Long termers 6 months or more

Glad you got through the procedure ok, even if it was painful - at least your results were good. FX that you'll get your positive after this as I've heard that fertility increases. Hoping that it's the case for you xxx

Glad you got good news nikkibiscuit (and glad the appointment is done and out of the way now!). Let’s hope you’re one of people that they talk about when they say it gives you a higher chance of conceiving over the next couple of months! Although it didn’t happen for me, my fertility doctor said after my HyCosy (which is basically same thing!) that people had a higher chance for a couple of months after having it done. My theory is that they wouldn’t say it if there wasn’t evidence of it! :)

Thanks everyone. Just out from HSG now. Everything normal...tubes clear so that is positive.

Not gonna lie was f**king painful. I actually swore....poor nurse lol nearly broke her hand. Was uncomfortable right up to the dye bit then was very painful. So glad it only lasted a few minutes....Not sure it bodes well for my pain threshold for Labour! Lol.

So I guess it's just back on with DTD next week. Will have this cycle and next cycle before my follow up appt. So good ol beat the doctor game x

Least it's all over and its all good results. I had sore cramping and bleeding after it for about 48 hours. It wasn't nice but at least it's over with now. I was told by the doc that you have a better chance of getting preggers in the 3 months post HSG. So give it your best shot !

I am still having brown discharge for 7 days now when I should have had my period. I am mega bloated too. I am a bit worried about why this is happening but at same time Its prob just my body quitting and shutting down. Another pregnancy annoucments this week..think that's 3 this week. I have told.myself it should be easier soon as not many couples left I know that haven't just had a baby or hare pregnant. Then I can just get on with my childless incomplete life.

Just dropping by to send some good wishes and baby dust to you all. I'm sorry so many of you are having such a rubbish time. I still follow this thread as I'm still rooting for every single one of you.

Nikki - I'm glad you got through the HSG and there were no problems. Fingers crossed a good clear out helps.

Alexis - I'm sorry it's so tough. Sending huge hugs. I know there's nothing anyone can say that can make it better.

Really hoping someone on this thread gets some good news soon.

Alexis I had this in November last year. It started when I was due on and lasted for a week. It’s why I’ve put possible CP in my signature as I’m not 100% sure if it was a CP or not. I had a very faint line which appeared 10 mins after taking HPT, but then my period came on 7 days late. It may have just been an odd period though. I’ve never had it happen since.

Cd27 for me today (yes I’m still not pregnant)
AF will be here in a couple of days

Sad to see not much luck here yet :(

So glad it went well for you Nikki, fingers crossed it increases your chances for the next few months!

Alexis, my periods almost always either start like that or remain like that the whole way through. Maybe it was just an annovulatory cycle? You haven’t taken any weird supplements or anything this month have you?

Thanks so much everyone. Turned into a bit of a horror of a day. Couple hours after HSG whilst I was at work my mum called to say she had to have our dog pts. I was heartbroken we have had her since I was 17. She was a grand age (typical jack russell) but she will be missed terribly. I was gutted I couldn't be there for my mum and to say goodbye as I live 300 miles away now.

So had a good cry when I finally got home from work at 9pm after a long day. And you have all lifted my spirits so lovely to read so many well wishes. Thank you all x

I had this once when I was 6dpo so no where near the time af was due and it continued for 2 weeks then eventually my period showed up.

This time it was all normal timing. I usually habe brown dc 2 days pre at then I will get some cramping, af will show up for 4 days then back to brown for 2 days. This time after the cramping it stayed brown...went almost black and then back to brown but has never been proper blood or an actual flow. I feel so bloated. I haven't tested as don't see the point in paying for a test and feeling the disappointment from then getting my hopes up.

I am just worried now as this is the 1st ime ever to not have had a period as such

Awww sorry Nikki . My wee JRT cross is my actual.baby. he's 10 and I hope he can live to 17. My neighbours JRT was 16 last month when she went to doggy heaven. They are part of the family
Sending you hugs. X

Hey all,

Nikki, great news about the hyCosy, a nice little tick off the list for things being ok - I too was told when I had mine that it often gives you a good 'flush through' (delightful!) so here's hoping for the next few months! Fingers crossed for you lovely!

Alexis, I don't want to get your hopes up but might it be worth taking a test? I totally totally get that you don't want to have false hope - but if this is a possible chemical might it be worth knowing especially as one of your biggest concerns was that you hadn't caught yet? Really don't want to upset you - just a thought xx

Hope you are all ok - had my biopsy done last week, that was a treat! Got the next one in a month then it's all systems go! If any of you wants any more info on the Dr Quenby / Brosens RMC experience just let me know! Rooting for you all! xx

If it was a chemical would I eventually get an actual pwriod? Would it show on a test if af was due 7 days ago?

Not sure it would show Alexis if it was a chemical as I got a negative with both mine almost immediately when I started spotting x

Not going to bother buying a test. Whatever has happened it doesn't change anything. I only hope I get a normal period next cycle. I am just worried something is wrong as I've never only had brown discharge/weord blood as a period

It’s common for all women to have one odd cycle every 12 months so try not to worry, I’m sure it will all be back to your normal cycle next month xx

It's more the fact I am.mega bloated and having weird aches down below like I'm on my period but the brown has completely gone now.

If you’re still getting weird symptoms maybe test? If a bfn maybe go to the doctors?

Hope you are all well lovelies. I am eagerly awaiting the return of DH from a 3 night stag do in Budapest. Heaven help me what state he will be in lol. But he is getting one nights sleep to recover then we are on mission #beatthedoctor

Actually looking forward to the rest of the week off together and some fun stuff planned and being able to baby dance when we want all week without stressing about work. Will defbe making the most of this one x

Really confused! So I’m pretty sure af has arrived today (booooooo) I’ve had spotting all day, slight cramping and now there was a lot more pink when I went to the loo. Today is cd26, which would mean a 25 day cycle - never had one that short before. However, I did opk tests since cycle day 9 and my peak test was on cycle day 13... so I wasn’t expecting to get af until at least Friday but really going by previous months positive opks/periods I was expecting af to show on Saturday or Sunday! I just don’t get it! I thought a positive showed that I would get it roughly 2 weeks from then! Anyone understand them better than I do?!

I was always the same as you. AF would show about 2 weeks after a strong positive. I did sometimes have cycles that were only 25 days but I would get my positive earlier so it was always expected. Do you feel your flow is enough to class as CD1 today? If the red flow started later then I'd count from tomorrow.
