How are all you new mummies doing?

Aw kaedin that's rubbish! He's obviously not coping with the life changes that have to happen when you have a baby, and in the process leaving it all to you. If you were such a crap mum you certainly wouldn't be there 24/7 for her like you are! I hope there's a way that you can make him see sense! :-( x

Pumpkin, Thomas would almost certainly be put in the spare room with him and leave him to it! Or what I do is say, right I done it last night so it's your turn tonight and tomorrow morning!! You need a break too x x

I'm so sorry that. I agree with dizzybaby you are a fab mum and don't let anyone say otherwise. Hopefully he will see sense and grow up. Some men don't seem to realise that having a child changes everything. They stop being number one. Maybe him not being around will give him time to think what an idiot he is being and will bring him round (if you want him back will be another matter). Big hugs xxx

Kathryn I would have killed him. My husband is off work tomorrow. I still expect him to get up with our LO as I don't get a lie in either. Do they forget we as mummies have a 24/7 job with our LO's and don't get a chance to have time off (even if it is to go to work). xxx

I mean hubby lets me lie in about once a week but usually were both up by 8.

8 would be a lie in for us! Our little one wakes up between 6-6.30am most mornings, so that's when we get up. OH gets up at 6am anyway during the week so it's not such a hardship. He does miss our pre-baby weekend lie- ins though (as do I!).

My OH had the cheek to say he works full time, and I have 7 days off. He must think hayley sleeps all day, doesn't need fed, changed or even played with. Really think men are just completely dilusional at times.

I do want to be with him, but it will only work if he realises how lucky he is to have an amazing little girl that he needs to spend time with, and appreciate how much I actually do. If he doesn't it will never work, but if he can't find the time to spend even 5 mins with hayley when she's in the next room - I'm worried he just won't make any effort if were done.

Hayley had a huge runny poo that went everywhere, all over her clothes and body. Yuck.

Kaedin honestly yes he works full time but we all work 24-7 with our babies. Hopefully he will be shocked into reality that he has a lovely partner and beautiful baby. When he is not at work he needs to do stuff with Hayley. My Hubby has been on 9am-9pm shifts all weekend and is today. Joseph is up for about 30 minutes before he leaves at 8am and is in bed when he gets home. He literally manages to give him his midnight bottle and that is it. He is off tomorrow and I will be redundant as he will want to do everything. I let him as he doesn't get many days when he can do that. He needs to realise a child is a blessing and she will grow up far too quickly. xxx

We share things out usually I'll get like dresses and hubby will feed him, - I do more nappies - we take turn in playing with him and feeding. He leaves for work at 3:30 so I put him to bed every night on my own but we do it together on weekends.

Kaedin, hopefully having Hayley taken away from him for a few days will make your OH realise how much he misses her and prompt him to sort his attitude.

I can't understand fathers that think mums have it easy. My OH frequently comments that he doesn't know how I cope with our daughter by myself all week!

Sorry to hear that kaedin :(

I'd be annoyed too pumpkin!

Well I left Oscar last night from 5.30 to midnight - hubby bathed him and put him to bed - perfectly !! Was part 1 of friends hen do- curry etc - lots of laughs and dancing ( I skipped the horse riding due to episiotomy )

Hubby still off work with bad back :(

Yeah I am

But it does throb every now and then and I don't think pounding the hell out of it on a leather saddle will be the most comfortable of positions :/ I can feel it when I sit on my feet if that makes sense ?

I'm exact same bex if I crouch down even tho it's healed I can still feel it!
Has anyone been to baby massage meant to be going today but on my own n 4 some reason I feel nervous about going lol is it worth it? Xxx

We love baby massage. Have been going since 8 weeks and LO really enjoys it and it's great for bonding and also nice to chat to the other mums. Last session of term today :-(

My Oh doesn't do any feeds, he stoped after the first 2 weeks when he went back to work. He never talks to her, thinks she doesn't need to be spoken to. He's never read a book to her, or sang a wee rhyme.

I done a 4 week baby massage class, and it was great. You learn all the techniques then can do it yourself at home

That's sad kaedin, but at the end of the day it's him that's missing out and he will look back and regret it. You can't make someone a better person no matter how much you try unfortunately :-(

Let me know how you get on nat, we start on wed afternoon. I know what you mean about feeling nervous, it's meeting new people, but remember they are all in the same boat as you.

Don't fancy the 'pounding on a leather saddle' much Bex!! :-O

No I don't really fancy pounding of any variety at the moment

Oscars last jabs today :(

Shopping this afternoon- going to buy a few veg and get them into purée for freezing this week aswell! X

Good luck with the jabs. We've got them tomorrow. Dreading it as she got really cranky and clingy after the last two lots.
