Remind the sonographer at each scan! Ours was so careful not to say 'him' or 'he' until she'd done all the measurements! And they have to really focus in to see the little willies!

Hi all!!

Just thought I'd mention that I went on a cruise round Greece at 8 weeks - I had to have a doctors letter sent to the company before hand and on me at boarding.

P&O wouldn't let me cruise after 26 weeks its not so much danger but more visa and citizenship concerns of the countries you are visiting.. I had a friend that went over to OZ - found out at 22 weeks she was pregnant after being there a month and they cancelled her visa and she had to come home.

She was great, didn't say a word. Just said when we were done "and is there anything you want to ask me?"
I know she'll be doing all my subsequent scans as well, as it's a small clinic.

Hi everyone, I've been quiet for a few days as I've been away without much wifi. Had my 20 week scan today and everything looked good.

Having a bit of a crappy time with OH. I feel like he's expecting me to do too much and I'm so tired it's seriously pissing me off now. If he thinks it's an effort to get off the sofa and get a glass of water, try doing it with a ton of fluid and two babies attached with shooting pains in your lower back every time you stand up. Argh. Hope the rest of yours are being less useless.

'Fraid not Laura, mine is rubbish and i've given up now.. I'm a bit of a silent soldier and just get on with it.. Years of nagging haven't had much of an effect! I have also been completely washed out this week.. not sure if it's the weather or baby is having a growth spurt but I am seriously struggling and as soon as I stop the whole household stops.. Hope you've had a nice time - where did you go? Glad the scan went well, still counting down the days until mine xx

My client I cared for has asked I don't return being the useless pregnant lady I am (his opinion) so I'm back to having now job and feel shit as a result so bad days all round I guess! xxxxx

Gosh that's really horrid Abi - i'd be devastated if someone said that to me! Shame you can't interview the clients before accepting the job eh.. So are you an agency carer? Aren't you guys in huge demand?! Hope you find a lovely new client soon sweet xx

Yes Kate. Since being made redundant from my lovely office job in June, my partner offered me a job with his company on this package. But now that package don't want me he is struggling to find me work elsewhere as the other packages are pretty full. I applied for a new job a few weeks back but got rejected and was asked to come back once my 'situation had changed' . I've never had such a hard time finding a job than I have done being pregnant. I don't even want a long maternity or anything, just a job to support my family xxxxxx

How rude Abi. Some of my colleagues say I have 'baby brain' in an indulgent way when I forget things but they are lovely, your client is just concerned about himself. Hope you get something better to tide you over.

That seems early Papermoon but is probably fine. Have you got any of the Aps like Ovia or The Bump? They are useful for symptom checking.

Papermoon I think it can start happening from around this stage but like Blueflower said have a little Google & see what it says too

Thanks ladies, he really is a meany looking into doing childminding but I hate the idea of being fully self employed. Might just have to bite the bullet for now & ask CAB for advice.

I haven't leaked yet, but have heard it can start in the early weeks of the twenties. I just have very very dry nips xxxxx

Oh okay cool thanks ladies! Yup I Googled it, it says it's something called colostrum. In What To Expect it said:

Your breasts may start leaking a thin, fluid called colostrum, the precursor to the breast milk that will very soon feed your bundle of joy.

WHAT CAUSES IT
Your pregnant body is making sure all systems are a go, including your milk production system. Colostrum, the first milk your baby will get, contains more protein but less fat and sugar than mature breast milk, making it easier for baby to digest in the first few days after birth. It’s also full of antibodies (immunoglobin A, or IgA) your baby didn’t encounter in the womb which help protect her from germs that can infect the mucus membranes of her throat, lungs and intestines. Several days after you deliver, your breast milk will “come in,” or become whiter and increase in amount.

Goodness I'm achy today lol! Hubby & I have a super King at home & currently looking after his mum and dads while we have our extension done at the same time ! They have a standard double & ive been laying on my left & im nervous as the bed feels so small to lay on my right in case hubby knocks bump or we squish bump in the night so last night was waking up with left hip pain, repositioning and then I have cramp too lol! X
