January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

I am trying to enjoy the calm before the storm with movements. I feel like we're all going to get kicked to death before long!

Laura thanks for the tip about bamboo, will definitely check carefully.

Holdingthumbs, don't worry sweetie. I haven't bought a single thing yet. My mum's knitted two cardigans, but that's the whole extent of our baby clothing stash. And my bump is tiny, especially for twins.

I'm feeling a little movement, mostly from IP (twin 2, we called it VIP before knowing it was twins, bf have therefore suggested they are now VI and IP) but not regularly by any means. It's the strangest feeling though.

How's everyone's day been?

I've been on a cleaning mission which has been fun haha. But also found out One of my pregnant friends has been cheated on. My heart has actually broken for her! :(

Just want my OH home now for a big cuddle & to remind me how thankful I am xxxxx

Omg That's awful your poor friend ! What an a*sehole!! That's terrible ! X

We've had a nice day today took my nephews & Neice to see the bfg which was great & my mum who is a retired midwife had been trying to Find her old trumpet but couldn't & ended up buying a doplar so she had a listen to the heartbeats ! We've agreed she'll keep it at hers, she's more skilled to use it & I'll just have a listen in every now and again :-) X

Yeah and apparently this is the second time! :(

Aw how lovely oh your mum. I so want to see the BFG, I'm such a big kid xxxxx

Wtf that's shocking! Some people are just low life are they ! Your poor friend !
I know bless her she was so excited X
Ah you should go and see it it's fab, I can't wait to renwatch all the Disney movies with the bubbas X

Your poor friend - what a total scumbag.

I had a really lazy day. I basically stayed in bed with the cat (between kitchen trips) until 6pm :O I have been exhausted and not sleeping well for a few days, and finally managed a nap. Feeling much better now and just nipped out to the shop down the road for some vanilla Häagen-Dazs :D

Mmm I've got some clotted cream ice cream with peaches awaiting us for pudding tonight :P

How have you found searching for a job if you don't mind me asking Laura? I have an interview next week and panicking because it's working with a poorly little one which I really want to do, so I'm not going to tell them I'm expecting at the interview. But if I get the job I will have to and just feel that's deceiving them from the word go :/ xxxx

We decided that I'd just take very early stay at home mum status in the end. Sickness is still here a little, and it was bad enough that I was in bed most of the time up until about 10 days ago. I also have like 2/3 appointments every two weeks, which I think would be a lot to ask of a new employer. I would like to stay at home for about a year after they are born too, so I don't really want the pressure of a new job to return to quickly.

Hope your interview goes well!

Aww that sounds ideal for you Laura, especially after all the bad sickness you have had :) concentrate on brewing some good ones as my mum keeps telling me haha. Thankyou!

xxxxx

Yeah I really take my hat off to those that work right through - really think it's amazing.

Haha "brew some good ones"! Your mum sounds hilarious!

Have just seen this car seat on kiddiecare site, it seems like a really good price but then makes me wonder why? It's got really good reviews ?

Oh my goodness Abi that's awful :( Poor, poor girl.. What a dick..

I don't think the price would put me off Sarah especially as the reviews are good, if they're safe and they do what they need to do then go for it! Plus Kiddicare is a very well-known brand.. I think we get our pants pulled down a bit as parents - anything mother and baby related is instantly more expensive. Need to take a bargain when we can! It's probably just a no-frills design and the material quality you're compromising on as opposed to anything important x

Yes Laura my mum does come out with some funnys :')

I'd go for it sarah, as Kate said kiddicare is a big brand and I doubt would fault on safety etc.

I agree also that parents to be are massively ripped off with prices! We Alsace some beautiful mamas and papas nursery sets but the prices were in the thousands! Opted for IKEA and the quality is great and sturdy enough for me to sit on and more than half the price! xxxxx

Oh Abi, how awful for your friend. I do hope they will be able to work through things before the baby arrives.

So, my sickness appear to be returning. Threw up a little just after getting out of bed now, and it's been pretty much every morning this week. And in the middle of the night at one point. At this point I guess I just somehow have to soldier through it. It sucks that I really can't take time off from work though, we're really busy training two new starters and as our team leader is also pregnant and will be leaving in a month or so, she and her replacement are busy training together. So a lot of the time we're just three people out of a team of seven.
Not much done this weekend, I need the rest. Going to try to drag bf off to look at prams today, because I just feel I need to see them in reality, looking online isn't enough to give a picture.

Thanks girls that's what I was thinking & they have to pass safety standards before even going on sale ! They do seem to love a giant price don't they as they know there are things we will need to buy!! I've had a look at cotbeds on Tesco direct and they are fab prices with great reviews & a fraction of the price of mammas and Pappas! I know M&P are good quality as my sisters kiddies cotbeds have lasted them 9 years but we just can't afford a cotbed at £500 plus each & Tesco direct have some lovely ones for around £100-150. X

Check out Ikea as well, they have a big selection of cheaper cot beds. And ASDA just started their baby and toddler event so lots of discounts. My local store doesn't appear to be participating, but it runs online too.

Your poor friend BlondeP, do you think she should stay with him?

We looked at prams again today but no side by side twin ones, will have to ring up some stores first so we don’t have a wasted journey. Didn't know where to start with car seats so will check out Kiddicare, thanks Sarah!

I got a bargain today, went back to buy some maternity jeans I saw and they had £9 off then DH found a long pair in the style I usually wear (but with a big band!) for only £10 in the sale!

If I'm honest, I really hope she doesn't . I haven't been a fan of him from the start (only been together since December) she would be happier without him and his stress but is desperate for a fairytale none broken home ending for her and baby. I feel for her so much :( I can't imagine being out in such a horrible situation.

I drove 40 miles to a mother are once to find they didn't have a full range of prams so defo learnt my lesson haha!

The cybex car seat we are getting can extend into a carry cot like thing so if you are round friends etc and just have that for baby to sleep in while you're there it won't damage their backs. Also has side crash bumpers which for paranoid me is amazing!

Nice one with the jeans! I'm still wearing my faves with elastic bands haha! I've been told by oh to give in and stop but they are the best pair ever :( haha xxxxx
