have you ever used a cross trainer or running machine? they tell you how many calories youve burned. about half an hour easy going on the cross trainer does 100 calories. then you get someperspective of what the number actually mean in terms of energy used. Youve got to eat less calories than you use up to loose weight!
 
P.S. dont aim for 700 kcal a day, this woman is insane!! :rofl:

1500 kcal per day is a decent weight loss diet.

I just finished chilli and rice yummmmmm i was starved!
 
What about fruit etc? x sorry I'm kinda new to this! Plus I make homemade meals, how do I work out cals in that? x
 
you can google "how many calories in a..." thats how I learned that avocados are more calories than a marsbar :faint:

Its harder with home cooked foods, Im the same, got no idea what is in my dinners, so I count through the day and just try and make sure my dinner is full of veg/salad and low in carbs (carbs have a lot more calories than veg)
 
I just bumped myself up to 960! I want more cals but Odhrán isn't kind enough to let me have them x x
 
:lol: know the feeling! Morgans in bed, just fed him and he went back to sleep. Im off to bed now. Gonna weigh in in the morning but we're off out to baby massage first thing so might not get to post til Im home at lunchtime. Good luck tomorrow hun!!!
 
Not sure I'll bother with cals tbh, I'll just eat healthy and see where it gets me x good luck ladies! x
 
I dont even know what to think. Ive GAINED 4lb??????????????????????????????????

surely thats just wrong, how can anyone gain 4lb in 3 days let alone when youve spent those 3 days starving. Im bloody confused.
 
i've missed this some how! can i join in? i want to lose 10lb by new year, but for xmas would be great! AFs here atm tho and i'm attempting giving up smoking AGAIN so i can see it being a disaster! want to go from 142lb, which is 10st2 (i think!) to 132, which will take me into normal BMI aswell! going to be following slimming world (loosely) and wii fitting :lol:
 
Alice youre here, HELP ME!!! Im having a meltdown over 4lb weight gain. Its actually impossible for me to have eaten less this week :(
 
How many calories have you been having? I found wen I didn't eat enough I either maintained or gained! I swear by slimming world now cos you can eat whet you like, it's just got to be balanced out right! Is AF due?
 
AF due a week tomorrow. :/ how can anyone gain that much weight in 3 days. youd have to live off mc donalds. ive dramatically reduced my daily calorie intake. ive been hungry for 3 days. gutted. gonna stick at it tho, hopefully it will all come off in 1 go!
 
A month or so back I literally put on half a stone overnight :shock: I weight myself every morning and had the shock of my life when I got on the scales!
 
Tiny I don't know if it would kick in so fast but on crash diets your body sometimes goes into starvation mode because it doesn't know when the next meal will be. I dunno. And keep drinking!! Water is calorie free, and fluid retention is a right bugger! My sister is a dietitian, I wish she would come and do my shopping and cook all my meals for me!!

I've gained 2lb.

Seriously...the gym is a big con!!!

Well last night I decided that Im going to try this whole vegitarien thing. Im also counting calories with a passion. *sigh*
 
Me and my mum have got a bet on. First one to lose an inch of their thighs wins £5 off the other person.

I weighed my pasta today and had the recommended portion and had soya 'meat'balls at only 28cals each. :)

Also went shopping and brought some snacks like apples and babybel ect.

Hows everyone getting on?
