How are all you new mummies doing?

Getting a reasonably early night, dosed up on paracetamol and vit c, hoping it's just an afternoon/evening thing and it'll be gone in the morning

:night:

Toria where did you buy your samsonite cot?

Thought I'd have a decent sleep but I think little man is feeling unwell too so been woken up. First time I've seen 1amwith him in awhile.

Typically went to bed at 1am last night and only had 2 alcoholic drinks all evening but this is what seems to have killed me.

Not keen on the cot been up n down like a yo yo since 2 :-( now she's having a bottle in our bed lack of sleep really does you when u just get used to it again!! X

Ergh I feel for you Nat, I haven't had a good night either. Took me about 1.5 to settle her after 12 feed. And then she was up just after three and I haven't had any sleep since. She just won't go down! Everytime a put her down asleep she wakes up. Tried waiting longer or tried to settle her in her basket awake but she will have non of it. I can't even do co sleeping, although its not my thing anyway. But being next to me doesn't comfort her at all, only being held. Gave up at six and got up and now she is feeding again. Not coping well on the lack of sleep!

I just feel a bit like I must be doing something wrong. X

Oh hunny u def not doing anything wrong how old is your lo? M was around 9 weeks before she started sleeping better and I had plenty of nights like yours no sleep is a killer it makes everything seem so much worse big hugs xxxx

Ah thanks Nat, I know I feel a better for a cuppa. Considering taking up expressos even though I hate coffee! Lol. Not even having caffeine tea as bf!

She is 7 weeks old, I know too young to complain. Its just frustrating when I know she is really tired, but guess she just needs the comfort still. Its just she actually sleeps better when she will go down as seems to go in to a deeper sleep. When I hold her she is often. Sleeping lightly.

I can cope with the getting up to do all the feeds etc, but little to no sleep in between on a regular basis is a bit of a killer. She was much better on Saturday so was hoping she was coming out of the other side of a growth spurt. She has been pretty unsettled for about 2 weeks now, but was better before this.

Ah well I will stop moaning as she is a little angel, everyone says I will be sorry when she doesn't want mummy cuddles all the time : )

Jen, I can't see the exact one we got. But Koo di do a similar one

Thanks, I'm being abit of a baby about it really, but doesn't help that Thomas is all bunged up too

Kathryn, it's always so much harder with a baby too, and a sick one at that! Snuggle up on the couch and do nothing for the day!

^^^ sounds like a plan Kathryn.

Thanks toria, they are the 2 that I seen, not sure which would be better for her. Depends how big the one with the sides is but what if she rolls out of the no sides one. Gah!! :-O x

Hi Ladies,
Just looking for a bit of advice, LO is now 8 weeks old and shes getting awful dry skin on her face, i know that its their skin getting used to being in the big wide world, but i was wondering if any of you had the same issue? and if so what creams/what did you do with it?
Thank you in advance! :) Hope you all are well!

My lo had a dry for head and eyebrows, it has almost gone now she is 7 weeks but I just left it. Maybe its with popping to gp if its not improving?

Well I have book lo in to the gp this afternoon to discuss possibility of reflux, worried they will think I'm a daft worrying mum but I'm still convinced something's not right and she has been v sick again this morning and seems really uncomfy. At least if they tell me she hasn't then I can rule it out xxx

Hey all. It's our first day of being home alone and we're getting on well :) I managed to get ready and do a lil housework before oh left for work so don't have to worry about it now :) had a phd student come round who interviewed me for her research on traumatic births which was good and I got £15 shopping vouchers :) she's now soundo on my chest.. Just need to try and move her to the Moses basket so I can make some lunch haha..

Thanks for all your stories about the witching hour.. We had progress last night - when she went into a paddy we cuddled her but didn't try and make her stop (we normally walk around, rock, sing etc) and she calmed down within about ten mins and fell asleep! She woke a few times and repeated so we did it again and it worked :) I think it's cos we're not getting stressed! Xxx
