Hi Ladies,

I have been offline for ages so missed so much. I hope you are all doing ok and looking forward to moving over to second trimester group soon :)

The reason why I have been away from the forum is because quite honestly I have been swamped. Work has been crazy and on top of that I have had such a bad nausea. I thought it was easing off but at 11 weeks it came back and not I feel worse than ever! This is nothing like with my DD. Is anyone else feeling like this at almost 12 weeks and is this normal? I cant stand it much longer! I cant eat and I wake up in the middle of the night feeling so sick I cant go back to sleep:sick:

Had the Harmony test to find out if baby has downs syndrome and the results should come any day now.. really nervous. Is anyone else having it? I will find out gender as well which is exciting.

Take care everyone!! xx
Hi :) welcome back! I can completely relate to the swamped and sick part. Im not even functioning anymore! I wouldn't wish this sickness on an enemy, hope u feel better soon xx

Hey 11-12th weeks were the worst for me with sickness! Hopefully once you get past 13 it'll ease. Saying that I've been so ill today lol. Fx for your harmony test I'm sure all will be fine! Xx

Laura maybe make an appointment for your sickness. It certainly sounds extreme you might just be one of the unlucky ones hun xx

So I have been feeling so rotten at work today that I cba to work, so looking at maternity clothes sales online. £31 spent in New Look on 2 dresses, 3 tops and a skirt - I call that a bargain! And some £9 jeans reduced from £35 in Mothercare. Very happy :D

Ohhh bargain!!

I'm starting to struggle to breath in jeans now, yesterday i fastened mine with a hair bobble!!

What size do you get in maternity wear, do you just buy your usual size or bigger? I'm confused how it works!

buy the size you'd normally wear. although in jeans I actually buy a size down. I've got super skinny legs but big hips so usually wear a 12 but with over the bump maternity jeans in wear a 10 no problem

How's everyone's bump coming along. I've definately got a bump now that's very noticeable in certain clothes.

Perks of working in a GP surgery .. just got a Nurse Practitioner to have a look in my ear, she said she can see why it's so bad and painful for me, but not happy to prescribe anything more because I'm pregnant. So waiting for a message from a GP to see if they'll see me and prescribe for me. If not looks like a day off work tomorrow haha x

Thanks PB and LuckyLaura, I really hope this will ease off soon. Otherwise I will see GP and see if I can get a sick note for a couple of days/a week because I cant function!

Flowerbomb, this is my second pregnancy and I feel like my uterus is poking out a bit and cannot hold in my belly at all. Not a bump but feels kind of hard. I am naturally quite slim and have a flat tummy so I can clearly feel my belly is a little harder. Read that you cant get a belly this early and if you do its most probably gas or bloating but perhaps my uterus knows I am pregnant and have started to expand even though the baby is very small :)

With my first I didn't show for ages ( think probably 20-25 weeks )

I will use my old maternity clothes but will probably invest in a few more things when I need it. I feel most comfortable in stretchy dresses.

I've just booked in to have my flu jab on Friday, I've not had it yet and it's been playing on my mind with whats in the news lately about this flu spreading from australia.
I've googled so many times if its safe to have it lol.....my mind goes into panic mode with anything lol.

at first I was thinking it could be bloating but the bump is there first thing in the mornings before ive had anything to drink or eat.

I'm struggling to find nice maternity clothes at the minute, they all seem so plain and stripey
