How are all you new mummies doing?

Awwww Kaedin, hopefully the separation gets your oh thinking about his behaviour. I can't believe his family are on his side with this. My mother in law is a pain in the neck, but if she found out her son treated me like that, I think he would get a severe talking to!

Good luck with Oscars jabs Bex!

Kathryn, only took oh and I 4 years and 2 kids to figure it out, but we take turns at the weekends and any other days he has off to have a good sleep in each. Makes such a difference.

Luke looks really happy there haha

My OH also wished my dad dead, considering my dads still in hospital from his seizure on Wednesday that really set my mum off. We planned hayley, but I really never expected to be doing it on my own. I really hope he doesn't quickly get with anyone else, if I find out he's kissed another person it'll devastate me.

Hayley that's awful! Why would he say a things like that!? He doesn't deserve you and your beautiful girl!

Ooh clever Luke! And lol and the picture. Thomas still hasn't done back to front, he's such a lazy baby!

Hubby begrudgingly did it, I got up at 10.30. Feel abit rubbish though as it was such broken sleep.

Kaedin- my mil would have something to say about it too, she'd never let Daniel get away with that.

Well done Luke!

Emma has given up trying to roll. Only practice she gets is in her cot as she hates being on the floor.

This is as good as it gets!lol

Haha! Too right!

Toria - I remember you saying you give Emma porridge... What brand do you use?

I just made some Heinz cereal (states from 4+ months) and when I look it contains sugar and milk!! I'm so annoyed! I got 2 packets on a deal at tesco and I can't even return them cos I've opened one of them. It should say 6+ Surely if it contains milk.

I don't even check the back for ingredients. Guess I should! Emma has Ella's kitchen wakey wakey baby porridge. She didn't like the baby rice, so I just mix anything with this. Veges too.

I didn't think that was 4+ I thought it would be 6+ for some reason so maybe I'll try that. I got Heinz because it was on offer and thought it was worth a try. I have some raspberry purée that went quite thin when I mixed it up so maybe I'll get that and mix it in with that.

Ella's kitchen seems so good but a lot of their stage 1 sachets have fruit in and are really quite sweet which I know is what baby is attracted to but hubby's mum has scared me saying that he would only eat things mixed with banana and now he doesn't like veggies at all.

So far the only thing he doesn't seem to like is sweet potato but I'm going to keep trying. He loves blueberry lol he also really seems to like carrot and potato. And peas, carrot and broccoli.

Emma doesn't like sweet potato either. I've only tried her with about 6 things so far, and only mixed flavours is pear and apple. She definitely prefers the sweet ones, so I've mixed them with the porridge to dilute the sweetness a bit.

Luke has has quite a few different flavours

Blueberry and apple
Banana and apple
Apple and strawberry
Carrot, parsnip and apple
Peas, carrot and pear
Carrot and potato
Carrot and broccoli (home made)

He does like the sweet ones but I'm going to be slowly introducing more veg without added fruit. He's doing really well with it - we're using a little of the pouch, then freezing. The rest so he doesn't have the same all the time. We keep about 3 sachets on the go at a time and he wats about half each time. I'm going. Use sachets for the first month mainly then make my own and just keep a few pouches/jars for trips out

He really likes carrot it seems.

Aw Jojo Luke is doing really well. Apart from baby rice Joseph seems to like everything. He has also decided he doesn't need a nap today so has been on the go since 7.15am. Not getting around very well on my knee at the moment. Hubby is off tomorrow which I am grateful for xxx

Kaedin, hopefully he'll realise what he's missing. If he doesn't well maybe you're better off without him, hard as it may seem.
Just been to get Amelia weighed, she's 4 months today and now weighs 14lb 3oz. HV gave me a prescription for hydramol for her eczema, a cream and bath liquid. Hopefully this will make a difference, think the heat is making it worse.
Amelia's showing off now she's cracked this rolling over. Only trouble is she can't get back, so where I could put her on her mat and leave her to get some jobs done, shes now wingeing when she rolls over. And she's doing it in her cot and getting her legs stuck in the bars!!

I hope that helps Katherine. Welcome to the rolling over world. Joseph can roll over great but once he is on his tummy he gets frustrated as he cant get back. I know you will be told not to do this but I have rolled Josephs cot quilt up and put that down the side so he cant roll over as we have had a couple of 3am crying matches because he had rolled over and was stuck. Not everyone will agree with me on the quilt but it works for us x

Luke hates baby rice too. He seems to like strong flavours best

I just ordered the air wrap breathable mesh cot bumper. Seems to have good reviews.
