**** july mummies 2018 *****

I think NHS wise, from what I've learnt along the way working in Obs & Gynae. You have a dating scan at 12 weeks, then another scan at 20 weeks where you can find the gender and they do all the testing etc.

But I might be completely wrong as I actually have no clue haha x

Yeah no this is right and exactly how I was hun. I was just curious as KHTW doesnt get told the gender at NHS 20 week in Aberdeen and I do in Dundee. Thats so strange xx

I thought gender scan was week 20 or am I wrong? xx

You can get one from 16 weeks, that's what we had with DD (privet). 20 weeks is the anomaly scan (not sure if I got the name right) but they check for various things x

In Scotland they won't tell you at the 20 weeks scan what you are having, they are not allowed to x

KHTW that's weird I found out I was having a girl at the 20 week scan. Everyone finds out here maybe the counties are different? x

That sucks!!!! They won't tell you in Aberdeen :(

So unfair I don't know why everyone in the UK cant get the same maternity care?

:( just had emergency doctors appointment as cramping so bad, causing back pain and pain going down my legs.

He had a feel and said doesn't feel ectopic. The symptoms I'm describing could mean it's my uterus changing, or a miscarriage. He said it's literally a waiting game and if I see blood or pain gets worse to go back. He's put my pregnancy down as threatened miscarriage :'( x

JemRose I'm so sorry youve went through that. Get your feet up and try and relax as much as you can. I've been through it and know nothing I can say will help or make you panic less. I know it's scary but hopefully it's just your uterus stretching. If the doc doesn't think it's ectopic then at least that's one good thing. How's the pain now? I'm hoping your sticky bean hangs in there Xxx

I know and they say best thing is not to stress, but pretty tough not to with this going on!
Honestly, does this sound like a miscarriage? I'm gonna go get another test in a min and pray for a strong line to show.
The pain is alright now but keeps coming and going. I'm gonna have a bath and see if I can relax a bit. Thank you, I'm hoping it hangs in there too xxx

I know love it's not easy at all. TBH mine was at almost 9 weeks and the bleeding started before the cramping so I don't know. But it's your first and your uterus has a lot of stretching to do, it's double the size by 7 weeks. With dd I had really bad cramping at 4 to 5 weeks to the point I was in tears and phoned the doc thinking it was another mc. The doctor said it most likely was so they can be wrong!!! So I'm hoping it's the case for you too. You're not bleeding so hang on to that.

Good idea see how you feel after a nice hot bath. Thinking of you xxx

Bless you, I can't even imagine what that's like to go through :(

I had a laparoscopy in July and was told I had a tilted uterus and that pregnancy would stretch it out and it would fix itself back to normal. So maybe I am having a bit more stretching and pain than others? X

Oh JemRose. Please try to relax as much as you can. For my two chemicals and the early loss as well as the loss at 14 weeks, I had bleeding first, then the cramping followed shortly after.

I've had quite a lot of cramping today and I have to keep reminding myself that it's normal. There's a lot happening down there!

Thank you. I only mention it to hopefully ease your fears a bit. Because like I said 1st baby and no bleeding so it could be completely normal, if scary.

Yes its absolutely possible it could be that.

To be honest JemRose in my opinion a lot of doctors see someone in early pregnancy in hospital with no priors, with "miscarriage symptoms", rule out the serious things and go just ahead and say "Yeah its probably a miscarriage nothing we can do" type of thing, and move along to the more "serious" cases in their eyes. Don't be disheartened because of what the doctor said, thats going to be a sticky little bean! xxx

Jemrose, I had awful pain with my daughter I had to take Co codemol! I prepared for another mc...she was fine. But the pain was so bad I was crippled and crying but it was like period pain. If it's more on one side I would ask for a scan! Fx for you.
Most GPS don't know a lot about pregnancy imo x

Jemrose

It sounds like your uterus is stretching and it has a whole lot of stretching to do! I hope you can find a way to relax a bit xx

Exactly what I've been like. It's the so painful and crippling xx

JemRose, I'd go and get yourself some pink dye tests from Asda or one of the poundshops or bargain shops.

Sunday to Thursday, I would expect to see more progression than that so I would probably rest up, relax and hope that you're just very early still. I know that's not what you want to hear probably, but I've been through 3 early losses this summer and with all of them, the lines stayed the same for a while before disappearing.

I really hope it's just crappy tests. I hate blue dye tests.

GG I was going to say the same thing but didn't want to. My tests stayed positive for almost 2 weeks I think maybe longer.

But Jemrose like I said you've not had any bleeding and I really think you're okay just getting some strong stretching. The top one does look stronger though? Maybe get yourself a 2pk of clearblue Digis. Do one tomorrow and do the other in a week or so as it might help to watch the weeks change? Edit; I also hate blue tests xx

There isn't anywhere else other than tesco round here and they only sell that test. I will order one online :) the test I took today is definitely stronger but still not very much :/

I wouldn't worry too much about the lines hun honestly. How is the pain now? xx

My midwife told me every time that lines mean nothing, so definitely hold on to hope. No bleeding is always a good sign xxx
