It's definitely true. If he still doesn't believe, refer him to this:

Once you see all those files being deleted and how much faster your computer works as result, you realise quite how much is still on there. Pretty much nothing you delete is actually deleted unless you use a program like this.

I don't think it was deliberate, he reckons he warned me to move all my photo's out of that file because he was going to delete it but he didnt

Either way, he should have checked. Then he could have either moved them himself (and then told you where they were) or asked you to do it at that moment before he fouled things up. Sometimes I'm very glad my fella's a cautionary sort. (Most of the time it drives me up the wall, though!)

I know he's atill in the sh*t as far as I'm concerned. My OH is far from cautious

Thanks hun. Might have to get myself a copy of that. My machines over 5 years old and is as slow as a hedgehog! I dread to think how much stuff has been 'saved' by microsoft.

im also going to try that cleanUp! thing. my system has got alot slower lately. and it annoys me lol.

might hook my laptop up to the net at some point too, and use it on that. as that thing couldnt get any slower if it tried
