How are all you new mummies doing?

Tori a that's awful but I wish I hadn't read it as I'm still so very nervous at night time and if he's not up at 6 I usually panic :(

People keep saying luke is "skinny" and like a runner bean and I don't thinner is! He's tall and slight but he's healthy and has energy.

Every time I go on Facebook it's there.

Luke is tall, he will just carry weight differently.

I've had to hold his pants up with a belt today... They swamp him but are the perfect length for his feet are huge too!! He's into 6-9monh shoes! Look at them (without getting too disturbed by him looking like he's missing a foot... He bent his knee and it tucked inside lol

Exactly toria, I'm happy that she is filling out and there's nothing cuter than a chubby baby but other people have a way of putting it accusingly iykwim. I've never looked at luke and thought he was skinny jojo, I just see a gorgeous baby - wish others were the same! x

When you hold him There's not much on him but he's nicely in proportion and he's not skin and bone by any means. I wish he was a bit chubbier but he's not and it just seems to be how he is. He's only 13lbs 4oz last time we checked

I woke at 6:30 for a drink. Luke woke at 6:45 for a dummy and I had to wake him up at 8:30 to be out by 9 lol

I'm feeling so paranoid about Thomas tonight now. He's got a horrible little cough and every time I hear it on the monitor I want to run up and check he's ok

I was listening to Emma babbling on the monitor last night, then she made a funny noise. Ran upstairs and she'd pulled her comforter over her face and was panicking. She normally likes to drag it over her face then hold it next to her cheek. She smiled when I pulled it off. Put it over my face and I could breathe through it, but think I'll just not let her have it in her cot till she knows what she's doing.

Don't worry Jojo, all babies put on weight to grow. He's just long, so more places to hide it :-). My son was like that, then both my girls got the rolls.lol.

Yeah definately toria, it's not worth it. S has had her 'sooky' comforter in cot once and put it over her face and screamed the place down cos she couldn't get it off, her face was bright red from the heat of it and crying so never again!

My cousin is up from surrey this weekend which is exciting! We went for Italian last night tho and I was awake 3 hours in the night feeling sooo sick :-( my cousin was up feeling the same too, not good :-(

I'm getting to the end of my tether. Every night from about 8pm, Iris screams the flat down and is inconsolable for anything from 1-2 and a half hours until she goes to sleep. From looking online, I think it might be colic so we've bought some comfort milk today hoping that might help. Any experience? X

We used comfort milk since Austin was a few weeks old but for constipation. Seemed to help with the bit of trapped wind he had so he's never really had colic. No issues until he developed reflux

Definitely sounds like colic. It hits it's peak between 5-7 weeks, so you should be through it soon. We are using comfort milk. Just beware you will probably need to go up a teat size as it's quite thick.

Is actually try infacol or collief before changing milk.

I posted in the May mummies cherry so I won't repeat myself lol!!! X

I wouldn't worry Jojo. Luke is younger than Thomas and only weighs very slightly less. They put on weight as and when they need to. Only time there is cause to monitor is if they suddenly drop weight or are following 0.4 centile as that's always a worry if they become ill

Thanks everyone. Got the comfort milk now so trying that first and if not try the infacol. Sorry for posting in two threads, just desperate for answers!! X

Getting nervous now as Hayley has her second set of jags tomorrow. Really hoping it goes alot better than the first set. Thankfully my mums going to come with me so I don't need to do it alone again.

Hayleys been abit grumpy today as she's just been really tired. She's been asleep for over an hour now...bit worried that it means she'll wake at the crack of dawn

Kaedin have we got the same baby??? Maddie has her second jabs tomorrow and she's been a right mardy mare today and won't go to sleep!

That makes 3!! I'm dreading the jabs she was off for 5 days last time :-( she's also been off all weekend! Don't no what's been up she has worn me out think I'm going to bed soon also feel like the worst mummy ever took m for her swimming lesson which is a 20 min drive and forgot to put our swim bag in the car :-( we didn't have time to go back n fetch it I get so awful I had a little cry n pete was horrible to me I just can't believe I forgot it what an idiot xxx

Good luck for the jabs tomorrow. Emma was better with the second lot if that's any help.

Stanley had his second set on Thursday and he has been fine afterwards, hope your LO's are ok after too :)
He had baby massage beforehand which he seemed to enjoy so we will be going back! He was the only boy in the class though!

Must be the weather, Emma's been off all weekend too. Took all the kids for a walk earlier to try get Emma to sleep. She didn't sleep, my son fell off his scooter and cut his knee open. My daughter whinged the whole way. Got home 45 minutes later. Parked the pram on the deck, opened a bottle of wine and had a few glasses !lol. Feel much better now :-)
