January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

Oh Laura :( i'm in the crap boat too today, just feeling really down.. Hope you feel better after breakfast and a nap!

Have they done your risk assessment at work yet Lisa? They should be getting you a better chair if it isn't supportive enough! My pregnant colleague got a super swanky padded thing shipped in after she said her back/neck were hurting! Hear you on the docs front too - I don't think any GPs have a decent system in place, try as they might..

Back from our 20 week scan both twinnies looking lovely, all measuring as they should be etc. Twin 1 placenta still low and covering internal os ! I googled and I think I should stay away lol but would explain the spotting etc that I've had! Just hoping that it at least shifts slightly over the next couple of weeks & I'll continue with pelvic rest and taking it easy ! X

Here's a little foot from today X

Great to hear twinnies are ok! Yes I have heard if the placenta is covering the 'exit' then spotting, even bleeding is very common. That's why they were so surprised to find mine wasn't! Xxx

It might very well be the neck. The chair I have at work doesn't give great support. I do have a wheat pillow, but usually avoid using it on the neck because of the weight, but maybe I could find a position where it's comfortable.
Right now I'm trying to get through to my GP and it won't even connect. Grrr... I really don't like the system of making almost every appointment an emergency one. Having to spend half an hour on the phone to be seen every time is seriously annoying.

Does your surgery have Systemonline? It's so much easier, you just log in to see which doctors are free and choose a time. No hanging on the phone trying to get through at 8am.

Glad all is good with the twins Sarah that's fantastic news :) Love the foot shot - adorabe! xx

I've had the odd one or two headaches in first Tri but today all afternoon and now my head is absolute pounding :( taken a cocodymol just so I can try sleep so hope it works. Almost feel on the verge of a migraine which I haven't had in years ! I get how you feel now Lisa! xxxx

Sad to see you've taken a bit of a u turn with sickness Laura! Hope the rest and decent breakfast has helped ease it xxxx

Aww Sarah lovely photo and news. My 20 week scan is tomorrow, so excited. Finding it really weird that we still wouldn't have known the gender yet though if we'd have found out then, feels like I've known forever!

Has anyone else picked a name yet? We're definite now, not telling anyone until the birth though. Last time there were just too many opinions and suggestions and I also like having something to ourselves.

Drama queen rant alert..

Ughhh I'm sooo tired and feel like crap today. I have woken at 3-4am two nights in a row now and been unable to sleep again. Also I was pretty badly sick again last night so I feel really weak this morning and everything feels sore. desperately trying to get a bit more sleep, pleaasee send sleep vibes my way

Aaawww hope you feel better. I felt really tired today even though i had 6 ours of sleep last night. I could hardly keep my eyes open at work.:nap: At one point I had to stand at my desk for a while just to stay awake. And I felt moody like in a bad mood too. I'll go like 2 or 3 days and feel fine, then have a day where I'm dog tired no matter how much sleep I got the night before and where I feel moody and sometimes nauseous. Then for the next 3 days I'll feel fine then have a day like that again. LOL

Thanks for the support everyone. I already had my risk assessment, but actually got a second one yesterday. Did get a new chair, but honestly not sure it's better. My employer doesn't want to spend money on individuals as far as I can tell. Everyone has the same chair, desk, wrist support etc. Cheap way to claim it's an ergonomic office. I'm sure it helps prevent problems for those who have none, but it isn't very flexible.

Blueflower, my GP does have an online system, but only for appointments for next week or so, and that usually only have a few available at a time, so I've honestly given up using it.

Adorable! And glad to hear they're both well. Hope the placenta moves.

I've got a few names I like Sprout but i've shared a few and got shot down! I really like the more quirky traditional names, if that makes sense? Names from an age ago but that were less common :) Things like Mabel for a girl and Stanley for a boy.. Really struggling to compromise with my other half!

We are wanting a fairly traditional name that can be shortened. Both of us have that (Abigail - Abi) but also trying to get a couple of family names in there. I was sad to see a celebrity has just had a baby and used our fave girls name :/ so I hope it won't become too popular! xxxxx

Ahh what is it Abi?! Spill!! When is your 20 week scan by the way sweet? xx

Penny (Penelope) !! :( it's the one name we have both gone 'Ooo yes!' at! It's next Saturday :D can't wait to find out what we are having xxxxx

We're going to give both of them one Swedish name and one English, so they can chose when they get older. I also want to try to make sure both names can be pronounced in both languages.
I like older Scandinavian names so want to pair with similar English ones.

20 week scan went well, everything's looking perfect and he's still a boy! He's very cute, if I do say so myself :)

I was so surprised to find out that the placenta's at the front though, I've had pretty strong movements from about 16 weeks...I guess it might explain why I've thought he's been lazy compared to his sister though!
