**March 2018 Mummies - Tri 2**

Just got back from gp. I've got sinus infection. Got antibiotics to take. Well at least I know what it is. Should clear within 5 days. :)

Charlotte - ouch, but glad you are sorted with meds!

Summertime - thrush is horrible, I've had it a couple of times and hated it. I know you're more limited with treatment when you're pregnant, hope you get some relief soon!

I'm about to go out for a meal with some work colleagues - I know I'll enjoy it when I get there but it's hard having got back from work and summoning up the energy to go out again... in the rain, with two train journeys! Yuck... being very strict with myself about not chickening out!

Merry, I know that feeling. Cozy sofa is so nice with a cup of tea and blanket. I force myself to go out too. You will feel better once you are there. And not long till you get back home. :)

Well, nights out are a lot more effort now... home by just after 11 but up all night with horrible heartburn :( Not going to complain too much though, I'm on half term next week so looking forward to a week of recuperation before the long drag up to Christmas!

My pregnancy pillow arrived yesterday so for those of you contemplating one I thought I'd post a quick review! It's one of the big U- shaped ones, mine came from eBay for just over £20. There are identical but much more expensive ones on amazon etc! Honestly, I had the best night's sleep I've had in months (even before I was pregnant!) It's bulky, but stayed on my side in bed (husband not pushed out by it as he'd expected) and it was so comfy. You can position it to support wherever you feel you need it, and it's fine when you swap sides in the night, you don't really have to reposition anything. I also wrapped it around me on the settee last night and again, it was great. Well worth trying :)

Hey ladies, nice too see some scan pics on here :)
I’m going to have to get a pregnancy pillow soon, I as awake so much last night being uncomfortable and I keep waking randomly in the night for 1-2 hours which isn’t nice,

On a more exciting note, found out today I’m having a girl!! I am beyond happy and so excited and can hardly believe it cause I was convinced it was a boy. I kind feel more relaxed now too cause I’ve had a girl so feel like I know what I’m doing :). I’m sure I’ll still be taken by surprise though cause they’re all different aren’t they.

Got my announcement all ready for Halloween now too, well I’ve bought my pumpkins just need to carve them.

Merry, I used to have heartburn if I ate out or some processed food at home. Try home cooked meals, they really do help. Glad you like your new pillow. Im using just another square one against the wall to rest my leg or my back. :)

Haylian, congratulations! Great news! I know you really wanted a girl. :)

I'm having NHS gender scan tomorrow morning. But I already know I am having a boy. My OH and I really wanted a boy :)

Hello ladies! Wow can't believe how long it has been since I was on here! My due date is now 24th March. Hope everyone is doing well. Going to spend my afternoon catching up on this forum and reading what all is going on with everyone. Can't believe it is less than 2 weeks until my 20 week scan, sooo excited to find out what we are having!
Going to have a good read now through the forum to get caught up!

While I am here can I ask if anyone else is suffering from any pregnancy rashes? I have a red rash all over my tummy, my chest and now seems to be appearing on my back. I went for my flu jab last week and I was going to ask the nurse about it, but the rash seemed to have gone so I didn't. But it has now come back again! Anyone else have a similar problem?

Hi VictoriaLisa - we are now due date buddies as at my NHS 12 week scan mine was moved from 19th back to the 24th!

My 20 week scan is on the 8th of November so 2 weeks on Wednesday, time seems to have gone fast since the 12 week scan and got plans for next 2 weekends which stops the time dragging - aswell as running around after a 3 year old!

ps can't help with the rash - had my flu jab last week also but fingers crossed haven't had any side effects. Hope it eases off soon

It's only once in a while I eat anything that isn't homemade, we don't eat anything processed at home... just had one meal out with friends! Good luck for the scan, let us know when you get back!

Haylian, congratulations!

Victoria - no idea on the rash but I've read it's common - you could always give your midwife a ring if you need to. I'll update the first page with your new due date :)

Hey girls. I'm so hungry lately. Can't wait for next meal haha.

I had a scan yesterday. Baby was active and happy. All looked good. I already new it's a boy. Lady could not see the gender cause he was hiding a bit.

My placenta is not high enough so I'm having another scan in January. I hope it moves higher otherwise it's C-section.

Hi all, Sorry that i dont seem to be around much life has just been so hetic, Ive had my 20 week scan & everything is looking great, We are having a baby girl so ive been sorting out all of my sons clothes & have kept all the unisex ones & have given the rest away, I feel a shopping spree coming on soon lol, I also passed my driving test on Monday i was so excited :-) Hope that everybody is doing well ? X

Ah congratulations Lou on having a baby girl and a healthy 20 week scan! Cant believe almost all of us are over the halfway mark.
Charlotte congratulations again on a baby boy! You too Haylian on a baby girl, I remember you saying you would like another girl.
I have been feeling better than ever in the pregnancy! I am startung to feel more and more movement everyday and could feel a little kick/punch from the outside the other day! Amazing!
Literally have something on every weekend from now until Christmas as well as getting a new bathroom fitted and the whole house painted so the time is really flying in!
Xx

Sounds like a busy few weeks loveandpeace!

Loopylou - congrats on both, you definitely need a shopping spree!

Anyone else had a sudden increase in baby movements? In the past three days or so baby has suddenly felt a lot more active and the movements are a LOT stronger - OH felt them for the first time last night which was lovely, but it's weird how quickly they've got more powerful. I'm assuming it's partly that baby has moved position, I'm feeling now big kicks above my belly button and what I think are punches down below to one side - maybe it's moved out of the way of the anterior placenta for the first time. I was 22 weeks on Tuesday so it's like baby has decided to really make its presence known!

Congratulations Lou! :) It's so nice to find out gender.

Girls, have you tried quitting sugar for a bit? It will help with rash.

I'm still having sinus thing. Finished meds but still have it. Will have some steam later on my face to help it a bit.

Merry, my baby is very active some days and then calm other days. I can feel him inside when he awake. Is your baby active all the time?

Well until this week I was feeling gentler movements in the evenings when I got home from work, but very little the rest of the time. Now it's on and off with much stronger movements pretty much all the time, but even more so in the evenings and in the early hours - I'm often awake around 2-3am and it seems that's party time for baby :)

It's as though baby got all it's sleeping done in the first half of the pregnancy and now it's using up all that stored energy!

Charlotte I had awful bother with my sinus from my bfp until a week or two ago. It kept me awake most nights. Hope it clears for you soon
Merry yes about a qeek ago I was starting to get a wee bit worried because I wasnt feeling proper movement but i was 22 weeks on Monday and just this week he/she is really making themselves known! Especially when I am sitting still. I cant wait to see if they react to music or hubbys voice.x

Im also starting to feel a little bit lightheaded at times so trying to move and stand slowly and drink a lot of water. Its mad to think our bodies have up to 45% increased blood flow!!

Merry, Loveandpeace, sinus thing is so annoying. Boiling kettle now to try steam for 10 min. Hope it works.

Try to lay down on the sofa after you've eaten meal and baby will start to move cause food gives a lot of energy and you will feel more kicks. I love feeling kicks it's very calming. I read that at this age baby already has sleeping patterns. :)
