How are all you new mummies doing?

Seems to be pretty good, we got the mamas and papas luxury travel cot for £62.50 inc a mattress and he slept like a log on it. Seems very comfortable

We got a grace one given to us it's nice and big and sturdy, so easy to put up and down but hard mattress

Omg it's 4:35 and Luke is taking his first nap of the day!! Ben fighting it for hours!

Jst took Emma swimming. Dunked her, she coughed a bit when she came up. Didn't cry though. First thing that came to mind was an article I read about secondary drowning :-/ who has dunked their babies?

Thomas has been dunked, he's been fine. Have read about secondary drowning but can't remember anything about it now. Stupid baby brain

Yeah I had to look it up. It's when a little water is inhaled and the person drowns 1-24 hours later! Signs are coughing, fatigue, and generally being out of sorts. How would you know with a baby though.....

Scary, but I'm sure most people have inhaled a little water in their lives. Must be those unlucky few.

The water goes to their tummies not their lungs

Oscar gets dunked all the time

Harry has been dunked a few times n always seemed ok that's frightened me a bit now tho Christ didn't even knew that existed!!

We've had a jekyll and hyde baby this weekend! Yesterday we went to a party and she was well behaved, smiley and social and then slept really well last night. Today she has been extremely cranky, wanting extra feeds and crying nearly all day. :-( Really hope she will sleep ok tonight.

Hoping to take her to her first swimming lesson in next couple of weeks. They don't do dunking though which is a shame as I'd hoped to introduce it to her before she loses the underwater reflexes. Not sure I'd have confidence to do it by myself!

How come they don't dunk?

Toria I've dunked Luke quite a few times (missed last 2 weeks due to chest infection) and he's been fine! In our class we dunk three times - I'm not worried shout secondary drowning, it's very rare and they woukdn't do it if if weren't safe.

Was so annoyed tonight! I have felt off all day so went to bed when Luke had his nap at 4:45- expected hubby to wake me but he dudnt then I was awoken at 6:45 by Luke screaming - thought he sounded tired so I started to run hus bath (thinking hubby would be trying to calm him downstairs!!) I shouted down to bring him up but he never dud so u set the Bath running, got his stuff ready and came down... Luke was on hus own in the living room screaming while hub was in the kitchen on the phone to his mum with the door closed - when I asked why door was closed he said he couldn't hear his mum fir Luke's crying!! Am I wrong or shoukd he have either come to get me ortell his mum he'd call her later??

I might be mad but u dint think I'd call someone eith a baby for a chat at what I know is bath time/bedtime(nit her fault - he shoukd be asking her to call him later or earlier)

Anyway he stopped crying when I picked him up and he's now asleep in bed.

Why didn't he tell his mum he'd call back later?! I bet if she'd realised he'd left Luke alone she'd have hung up herself!

I don't know why they don't dunk but have been told the instructor won't do it until they're 12 months.

Jojo, I don't even answer the phone any more.lol. Never enough time for a chat.

I went upstairs earlier to clean the bathroom leaving oh and the kids to watch Emma. Heard her crying a bit later, yelled down and no one answered. So came down and Emma was on her own in the lounge while the rest of them were in the garden doing various things!

She probably likes being out and about. Emma's like that. Crying all the time when were home. Go out and she's a different baby. Everyone says how good she is. If only they knew!lol

Yeah, she's nearly always impeccably behaved when out with other people. They never believe us when we tell them what she can be like. Today was dreadful though, like when she had her jabs. And we've got the joy of the 3rd set coming up soon.

Cis he's an idiot! I leave Luke alone all the time - I'd never get anything done otherwise but I always leave kitchen door open (our living room opens up to out stairs and dunno groom so it's awfully open plan but not when he's crying!

They have this weird relationship - always call in a Sunday at 6:45-7:00 and that' a all the contact to they really have.

That sounds about right jojo! I was out pottering in the garden and was watching hubby feed S while watching the football and was so glued that she choked on milk cos he wasn't paying attention to her fighting it off to catch a breath! They just aren't as good at multitasking than us.

That's it ladies, my fitness app back on my phone. 9 weeks til I have to be in a bikini eeeekkk!! Why can't I be Tamara ecclestone?!!

Because I wanna be her! Esp her bank account
