How are all you new mummies doing?

For weeks the only way Luke woukd sleep was with lullabies on repeat all night! So egi especially we had yo let him sleep in his reclining rocker or we'd not have slept at all!

Like others said cherry it's totally normal. If you read back our posts at the start it was a totally different picture then. My lo had a witching couple of hours late at night then mostly did 2 wake ups, down to one at about 8 weeks then through the night at about 11. Every baby is so different but at least you see an end in sight. We used to take turns about too for our sanity. My hubby works shifts but if he was on days, he would do the last feed at night then I would do the night ones. It's hard going and I regularly had meltdowns. I still cry at least once a week lol! Try and keep your visitors still coming and once your able to get out the house, try and do. Our days are so much worse in the house now that she is bigger! White noise is amazing for yourself and baby. I got them on spotify or YouTube. And i always made sure that I made the day different from night for her. Quieten things down, quick bath, change sleepsuit and close all the blinds etc. your doing a great job, and it is hard, so don't beat yourself up.

Wow that was an essay! It's so hard not to but don't beat yourselves up ladies. Our bodies have been through so much trauma and done an amazing thing. I joke sometimes that I wish I had a sign on me saying 'I have a baby'!!

Stacey seriously I could write the exact same post. S doesn't make strange with people and I'm so concious of giving her to people and not taking her straight away when she cries cos I want her to get used to people but for some reason whenever she goes to SIL the lip goes and she screams! I think it's the in her face high pitched ness too! Think it prob depends on her mood but hope she stops :-O

Lol so I go in to pop Luke's dummy in and had to laugh... This is NOT how I put him to bed lol

Has anyone ever woken up and just felt off... Not sick just not right ? It's a weird feeling, I just don't feel quite like I'm into body today - like a weird freaky Friday body swap or something I just don't feel right... Weird.

Yep I felt like this yesterday n still a bit today, not enough to say I was ill but not right it's really odd!!!

Hayley is still at her auntie and uncles house, but they just sent this picture! How cute is my girlie, all full of smiles!

Missing her like mad but I know she's safe & very happy :)

Me & OH had a great night and the cinema was great. Only downside was the lady sitting next to me had a stick up her arse. Would tut or say "oh for fucks sake" anytime folk would loudly laugh, or happen to make some noise. She barely laughed at any of the jokes in the movie. Don't see why you'd go to see a comedy if you don't want to laugh and despise people who laugh  My OH laughed loudly at a funny bit and she called him a "bell end"

Thankfully our family haven't been too in Hayleys face. If Hayley starts crying I usually take her back, but it depends who she cries with. Some of our family are really good with kids so they settle her down on their own. And I don't want her to learn to be happy only when im holding her, if you know what I mean heh

I have a question about the cot, when my OH built it he said the instructions said the safest position is the lowest one. So once I move Hayley to the cot how do I know which level to use? I take it any position would be fine now as she can't sit herself up or climb out?

We have it on highest because he can't sit up and that's fine for now

Yeah we have it at the highest too. It's the easiest to get her in without waking her up and she can't move. Once she starts being more mobile I'll lower it. Glad you had fun kaedin ;-)

For anyone on my Facebook.... Read the comment/s on the photo of hubby and Oscar asleep.... Some people!! He's not even a parent

Lol! Some people honestly - fb is the worst for it! People get brave on there and say things they never would in real life! Love your reply!!

Never met his sister before in my life - his comment was hardly advise as he calls it! weird!

Haha good for you! who is he to you? I had a snoop on his fb and he likes to make argumentative statements anyway!

Hi all, had a fab night with our friends and now back at home. First time using Thomas' travel cot so wasn't sure how he was going to sleep, plus we went out for dinner so disturbed his evening routine abit. He went to bed at 10pm after his last bottle and woke at 7.45. Result!!

Luke slept well at his granny's on Friday night in his travel cot but we had to put his padded mat under him because the mattress was so HARD! What's yours like?
