****** January 2015 mummy's to be ******

Can't believe it's Monday already!

My little one has decided that 5.30am is his new wake up time (3 days in a row now) :wall2: :wall2:

I get up at 6.30am on weekdays anyway BUT losing that extra hour is hideous.

Feeling OK, just had a yoghurt and its the first time I have been able to stomach one for weeks.

Scan on Thursday evening, eeeekkkkk !!

Hello my lovelies!

Just caught up on everybody's posts. Glad to see we're all okay!

I am still really picky on my food but I am managing to eat a bit more which is helping with my sickness.

I am feeling very travel sick when being a passenger in the car though! Boooo!

Had a dream i had a little girl last night. Was well chuffed lol!

Hi all. I phoned the epu this morning about my spotting and they advised I call doctor. He has asked I come in this afternoon for him to feel my stomach. He said they will only refer you for a scan if the blessing or cramping is worse than a period, which it isn't.

I am so acres now I've has that spotting. I think my symptoms have gone too. Don't feel nauseous really and the nipple soreness is gone.

I know it must be really scary Princess but spotting is so very common.

Try to keep positive.

Do you have a private early scan booked? Maybe that will help you relax a little?

Try not to worry princess! My boobs are not sore any more and I bled an awful lot with DD xx

Thanks both. Yes I have a private scan booked for 17th June when I will be 8 and a half weeks. Still have 2 weeks to wait for that though. I've been to see GP who felt my stomach to check for tenderness as a result of an ectopic. He said there doesn't seem to be any.

He told me to rest for 48 hours and not go to work. I haven't told work yet so I'm scared to take 2 days off cos I'll have to tell them. They are not even expecting me to be trying! Plus my colleagues is off from tomorrow on 2 weeka annual leave so it means my other colleague will be in work on her own x

I hope the rest and having been reassured by the GP help princess, it's so difficult not to panic if something starts, or something else stops! My barely anything symptoms are fading too, I'm trying not to panic but it's hard not to xx

Symptoms do come and go all the time in the first weeks. I am surprised they won't scan you for the spotting, even if it's just to put your mind at rest. If you get more spotting I'd bother them some more.

I would definitely bother them some more, I cant believe they didnt give u a scan to put your mind at rest.

Carnat- I keep waking up super early too and I also havent been able to eat yoghurt! Haha. I had my first one yesterday coz I actually fancied having one n it was ok.

Today is the first day that ive woke up feeling sick. I kinda thought id maybe got away with not having morning sickness but guess not. I dont mind having symptoms though coz at least it means something is happening :)

Have had a nightmare day already - and it's not even 9am!

Raining and I forgot my brolly, thought I'd be organised and get my lunch for a few days on route to work but M&S has changed it's opening hours so it was shut , got on a bust that took me round the house so got to work late despite me leaving earlier than normal.

Also poor James is really suffering with his teeth so we were up a lot in the night. He had a temperature so OH is off with him today

I am done in and pissed off already

On the upside baby is now a blueberry - awwwww!

That doesnt sound like a good start to the day but yippee to baby blueberry!!! Haha.

Hi all. As I've said I have a private scan booked for 8 and a half weeks. Will that be an external one or internal. Are they likely to be able to see a heartbeat at that stage?

They'll try it externally first, you may need to drink a litre of water beforehand.

Yes you should 100% see a HB at 8.5 weeks.

Exciting.

I have mine in 2 days - eeekkk!

I assume it's safe in pregnancy though?

The website I looked at suggested there is a small risk to the foetus (not that I'm even at foetus stage yet) and recommended finding alternative ways if pregnant. Am sat in reception for nuclear medicines and there are several signs (including one with a large pic of an unborn child) telling pregnant women to advise staff if they are pregnant.

THe x-ray I had on friday was bad enough, and that had a lead apron!

Don't let them do anything you aren't comfortable with.

Any idea why they have opted for this as not the 24h monitor?
