I just had V day on Friday! The fact that I'm going to be a parent soon has suddenly hit me quite hard. I've almost been expecting something to go wrong (awfully negative, I know) and now that I've made it this far, I can't quite believe it. So many years of responsibility ahead and I've never even managed to live in one place for more than a year because I'm quite a flitty person. It's all very scary and exciting.

I'm off to London today for my sister's 26th birthday celebrations! I'm glad she's opting for a nice civilised lunch thing rather than a night out haha xx

Doom and gloom for me this week - we just had to have the family dog put down (she'd been very poorly with cancer for a while..) She was the loveliest dog and it was conpletely gut wrenching :( Can't believe she's gone xx

Oh no :( So much sad news on here lately...I'm so sorry to hear that KateK, how heartbreaking.

On a happier note...my brother and SIL finally had their gender scan today (due 2 weeks after me) and they're also having a little boy.

Aaawwww Kate! I'm sorry! I know that has to be sooo hard!

Cool Sprout! :)

Ah Kate I'm sorry, can imagine how hard that is xx big hugs xx

Sprout how exciting two boys so close together too :-)

We picked up our new car on Saturday! It's not new new it's second hard but newer than my old one lol & much bigger! So we now have a boot big enough for the double buggy & the dog lol

We are smack bang in the middle of our extension & it's madness, also trying to think of things to do when on May leave, to top up the budget which is rapidly disappearing eek! X

Thanks ladies, it was really, really awful..

That's amazing news Sprout they can be little buddies! So sweet :)

Sarah that sounds horribly stressful but hoorah on the new car!! Is the extension due to be finished before babies/Christmas?! xx

Sorry to hear your news Kate.

Sprout- How lovely that your boy with have a cousin so close in age to him.

How is everyone feeling these days. I'm ok. Really hormonal and moody but I suppose that's to be expected.

Have we got any more gender scans coming up?

Oh, just realised I missed my V Day and also had a blank at how many weeks I was. Must be getting close to the end if I'm forgetting number of weeks. Tri 3 in around 2 weeks. That's crazy.

It's bonkers but the car has made things fun lol! We are hoping so! We hope to be water tight in the next couple of weeks then the priorities will be the bedrooms, bathroom & kitchen & well work on the rest as fast as poss ha ha! X

Princess definitely hormonal my hubby has lovingly nicknamed me tiny tears easoecially last couple of weeks as I can just cry for no reason what so ever ha ha even I don't know why I'm crying sometimes lol this week feels a little better !

Can't believe tri3 is coming! X

I feel like I have sooo much to do to the house and no time. I work full time and it's hard to get anything done with my little boy. It's hard enough keeping on top of house work/laundry ( OK I don't really keep on top of it lol)

When I think that I only ever get a few hours on the weekend when I can sort stuff and husband is home also and little boy isn't running around, and the number of weekends left before Christmas/due date, I start to panic.

Happy V day Princess woohoo! I feel kind of hormonal but other than that I've been feeling pretty good, this trimester has been good to me. :)

Congrats on the new car, that's always exciting too. :)

I dreamed about my baby, has anyone else dreamed about theirs? I dreamed he was about 1 year old and playing in like his playpen thing he was jumping up and down and running and I saw his face in the dream, and he looked just like my dad and my brother because my brother looks just like my dad. So that was cool. :) Me and OH are both left handed too, so I wonder if he'll be a lefty? :)

I get tired so easily now. It's really frustrating because I'm used to a higher activity level. Been to Manchester today for a few hours only and I'm absolutely exhausted. Work is really tiring too. I think as soon as I'm past my qualifying week I'll ask my boss if I can reduce my hours, because I just can't do a full work day anymore.

I have a lot more energy than I did first trimester, but I'm still not back to my normal hyper self. That will happen after I give birth I think. :) After I work 8 hours I'm pretty tired and just want to relax for the rest of the evening then go to bed. I don't need a nap anymore so that's good. So I know how you feel. I go to bed pretty early at like 7:00 pm but I have to get up at like 2:30 am, I have to be at my desk ready to work at 4:30 am. I work 4:30 am to 1:00 pm. :) My lunch is at like 9:00 am. LOL Work was interesting Saturday, got in at 4:30 am and all of the systems were down.  Didn't have to do anything till after first break at 6:45 am and got paid for it. So that was nice. :) And one of my poor coworkers missed it because he forgot his badge at home and the security guard would not let him come through LOL! So he had to go back home to get his badge poor guy.

I can't take the escalators anymore because they make me dizzy. Anyone else experience that? So now if I have to go to the lower level at work I take the elevator only, the stairs are out of the question! LOL Short stairs I can take but not that huge stairway at work! I make sure to park on the 4th level parking garage so I can just walk in on the level of my desk and avoid escalators and elevators altogether. :) I'm off for the next 3 days now woohoo. And tomorrow is my Vday woohoo! I traded off days with a coworker and then scheduled 1 vacation day. So i don't have to go back till Thurday.

As you asked...(whiny post ahead, sorry!!)

I feel a bit rubbish lately. Well, mostly I'm alright in the daytime but by evening my restless legs set in, I start to feel really squashed and full/out of breath, I get heartburn and stomach pains and generally feel irritated and bleh....then I go to bed and wake up about 50 times and take forever to get back to sleep...and I know things are only going to get worse the next three months!

Really trying not to wish this pregnancy away, it'll probably be my last and I know I'll get all nostalgic and miss it one day...I also know how lucky I am to have a healthy pregnancy/be pregnant at all...but it's haaaaaaard when I feel like the enjoyable bit is over now.

OK, enough whining, pregnancy is magical :D
