Hi girls! Now in tri 2! EDD is now 12th March however who knows what happens with two babies! Can we upload pictures on phones?! Tried to upload pics of the babies but can't figure it out!

Does everyone get a glucose test at 16 weeks? My 16 week appointment is the 22nd (even though ill be 17 weeks) and I dont know what to expect.
My friend said her sister got pregnancy diabetes with her first due to eating too much fruit,can this be right? Ive been eating a lot of fruit and now am wary about it!

My 16 week appointment is in 2 weeks, when I'll be 18 weeks...assuming this is fairly normal! From what I've read nothing much happens at this one, although hoping to hear the heartbeat.

Nice to see so many people moving into tri 2! I'm back to feeling fine, bit tired but nothing out of the ordinary! Hope this is the same for the rest of you I have noticed my tummy gets achey by the end of my work day, maybe the muscles getting tired of being stretchier?!

My 16 week appointment is when I am 17 weeks so I guess they cant get it always bang on. Hope I hear a heartbeat too! Although I do have a doppler all I have managed to find so far is the placenta flow.
I've started to get some muscle ache in the tummy area lately. The other night it was fairly sore on the right hand side, like a bad stitch.

Oh is stressing me out. We are trying to get bigger house next year and I try not to spend too much on rubbish. We already own 2 houses, 1 is smaller and the other one is big but rented out to parents.

So yesterday he decided to by a speed boat and I got upset. Firstly sailing season is over and secondly we need to focus on the bigger house. I hate arguing.

Shall I just accept this and move on?

Hi Charlotte, sorry to hear you're stressed out . Is this your first baby? Maybe OH is feeling he will lose his sense of fun when the baby comes along and this is to hold on to that? Did he always want a speedboat or was it just a spur of the moment purchase?
If he always wanted one and got a bargain (especially if its end of season), then I guess its justified. I know why you got upset though. I am finding even small things my OH does getting on my nerves when it wouldnt usually!
We are also looking to buy a bigger house (have been for a year now without fail) and rent out the one we own and are in currently. I am now in no rush or panic to move, we will be fine where we are until the right thing comes along. We will just have to adapt and make room for everything. At the end of the day its our little cosy home for now and thats all that matters.
I am probably like your OH in the respect that I have been wanting to dip into our savings for a break/babymoon away and my OH thinks we shouldn't, that it would mess up the 'target' savings for this year. I have almost talked him round though lol. My mum passed away 3 weeks before my BFP and its been a stressful time so think we deserve to get away for a while.

Try to understand why he bought the boat and come to a compromise of some sort. Boys and their toys!!!!

Loveandpeace so sorry about your mum. It's so awful. Hope you are coping.

I'm trying to accept my ohs purchase but still it gets on my nerves. He is a diver and has all the diving things, he also rides the motorbike and to add he has also a campervan. I think it's enough already. Now the boat.

This is our first baby and maybe he feels like he needs more toys instead of saving for a bigger house. I will take a deep breath and move one x

It was an awful shock losing my Mum so the BFP was very bittersweet. However, if anything it has helped ease the pain and gives hope for the future. It is certainly an emotional rollercoaster grieving for and missing her and being pregnant at the same time. I am lucky to have amazing support with OH, family and friends though so I coping pretty well . Its nice to have a little blessing coming our way after all the heartache.

Wow he really likes his toys and with already having so much, getting a speedboat was perhaps a bit unnecessary!! Tell him he will have to stop right there and no more!!!

This is our first baby too! Also my OH rides and races motorbikes. Racing season has just began and so starts the cold, early mornings to go and help be his pit crew! We have 5 motorcycles between us (I only have one but dont know when I will get on it again!), a campervan (which I do love and look forward to using with the baby when a little older) and he has 2 vintage cars. He doesnt care about getting a bigger house he just wants a bigger garage!

I always tell myself if he can afford it, its out of his own money and it not affecting our joint expenses , then I shouldnt complain. Also I would rather him spend money on that that gamble, drink excessively or do drugs lol!

Go and book yourself to a luxurious spa day when you will be about 5/6 months.x

You've been through so much. Glad your oh is very supportive. How interesting your oh likes motorbikes too. I don't mind him spending his own money as long as it's something totally unnecessary.
I told him not to buy any large items or pets while we are looking for bigger house. We have 3 cars between us 2 so it's like carpark outside already.

Midwife told me today that men change as soon as the baby is in their arms. So will see ha ha

Had app with midwife today and we listened to baby's heartbeat. So amazing!!!

How far along are you?

Spa day sounds good! I like relaxing spa or massage. x

Ha ha funny you say that about pets, OH was looking at us getting a puppy before the baby is here! What is that about?

Was that your 16 week midwife appointment? Mines not until next Friday even though I am 16 + 1 today. Although I do have a doppler at home and actually just last night was the first time I was able to hear the babys heartbeat! It was only for a few seconds then they must have moved! Up until now I can only locate the placenta flow.

Girls what do you think about sex in pregnancy? I haven't had any for only reason that Im scared. My doc told me to wait until 12 weeks at least.

Now I am 15+ 4 and I really need sex cause its on my mind all the time! When I see oh after work I just want to drag him into bed.

I can't wait any longer. Would gentle sex be ok what do you think?

Ha ha a puppy, will he really get one?

This was 15 week midwife app, we listened to baby's heartbeat. I think doppler would stress me out.

My midwife told me to come to clinic anytime without appointment if I would like to listen to the heartbeat. Thats nice of her!

How is everyone doing? I was hoping the nausea would have eased off but it's still here!

Charlotte, they say sex in pregnancy is fine, but I would only do it if you were really comfortable.

Hi Lozza, welcome to tri 2 Sorry to hear that you're still suffering with sickness. I'm 16+4 and my sickness is only just starting to ease. I haven't actually been sick for over a week now but have still been feeling it. It's no where near as bad as it was though so heading in the right direction. Fingers crossed for you that yours eases soon xx

Charlotte 9 i doubt he would, we have enough on our hands without a puppy!

We had quite a lot of sex in the first trimester as my libido increased, even with the tiredness! Oddly now in the second trimester I haven't had the urge as much but we still have sex. For me orgasms are more intense being pregnant. DH loves my changing body and I have actually found I have more confidence than I ever did when naked.
