Im baaaaaack!

Hehe no donna , there doesn’t, no harm! Think I will start once I stop the pill! So end of this month!
Very proud of my DD as we’ve been potty training the past couple of days and she’s done so well. Just got to see how granny and grandad get on tomorrow and then nursery the following 2 days! X

Yeh there's no point in stopping now Donna! Apparently we always run low on folate over here anyway, so you're probably doing yourself some good in the process ;)

Ah she's a clever girlie Ellie! My son is still not remotely dry at night at 6  but he was so quick to potty train in the day. He's such a heavy sleeper he literally doesn't wake for it.

Yeah, not even going anywhere near night time, she wakes up soaking, even in naps! Bless him though, must be hard for you all.

Oh bless him, he'll get there. I think most struggle with night times - its one thing knowing when you need it when you're awake but for your body to wake you up to tell you is another thing entirely

Hi ladies, just catching up with all the chit chat:-) It's so nice to see this section active again. A few weeks back a group moved over to ttc so it was very quiet. I'll probably start the FA and vit D in March too. eek that's next month! it's all becoming so real!

Ellie, did your 'Friend' reply?? Well done to your daughter potty training already!

I know i've said it before but i really admire midwives. I would love to do it but i couldn't face the bereavement side of it. I'd be a wreck! princess, do they give you training on how to deal with the family and put your own emotions aside?
x

Yes we do get training as standard, and with me being in the police before I had some past experience with bereavement. There are specialist bereavement midwives who get extensive training on supporting bereaved families or families where we know the baby has a condition that is not compatible with life.
My friend that i trained with really wants to specialise in it, but it's not for me personally.

Its nice to see some activity in this area, its normally the quiet one

Yeah I've been enjoying the activity on here too :) When I've been on in the past it's been a very quiet part of the forum.

How are we all doing?

I'm really packed up with work at the moment now - loads to do for work and also loads for university. I'm sure I'll get through it all eventually but it's pretty heavy going right now.

I’m on annual leave til 19th Feb.
I’ve sent out wedding invites today, touched base with the florist. Spoke to my photographer friend, and narrowed down my lease car options. Oh and went out for a cuppa with my mum, which is always a bit strained but that’s a whole other story for another day!

I feel for you Donna, it’s so hard trying to balance uni and work, I’m so glad it’s over for me!!

Yes baby maker, she did respond said she didn’t think to invite me with being on holiday and only invited 3 people from work when about 7 were invited. She apologised and said we should meet up soon, don’t know if I want to now, don’t need that shit in my life.

I’ve had a crazy evening after work, my SIL and her family have come down from Newcastle upon Tyne and they have a 7month old and a 3year old. The 3yo is about the same height as Aria and they were playing so rough haha, Aria can handle it (they were smothering each other with pillows:shock::shock:) he did push her now and again but it didn’t bother me as it wasn’t hard but he was obviously told off by others, they went crazy though running around this little house haha was great to see them though, first time I’ve met the younger one

How are you doing Donna? X

I'm good thanks; just tired. Been quite productive this evening though; marked a set of tests and books, done a little uni work (probably not enough but some is better than none) and looked at my lessons for after half term. I'm glad I've got a week off coming up because I'm going to have to spend it catching up on assignments for uni

That all seems very odd; you're right do you really need that in your life. Maybe just meet up with her if it doesn't mean you going out of your way

I have a busy weekend planned, off out with the work lot to celebrate half term and then we have a gig on Saturday. Can't believe it's only Wednesday though

Nah not going out of my way, she’s coming round mine on Tuesday, easier for me and not having to pin down Aria and I don’t have to make the effort to go out haha!

It’s my hump day tomorrow, today was my Monday, I know lazy only working 3days a week, but I love it.

Bet the 6 weeks holiday is nice (I know you don’t get the whole 6 weeks)

Hey I’m only going to be working 3 days per week from 11 March :yay: allows for more Mummy time

Jealous, I wish I could cut down to 3 days a week

Definitely, love my time with my lil girl.

How are we all doing?

We've been having more discussions about when we should start trying. We're not sure whether to hold off until after my July period now as then I wouldn't be pregnant on the cruise (potentially could get pregnant on the cruise though) for a number of reasons; it would avoid having to tell my mum and her partner ridiculously early (as they're going on the cruise with us) and also if something horrible were to happen such as bleeding early on I wouldn't be stuck on a boat without proper medical care.

It kind of makes a lot of sense but then at the same time; I don't know if we'll be able to hold back after May - waiting until July would also mean I would be 6 months at the most for my brothers wedding as opposed to 8 months - it's just so hard to keep talking about putting trying back again and again even when it does seem to make sense

I can understand your reasoning, I know it will be hard but if that is what feels right then wait that little longer. Nothing worse then putting back something you’re looking forward too but like you said, it makes sense. Maybe NTNP for a couple of cycles? (May-July)

I feel like crap today, here I am moaning again, got my husband back and all I’ve done is bite his head off all day, poor man! Got so much going on in my head, it’s pounding.

Hope you’ve all had lovely weekends x

I think that's probably what we'll end up doing, it would make sense to not be pregnant on the cruise for other reasons too - l mean I'd only be early on so could be suffering with morning sickness, not sure how well that would go with potential sea sickness too! I also wouldn't know whether to take maternity clothes or normal clothes. But yeah NTNP is probably what will happen for the first couple of cycles then we can go for it on and after the cruise.

I was like that last week, I even apologised to him at one point and he said it was okay - but that made me feel worse as I knew it wasn't okay.

My weekend has been lovely, work night out on Friday and then we went to a gig last night and it was amazing.

Glad you’ve had a nice weekend, can’t believe it’s snowing here again, going to have to go into work early as can’t push a pushchair in it

I unloaded a bunch of stuff to him and he said were together to work together not apart and said how he’ll help with what on my mind but I can’t stress about everything as I can’t control everything. Also said I want a lie in and he said to wake him up when Aria wakes :wall2: I won’t be able to go back to sleep! Ah well.

Morning sickness on a boat  no thanks! Don’t blame you at all!

Haha - I mean the thought is there but yeah if you're up enough to wake him up then you're pretty much up. We haven't had anymore snow, but I am so ready for Spring now - I just want to wear my nice clothes I don't want to keep wrapping up anymore.

I'm on half term now but got no nice plans really, just catching up on university work and making sure I've got all my school work done for when we're back next Monday. Fun times.

I am going to meet our friends baby on Saturday though :) which is exciting and then it's my husbands Birthday on Sunday
