Fantastic news for both of you welcome to July mummies
Congrats to you!!!! I got a bfp this morning, as baby was planned, my daughter who is 10 knows that she won't be the youngest anymore, she isn't taking it well at all, says that she doesn't want to be a middle child (although she loves babies)... I haven't told her yet that I am pregnant; I keep reassuring her that I won't treat her any differently but she is still very anxious. Any tips on how to let her know the news? I plan to tell my children when I am 20weeks (if I ask not huge before then)Hi. I belong here
I tested this morning and got a very strong BFP. I still can't quite believe it and keep looking at the test lol.
I'm also considering buying another one from Boots as this was just a cheap one off amazon (by Cassanovum)
Going by LMP I'm 4+4 but it has actually been 3 weeks since I DTD so I could be a few days further ahead. But I'm sticking to LMP dates anyway lol and am due 5th July by that.
I have two children who are 11.5 and almost 9 (in a fortnight!), I split up with their dad 7 years ago now. He's not the dad of this baby.
That's a great plan Phoenix85... I think she will feel so special as she is the only one to receive the "big sister" gift. It's impressive how your 1st born could tell that you are expecting. And wow @ how big you are already! I wanted to tell the kids just before the 20wk scan Coz I don't want them to have to wait 8 months for baby to arrive but I guess it all depends on when I start showing. Will you have anymore after no.3? I want 1 more so that no.3 doesn't feel like the only child in the house (my kids will be 11 and 14 by July) and so that they can have someone to play with. Thats why I am hoping for twins ... MOh, sounds very similar to me, Purple!
I told my eldest yesterday about the baby, well, he kind of guessed and asked if I was pregnant. He's been wanting a baby brother for ages so is very happy.
My youngest is 9 on Monday and doesn't want to be the middle child either lol. So not sure she'll be too happy.
I'm planning on telling her Christmas eve. I've seen a "Best Big Sister" badge on Amazon that I'm going to buy, and wrap it up with some 'jamas for her to open on Christmas eve lol. I'll be 12 weeks by then, don't think I'll be able to hide it past then.
I'm only 6+4 and yesterday I had to buy two new bras a size bigger (gone up a cup size already) and none of my jeans fit, I'm wearing my old ones that are a size bigger and they are getting hard to fasten. I'm thinking I'll have to buy maternity jeans before Christmas.
I made my booking in appointment yesterday, but it's not til the 29th December which is ages away, I'll be 13 weeks by then, but it's a long appointment and I don't think I'll have childcare because my mum normally works on the afternoons they have the antenatal appointments.
The kids will sit and play on their tablets or whatever, but I didn't want to book it for before Christmas as I'd have to tell my 9yr old before then if I had to take her with me to the appointment.
@charliebump3, your daughter sounds like a sweetheart bless her!! Congrats!! I too eventually would like 4kids.Wow welcome to all the new mummies xxx
I am on baby number 4 and my oldest two know! Although when I did tell them my son was over joyed but my daughter cried hysterically! When I asked her why she just said she was worried about my pelvis and because I will need another operation! Bless her.
I have my booking appointment in a week and I will be about 8+2 weeks!
I've been having lots of cramps toda, I am so anxious about this pregnancy I keep getting a horrible feeling something bad is going to happen!
