**March 2018 Mummies - Tri 2**

Hi ladies, how is Tri 2 for you all so far?

I'm 15 weeks today, only 5 weeks until the next scan! Every time a Thursday comes round I get excited lol.

Its great to be able to wear clothes that show off my bump now and thankfully it kind of does look like a proper bump and not just all fat. Purchased some small baby things at the weekend and last night Amazon were doing a really good deal for one day on a baby monitor we had been looking at and that a friend has and swears by. It was reduced from £200 to £90! So thats our first main purchase.

We are getting our bathroom done up now in the next few weeks then getting stuck into painting the whole house, let the nesting begin! Finally starting to feel more real now.

I know I am only 15 weeks but these past few days I could swear I have felt occasional flutters in my womb. Its like tickles or bubbles inside. I am pretty sure its the baby! I hope so. If it is, its a wonderful feeling.
xx

I'm 14+2 today. :) All my clothing is too tight. Only 2 dresses fit me. Will order maternity dress online. What's the best shop girls do you think?

I tried Gap and did not like any.

How big are your bumps? Very very visible?

Hi Due date buddy  15 weeks, can you believe it?!

I have been feeling definite movements for the last few days too, it's so lovely isn't it.

My bump is BIG everyone is always surprised when I tell them how many weeks I am as I look much further gone. I was the same with my first though and he was very large born so I was kind of expecting it again!

I have a private gender scan booked for Thursday next week :) We will be able to start on the nursery after we have found out!

That monitor sounds like a great deal! So far we have bought a cot, a breast pump and a next to me crib. We sold everything after our son was born 5 years ago so are having to start from scratch again! xx

I have only bought maternity leggings and tights from Peacocks so far. Their skinny jeans dont look comfortable as aren't over the bump (which I think I prefer). My sister bought me maternity jeans and two tops from Next in the sale but I havent tried them on yet.
I actually was going to have a nosy in New Look and H & M after work today and check out their maternity stuff.
I have only been using the hairband trick until now on jeans and wearing leggings.
Today I am wearing the maternity tights with one of my own dresses. The tights are so comfy!
Boohoo seem to have some nice maternity stuff on their website and reasonable prices too.

If I get a chance later I will post a bump pic. It depends what I wear but its pretty visable but might not be so to other people!

Hey DDB Dee!

Same here people think I look further along than I really am! Oh dear, think I am in for a big baby lol.
Cant wait to find out your gender!

I am a bit wary of spending too much on things for breast feeding as what if I am unable to breastfeed or the baby doesn't take to the boob? I suppose I could always sell it.

Oh I have been looking at those Chicco next to me cribs and very tempted to get one too and just keep the Moses basket downstairs. How much did you pay for yours?

I think we will try and hold off for a pram or any other bigger items until the January sales, although that seems so far away! xx

15 today for me too. Still no real bump that doesn't look like I just got my flab back. I have had a couple of "nudges" today that we're too strong to be gas.

Roll on 20 weeks

Ha ha I did not know about maternity tights. I checked a few shops online, found a few dresses. Not sure about those very snuggled ones. Prefer looser ones.

I have a bump too. :) Its showing when I wear my usual dresses. I think Im showing early cause Ive got belly fat too.

I got some maternity leggings from eBay that are surprisingly good quality and very cheap! Also got some over the bump jeans from next which are great.

Primark do maternity tights too!
Yes I prefer the babydoll type dresses so I actually just bought a size up for a few things in primark there. Some maternity stuff is quite expensive so im goinng to see how far I can go with long, loose, bigger tops & my own dresses for a while.
I did get a bargain pair of skinny ripped maternity jeans for only £9 in New Look maternity sale rail so i think thats my maternity shopping all done!
I love my bump,in fact never admired my body as much as I do now! It took me to be pregnant to really love and appreciate my body!

I can't wait to find out the gender either loveandpeace! Do I remember you saying that you're not finding out?

Know what you mean about the breast pump, I just want to be as prepared as possible for breast feeding but like you say it doesn't always work out so if that happens I will definitely sell it.

We payed £164 for the crib on offer in Tesco. Our plan is to use the Moses basket downstairs too.

It's lovely seeing everyone's bumps on the bump pictures thread! I've just uploaded a pic of mine that I took on Sunday!

No we're not finding out.

I saw a Tommee Tippee breast pump in Lidl yesterday for only £17.99 so I might just get that as its not that much really and if I cant breastfeed can always sell it. DH said if I can breastfeed then he can go out and buy whatever is needed but its better being prepared like you say.

Oh I havent looked at the bump pics thread, I'll have a nosy now :-)
xx

Girls been having back pain today. I guess it's normal. Too much sitting all day. Did not go even for a walk. Its raining here on East coast.

Have anyone got back their screening results? My letter arrived today. :)

Charlotte, I've had some back pain too, usually in bed weirdly. Ligaments etc stretching I think!

I've been telling everyone at work this week (I'm a teacher, so off until this week!) Anyone else find it weird telling people? It's great, and everyone's been really happy, but I've found it really awkward to drop it into conversation :) Anyway, it's nice people know now. My bump is starting to show properly - to me anyway, I've had people looking at me sceptically - and it's starting to firm up, which is really cool! Plus - maternity tights. So comfy!

Merry, it's so great you've been telling people. :) It does feel weird! I agree.

I only tell people who ask me if I am cause I've got a small bump. :)

But if people say nothing I keep it to myself.

My backache eases if I lay flat on the sofa. I guess too much sitting.

I've been looking for new dresses. Can't wait to order some. Got nothing to wear. x

Charlotte I got mine a week or 2 ago... both low but downs was 1:750.

I'm not concerned though. I was more worried on the others but the numbers were tiny

Hi ljd!
Its fab to see more people hopping over to tri 2!
Im feeling pretty good energy wise most of the day but come about 9pm Im pooped!
As its my first its odd getting used to the heavy feeling in your uterus. Its most definitely sinking now lol.x

I literally look massive! I'm a small size 6/8 and my bump is huge for only 14 weeks. Guess being my second I'll show earlier on. Saw some old work friends today and they were shocked at how big I am. Was diabetic last time so wondering if maybe I am this time being so big. Have my glucose test at 16 weeks so will find out soon. Hope you girls are all doing well.xx

Does everyone get a glucose test at 16 weeks? My 16 week appointment is the 22nd (even though ill be 17 weeks) and I dont know what to expect.
My friend said her sister got pregnancy diabetes with her first due to eating too much fruit, can this be right? Ive been eating a lot of fruit and now am wary about it!
Xx
