How are all you new mummies doing?

Not just me then! Everyone was commenting saying, amazing idea and I was sooo close but couldn't be bothered worth a war at 1130! Haha. S is just getting up too, the past week she is waking up about 5 and we are settling her back down with her sheep. Can't really complain but wish she would stop!

Have fun at baby massage Stacey, we really enjoyed it.

Haha Bex, you will need to get Oscar a side kick outfit just for the photo!lol

Jen, you had the same day as me yesterday. Weigh in, next sale :-)

Well we are now day 4 with Emma being constipated. Thought she was going yesterday, changed her nappy and there was a tiny marble there. Poor thing. Need this sorted before we go away.

Aw poor Emma, have you tried massage for it? I'ts the only thing that helps S!

Don't start me off about bf I'm fed up of smug bf mummies who think the ladies that don't or find it hard n have to give up are better than us plenty of ppl I no like to make me feel like shit about it! XxZ

I don't know how to do proper baby massage, but I did give her tummy and lower back a rub. Her tummy is so hard. And did the whole legs up. Sudocreme on her bottom cause that normally works. Still nothing.

Ignoring the word free in the sign, don't you think it's brilliant? I do & I bf for 24 hours! The signs making it clear that mummies can bf in their establishment. This will probably keep the nasty judgmental customers away meaning bf mums won't have to feel anxious at all about feeding in there. I know this was one of my concerns if I was able to bf

I didnt give a flying pig what people thought when I breast fed, I did it in the middle of a busy pub at lunchtime lol

Nat- most people queue for 6am to get the bargains :wall2:

I know what you mean but It would be even better if it was a sanctuary for feeding mums full stop I think.

You tube the 'I love you' massage toria, that's what I do on S

This is it toria, but I got shown to do it in small circular motions but don't suppose it matters http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-RaMv4smzO4.

Yeah 6 nat, I've got the numbers to order online first thing sat or just hope that they are in store. My friends have accounts and checked the baby stuff online for me but there wasn't a lot. Hopefully there's loads more In store cos I give that's just the warehouse stuff online x

Of course it would be but I never go anywhere & think I hope people don't complain that I'm bottle feeding my baby. I hope they don't ask me to leave etc

I think that is a lovely thing for BF mummies but I do get annoyed that I have to buy a coffee or whatever just so i can sit down to give Joseph his bottle. It is a step in the right direction but why just BF mummies why not all mummies who need to feed their child x

Luke scares the crap out of me this morning!!

Woke at 6 so I went in and put his dummy in and lightship on - I fell asleep again and next thing I know hubby pokes me in the side and says he thinks we should get up as it's 10:00! So I ran three ugh to likes room - he's never slept that long before and he was jiat staring at the swilling with his mouth open! I ran over and puty hand on him and he laughed for a good 2-3 minutes.

I'm sure its not a slight on bottle feeding mums, but more likely intended to encourage/reassure breastfeeding mums that they are also welcome. Lots of people are worried/embarrassed about public feeds and would like knowing there was a safe and welcoming place to go. And obviously as a breastfeeding mum I wouldn't turn down a free cup of tea ;-)

I agree with you are saying Maud but I feel that it should be more worded all mummys are welcome. :) x

Precisely! I'm sure if you went in for a bottle feed they'd probably offer the same courtesy. It's just advertising that it's a place bf is welcomed...and look at the publicity they've gotten for it!

I think the point is like people said, some bf mums might rush their trip out to get home to feed as they are worried about finding somewhere they won't get hassle from some narrow minded idiot. Bottle mums don't have that worry. It's not about excluding bottle mums

Yes but why offer a free drink to bf mums and not bottle feeding mums?

You could clearly advertise breast feeding mums welcome without needing to offer a free drink and therefore exclude bottle feeding. Likewise a lot of bf mums express anyway.

I would personally not go into a place like this out of principle that me buying something is supplementing someone else's drink.
