January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Aw thanks Kate, I hope it's fairly normal. I haven't had thoughts of not having it at all luckily, but a couple of weeks ago the fact that there is a baby in there really hit me. And it kinda sent me over the edge with nerves but seems to be subsiding now, we just want little one here in our arms xxxxx

BlondeP Definitely normal to get regretful and freaked out at times I think. I certainly have anyway. I have found that as the pregnancy has progressed, I'm chilling out a lot more and finally feeling excited and almost ready to go and buy cots and things. My 20 week scan will be when I'm 20+6 so two weeks yesterday, but I had a scan yesterday and all seemed well.

FBTTN8079 that's seriously adorable about your husband talking to the little eggs!!

My partner is being quite cute actually, he's badgered me about doing some pregnancy aquanatal classes at the pool by our house because he's worried about my back. I said not a chance am I getting into a swim suit, but now I've caved and he's calling up to get me booked in and is really happy that I've agreed to haha.

KateK I totally agree - BRING ON AUTUMN! It's too hot!

Anyone else finding their food feels like it's sitting half way up their throat after they've eaten? I want to see if I can take something for it but wouldn't know what to call it lol. Xxxxx

Sounds like reflux BlondeP? Rennies should help, if so.

Try drinking some milk? If it's acid related, it might help..

I don't know if this is what you mean, but when I swallow my food, even if very well chewed and a small mouthful, it can feel like I am swallowing a pine cone as it travels down my throat.

Ah thankyou, yes very acidy in my throat so reflux sounds right. I've grabbed some anti acids so hopefully they will help :)

Hope your all having a nice bank hol xxxxx

Today an older gentleman offered me his seat on a very crowded train. I guess I'm really starting to show!

I'm showing a lot too and the kicks are getting stronger. :) He's got some strong little legs. One of his kicks made my whole body jump a little bit. :)

I don't know if this helps but I used to have the feeling like food was stuck halfway in my throat and like it wouldn't go down. It happened before I got pregnant though and it happened when I started drinking that Almond milk drink stuff. I realized I was allergic to it and the feeling of something in my throat went away after I stopped drinking it. I just stick to drinking real milk now. It was a weird feeling and took me a while to realize it started after drinking that milk drink stuff because the symptom didn't start till after a month of drinking it. Once I stopped drinking it I haven't had that feeling since. Have you started eating or drinking anything new?

Ahh that's lovely Papermoon :) How far along are you? That's great Lisa! It is very sweet when that happens but it did used to make me feel a little uncomfortable!

Ladies, still no bump to speak of yet but I felt baby yesterday!! Wasn't expecting to for several weeks to come with my anterior placenta (still only 17 1/2), and thought it might be my digestion at first but it's definitely little one - felt like a tiny insect tickling me on the inside low down on one side and little bubbles popping! I kept rubbing my tummy to let baby know I was here and he or she kept on moving!

Has absolutely made my bank holiday weekend - such a lovely feeling unlike anything I've ever felt. I guess my placenta must be front and to the side, or baby's just a wriggler!

Just wanted to share :-)

Oh Holdingthumbs, that's so great for you! It's such a fantastic feeling. And like you say it's unlike anything else.

Papermoon, haven't changed eating anything different I don't think :/ had some anti acids and they didn't really help so I think il have to eat even smaller portions now (haven't managed a 'proper sized meal' in months! )

Lovely to see you and Holding Thumbs have felt babies :) xxxx

Oh Holding Thumbs that's just brilliant, i'm thrilled for you! I'm getting so anxious about movements (or lack of..) I just can't get it out of my mind and still 19 long days until the next scan.. I am now certain i've felt the baby a couple of times but I just wish it were more regular to put my mind at ease! Cannot wait to see baby again.. xx

Thanks KateK, I'll be 19 weeks the day after tomorrow, Tesday. :)

That's good to hear Holdingthumbs!

What sort of pregnancy pillow do you have? I keep shifting at night and get very uncomfortable, a normal pillow is better than nothing but not the right shape. My tummy feels so tight especially after eating, I don't think the muscles like being stretched! And my ribcage hurts sometimes too, apparently our lungs are getting bigger too! Gaviscon tablets have really helped me with the acid reflux.

I'm still only getting tickles, no actual kicks yet!

Blueflower, I feel the same. It's like it's not stretching as much as it should. It really feels too crowded in there, no room for anything. I got a double pillow, but I'm not really using it as gets way to warm.

I don't have a pregnancy pillow, I sleep on my side with a pillow between my knees. I try not to lay on my back. :nap:

Blue flower I have a tube pillow. 4'6" long thing that I can just manipulate around me however I like :) it's really helped to settle me recently as even though bump isn't big, it really pulls on my back if I sleep with it unsupported. Xxxxx
