Hello!

OK so I might be a few days early, as I'm 26 weeks but some apps/websites say I'm 26 weeks gone and into my 27th week, so I decided I'd sneak over to the 3rd Trimester page!

Would be lovely to get a talkative little thread going for all of us with due dates in January, like we've had in the 1st Trimester and 2nd Trimester boards! Especially as this is 'the final' countdown as such to our due dates :)

Anyone else finding it surreal? I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone! :0

Happy to add in everyone's due dates below as and when they join the thread, so just make sure to let me know what yours is and I'll get that added in!

SAHF - Due Jan 12th - Team Yellow
Tilliewoo - Due Jan 1st - Team Blue
Beanie5 - Due Jan 5th - Team Pink
Lols82 - Due Jan 16th - Team
Glr1234 - Due Jan 18th - Team Blue
GemmGirl - Due Jan 10th - Team Yellow
Kellylou - Due Jan 22nd - Team Pink
TeeggieBeeggie - Due Jan 20th - Team Blue
Hello1231 - Due Jan 28th - Team

Jan 1st - Team Blue.

Still in shock I'm in tri 3. Hope it goes as quick as tri 2.
Handed in my maternity notice today. Struggling with a full time job. Upper back in agony from sitting all day and sickness is back with a vengeance. But...excited to be going through it all.

Oohh when do you start maternity leave? I've finally had mine finalised today, the dates I start/return plus my pay. So glad it's finally sorted as I told them at 21 weeks and it took them 5 weeks to get back to me.

I've not been too bad symptoms wise this pregnancy, but I do get terrible pains in my left shoulder. I think it's because I used to always sleep on my right side and I am sleeping more on my left now as that's the side it's advised to sleep on.

Can't wait for baby to arrive though :)

me woo tri 3! yay :D due 8th Jan
not very prepared yet but I've got a couple of exams in 2 weeks so as soon as they're over it's going to be baby prep all the way :) start antenatal on Monday and had a mothercare event evening this week which was pretty good so not feeling quite as stressed about being clueless about everything
also only 10 weeks of work left today :D

Added you in Beanie! Do you want me to add team blue/pink/yellow for you?

We're on the way to having everything ready before Christmas, except for painting the nursery, which is what I wanted so that we can enjoy our last Christmas and NYE as a 2 :)

I went to a Mothercare Expectant Parent Event this week and although we got some helpful information, it wasn't what I expected at all. It was far less formal and there were no talks, just a 'walk around the store and buy things from us' kind of thing. What was yours like?

I'm starting my leave on Jan 3rd, just 9 days before we're due, so still have ages to go yet!

I am actually going to finish up Oct 23rd. I have holidays to take, my other kids are off for a week over halloween, so will give me time to get xmas sorted too. I can't wait now...Fell like the end is in sight.

team pink for me please :)

our evening was quite organised, they had three groups and three talks (car seats/ pushchairs & sleep safety) and put up set times for each group to go to each one. the car seats one was quite good as they talked about new legislation coming in in 2018 where baby will have to be rear facing until 5 (I think.. don't quote me!) and so if you're wanting a long term investment for potentially more children the 2 way or only rear facing bases will be more practical. the sleep safety was good too, the lady who took us also had children and advised us against certain things (cot bumpers) and some more practical things like washable mattress tops etc. the pram bit was a bit pants, a quick sell on one of the most popular but did show some practical bits of how to change things on travel systems. overall got a better idea of what we need/what we want but I was disappointed that they didn't have any first aid talks - think they'd said on the website that these were subject to which store you were at

wow Tillie 23rd Oct! not long to go now :)

I wish our Mothercare event had been more structured like that! We got the information we needed if we went up to staff and asked them questions, but there were no specific talks, no set times for anything, we were just left to our own devices. We could have got all the information we did get, just by going in store on a normal day and doing a shop!

Will be putting the 10% off voucher to good use today though!

Hi ladies. I'm 26wks tomorrow with my twins, I haven't been around on here much during tri 2 as I've moved house and had a poorly little dude. Hope you will all still have me on here :) xx

Just had my 28 week midwife appointment today.
1st time they measured the uterus and is 2 weeks ahead of what it should be.
I see the consultant again mid Nov and then will just see the midwife once more before baba arrives.. it's all getting very real now xx

I'm only a few days ahead of you, are your twins identical? x

I had my 28 week app today too and I'm measuring at 24cm instead of 28cm, also baby is breech with her head right up by my ribs. She wasn't too worried and said it should even out at the next appointment at 31 weeks. I also got booked in for my flu and whooping jabs for next Tuesday, dreading it because last time my arm as dead for a few days- hurt like hell and I couldn't even lift my arm up - and now iv got to have 1 In each arm ... Ouch !!!

Xx

My little man was breech at my last appointment.
You get seen again at 31 weeks....That's me now until 36 weeks.
I am in tomorrow with my GP for my jabs, don't mind needles but hate the feeling of injections.

LOLS82

I don't know yet. Even though they have seperate placentas 1/3 of all DCDA twins are identical, so as I'm team yellow I dnt know !!!

I have my 28 week appointment next week and hoping to get the info for the Whooping Cough jab and get that booked in! You've made me nervous about it now haha! Had my flu jab a few weeks back at Boots because my GP couldn't get me an appointment until the end of October. Yet I have been poorly the past week with a stinking cold, I was hoping it'd help fend of colds, too!

I have my GTT test this Thursday, I am dreading it. Mainly because I'm worried how tired I'll be going first thing in the morning, spending hours not being able to eat or drink, having blood tests and checks, then having to work until 8pm - I have a feeling it's going to leave me feeling quite sick! :(

I'm aswell posting here now huh?

Just home from y 2 week check up, babies all fine, one is up to 2lb8 and the other was harder to measure due to how he was lying. I'm getting booked in the week before Christmas for my Section. I'm also home with those unattractive stockings to wear and I have to keep my legs elevated when possible. Also to go for my flu jag asap and my whooping cough one at 28 weeks. All go.

What's your due date/team info Lols and I'll add it to the top post! :)

I had to have my flu gap at Boots, GP couldn't give me one til the end of October (tried booking it beginning of September!), but it was fairly quick and pretty painless tbh :) Felt a little rough the next day but not as bad as I was expecting. Friends had told me it made them feel rough for days!

So exciting that you'll have two newborns at Christmas :) Our baby will be nearly 1 come their first Christmas!

Oh I'm JANUARY 16th my official date. I know best Christmas present ever :)

Im due January 14th!

Its our first baby and was actually a huge surprise but I know how you’re all feeling when it comes to not being prepared! Im still working full time and in my final year of university so not only is finding money for everything but time too!

But I’m super excited to meet my baby girl!

I've popped your details in Lols!

If anyone else wants their info added for due date and team, just leave a comment with yours and I'll add it in!

I am really, really sick of this cold now. I've had a cold since last Thursday and it's getting absolutely unbearable. I can't sleep at night because I can't breathe properly and I'm struggling to swallow. It got so frustrating last night I burst into tears! Probably not helped by pregnancy hormones but definitely mainly down to me just not being able to sleep and getting so frustrated.

I've been drinking hot honey and lemon water like there's no tomorrow, it's not helping. I've had to up my inhalers as well because I'm finding myself breathless a lot of the time.

Any tips? :(
