How are all you new mummies doing?

I won £50 st the fayre I went to today :)

I like wearing floaty dresses and maxi dresses - they hide everything. I think you look great bex. I'm going to get swimming again soon - they do a lauded night on a Tuesday and mum saud sges babysit

Tummytume question... I find it hard go get Luke to stay down fir more than a few mins but mum git a playmat with tummy pillow and he loves it. We already have three play mats at home so don't really want another but he loved the pillow. Question is do I pay £15 for a pillow with cool toys on it or a Tenner fir another mat and pillow?

This is what I'm looking at - great reviews all over. I trued rolling a blanket up and young thst but it just squashes and a l neck pillow is wrong shape, v pillow is too big SND cushions just encourage him to lie down and hi to sleep lol.

Jojo, I'm tempted to get one of those as well. Only time Emma's happy on her tummy is when I get the other kids down with her.

The one my mum got was just £10 with a tummy pillow and turned him from a screaming mess into a happy leg kicking, almost rolling, laughing boy!

I'm getting my grandma one fir her house (different kind) so he can use that at hers so he can be occupied while we chinwag lol (I kept saying "I'm getting this one fir my grandma" then jaunt hung cis I immagined an 82yr ok'd on the floor lol)

The one I git fir my house has great reviews!!

Stanley has had a weird fussy clingy day today we went to mil house with step son and sil and her boy was there and another cousin.. Anyway as soon as we get there mil always puts her head in the car seat and in Stanley's face starts making loads of weird noises! (I feel nasty saying this!) but it's usually really loud and OTT so he started crying (he actually hardly ever cries) so I got him out to comfort him got him to stop crying she does it again and he cries!
She has a hold he cries, then sil took him and he's usually fine with her but nope he started crying again! But she manged to settle him and he had a little snooze
He woke up and and he was ok Chris was out in the garden playing with the other kids so I handed Stanley to sil to make a bottle up, I heard him screaming when I was in the kitchen! So when I got back in I took him and started to feed him mil said 'you can't just feed him everytime he cries!' I thought bloody hell he wasn't even crying when I went to make him the bottle and I just said he was due feed which he was.
But for the remainder of the time there she would try making him laugh going in his face doing these silly noises/faces which was just upsetting him!!! Now I really like her but you would think she would think of something else to do instead of doing something which he clearly doesn't like! she was getting spit in his face blowing raspberry things iykwim by mistake but she'd just had a fag bork! I was guna get up and move but her phone started ringing!
Think she was a bit sick of us in the end cos Stanley wouldn't smile for her!

Anyways got home put him in the bath and he poo'd!! So had to run another one!

I've completely cut bread, potato & pasta out & I usually eat nothing but shit! Im allowing myself the odd treat here & there & a weekly takeaway otherwise I don't think of do it & I've still lost ity rust me when I say I'm a terrible water & my hubby can eat what he wants & doesn't put a lb on...in fact I'm pretty sure he eats & I out his weight on!

Morning all. Glad you're all getting on well - sorry to hear about your hubby bex!

My oh goes back to work on Monday and I'm absolutely dreading it. I had a Caesarian so can't drive for another three weeks and we're in a first floor flat and I'm not meant to lift much so I don't think I'll be able to get the buggy downstairs a without help.. I really don't want to be stuck in the flat cos I'll go cuckoo! How did you all cope when your partner went back to work? X

How are you feeling after the section? I saw my GP after 2 weeks and 1 day and he said I could drive again.

I have good days and bad days, sometimes I feel fine and then others I still get some pain, don't think I'm upto driving yet tbh :(

My oh is def the tidy one in our relationship, even before I had baby I was never that fussed. I also find the mummy thing really emotionally draining and must have a cry at least once a day. Oh gives me pep talks - not sure how I'll cope without them!

I know what you're all saying about confidence going after having baby. I hate my stomach now, it's all lose stretch marked skin.. I used to hate my baby bump but now i really miss it!

My lo has a melt down every night somewhere between 8-10pm where she screams and screams for no reason and eventually just falls asleep.. We've been dealing with one for about an hour but she's finally settled now! Oh is good and we take it in turns to try and settle her! Does anyone else have the same problem? X

Yep! Toria introduced me to what's called the witching hour! Oscars is 5.30-6.30 just before his bedtime routine! Once he's in te bath he's happy as Larry again!

If we do t get like to bed by 8:30 he does that. He also has one about 4:00pm

Yep anything between 5-7 Macie has a meltdown lol she just gets so over tired bless her xxx

Ah ok, good to know it's not just me then! We don't really have any kind of routine yet as she's so young but it seems that it's cos she's overtired. She's reasonably calm now but refusing to go to sleep :( xx

Oh when Luke was 2
Weeks old he didn't sleep until 11pm and he was up at last twice a night... By 4 weeks it was just the once and by 13 weeks he was sleeping through - don't worry about lo being harder settle right now, not that it makes it any easier. Bless.

She's screaming again now - oh is attempting to soothe her! Yeah she always wakes about twice in the night too which is ok as we do one each. This mummy thing is sooooo hard, I feel like such a failure! I really hope as she gets bigger, she sleeps better! I don't like thinking she's upset :(

She's so young - needs to learn to self settle - get you tube on and play some white noise, heart beat, placenta sounds - I personally use the rain music :)

Lots of long calm swings and long shush's worked for Oscar :)
