying jeans is not going to effect anything!!

no this is my 3rd baby :) i have a olmost 8 year old boy and a olmost 3 year old girl :) i had open heart surgery for the second time 4 month ago to so im always very high risk x

Glad your scan went well hayz <3

My appointment went ok, I've been referred to somewhere else where they'll decide what to do, maybe remove it but when I mentioned pregnancy doc said probably not til after baby is here. She didn't seem alarmed and said it was good it hadn't grown. Sorted my booking in appointment with the midwife for 3 weeks from now, the day after we get back from our holiday. Also having to start the process of weaning off medication that slows my heart rate, so that'll be interesting!

I’m glad the doctor wasn’t too concerned mirrorfish - hopefully coming off your med is straight forward too!

I’ve got my booking in appointment on 1st August so 2 weeks today x

Oh wow Lauren! What was wrong with your heart to have two surgeries?

Mirrorfish all sounds positive, is the medication you're on for the lump?

How exciting our booking in appointments are approaching fast!

Mirror glad they don’t seem worried. Good luck with your weaning.

Lauren, wow sounds like you’ve got lots going on.

I had my dr appointment on Monday and am now just waiting for the letter about my booking appointment. Unfortunately they need to refer me to a different team to the one they normally use as I want either a home birth or a midwife led unit, neither of which the team with the drs does in my area. We’re in one of those awkward areas where near thing is particularly close.

Oh goodness, defo take everything steady then.

Oh hayz where do you live?

Arse end of nowhere in Hampshire. A little hamlet outside Liphook. Nearest big town/city is 30mins away.

Oh crikey, so is your nearest hospital at least 30mins away too?

Nearest hospital is 40 mins but a different county. The 2 they’d like to send me to are 45 mins outside of rush hour but all are significantly more with traffic. Last time I went to the hospital as soon as labourline would let me and gave birth 14mins after arriving! I don’t want to give birth at the side of the road.

Oh bless you that would be an experience and a half haha!
Maybe opt for a homebirth then so you don't have to worry about going out?
Can just lay in a nice bath until they get there!

Hi, I got my BFP yesterday but had a nice strong one today so thought I would join you.

EDD is 30th also but wouldn’t be surprised if it was brought forward but will more than likely go over and give birth in April if this little pip is anything like her older sister! Oh that’s just sent goosebumps over me typing that!!

Anyway, I’m very excited and just want to tell everyone, far too early though :clock:

Oh hayz that reminds me of the highland midwife. Have any of you been watching it? I caught up on the first episode today and they had to take one lady to Aberdeen hosp which was an hour away on blue lights!

Welcome and congrats Ellie. I'll add you to the list.
Exciting times indeed. It's hard not telling people isn't it.
