How are all you new mummies doing?

Ok ladies, so do you put tap water direct into your perfect prep machine? I put cooled boiled water in.

24 in Macie's room she's sweating bless her :-( still keeps waking up! My pp ok but the kitchen is the coolest place as next doors extension blocks out try sunlight xxxx

Instructions say tap water so I've always put tap water in?

It's 20 in our room but we have air con which is a life saver

When Oscar is hot he wakes loads

Try nappy only ??

Maddie's in bed in just a vest, but her room is 26 at the minute! I had her in her grobag but she was sweating and wouldn't settle so took her out of it and she's gone off happily now.

Jealous of your local lido bex that looks great! We're settling for a paddling pool in the garden tomorrow lol

26 in a grow bag ? No wonder she was sweating lol! I think 1 tog is 24 degree maximum

Glad she's settled off !

Yeah I read tap water too but couldn't figure out how the machine would sterilise it. That would be so much easier.

Lol only a light one with no vest - Tried nappy only in a 0.5 tog cos she doesn't sleep very well without a bag but she was too hot so vest it is but I know I'll be up resettling her tonight now! I think she likes the security of the bag??

24 in our room so i've put thomas in a vest and sleepsuit, tried a blanket last night and he kept pulling it up to his head and then off his body and waking up so thought this was a better option.

He likes being warmer i think he'd wake if i put him in less

Exactly the same here but we only have 1.5tog bags so i'm stuck with a couple of layers rather than nothing and a bag.

Can babies have bad dreams? Luke woke up looking terrified! Not wet, not hungry, bit too hot- just screaming and terrified! Took an hour to calm him

Not a good night. She woke at 2.30am, had a quick feed and decided it was playtime again. We tried leaving her in her crib but she wasn't happy with that. It was 4.15am by the time she went back to sleep!

Fortunately the thunder storm didn't disturb her. We didn't need to put her dream sheep on with all the rain, but a few mins after she went down there was an almighty crack that sounded like lightning must've struck something near us. Was expecting her to start crying but she didn't even stir. Stopped us getting back to sleep for a while longer though.

Feel like a zombie today. Really don't miss the newborn sleep pattern!

I'm hoping it's just this heat throwing her out of sorts. Her naps and feeds were all over the place yesterday. Will try to keep her routine a bit more today as am only planning on going out once. If I can get myself showered before she wakes again (thank goodness she went down again after her 6.30am feed!) I might try and go first thing before the day heats up too much.

Aw no maud, that's crap! Defo some napping for you today!

I'm pretty sure S was having a bad dream last week when we heard her crying at 2.30, went through and she was crying in her sleep :-(

What a night with all the thunderstorms, we have been awake on and off since 1.30am!! Urghhhh
