Hello & Happy Boxing Day everyone!
Been following this thread since early Dec & thought it's time i said Hi. Told my family yesterday (they are very excited!).
First baby Due 31st July so I feel really behind you all!
Booking appointment with midwife is on 9th Jan in week 11... it feels like time has slowed! So exciting to see some of your scans already!
Have taken comfort in reading all your posts Hungover is a good description of early pregnancy! My nausea was made 10 times worse by a constant horrible metal/bitter taste.
Did any of you find the Pregnacare vitamins (I tried the ones with & without iron) gave you the metal taste? I stopped taking them last week after Googling & the metal taste got better. Just taking folic acid & vitamin D now.
Anyone had the same thing? I know we're all different, but if you did, did you find a pregnancy vitamin brand that didn't give you the bad taste?
What a bloody morning!
Got to the hospital nice and early, got the letter out, realised this appointment was at a different hospital, 20 minutes the other way from our house, so 40 minutes from where we were. Straight in the car and on the phone, no answer. Got to the right place at 9:30 And they were fab and said they'd fit me in but it would be a long wait. Had the scan eventually at 12.30.
What a wrigglebum we have. I was constantly having to shift about and like my tummy to get the monkey to move for a decent look.
Eventually got good measurements and measuring 13 weeks today so official due date is 4th July.
Honestly amazing to see it move about like that. We were watching it flip over on its side, punch and kick, squirm and wriggle. Just amazing.
I had chosen not to have the tests done, but she asked before we started and I thought, might as well. Nuchal fold measured 2.1mm so she was really happy with that.
We got an amazing view of an absolutely perfectly clear little nose and mouth. She was even shocked by it, but of course, wrigglebum wouldn't let us get a photo of it, lol.
So...here is the wriggly little monkey
