How are all you new mummies doing?

I know they have to tell you what they are told but seriously!! I hardly think at 10 months old there's a problem with her taking milk from a bottle! I think I'll see how she is dropping to 2 cos I still feel like she could be eating more food. It's rare if she finishes a 7mth jar and she always has a wee yogurt or custard pot and some cheese at meals so plenty dairy.

Hubby's a policeman mrs b so works a 5 weeks shift pattern with all different shifts. We were lucky to find a lovely pay as you go nursery so we only pay the days she is in. Works out great. I do sometimes wish he had more weekends off but it works for us childcare wise just now. You can't win eh?! x x

I think Emma's trying to drop her 3rd bottle too. She gets very excited when she sees the milk coming, then might drink 2 or 3 oz then just play with it. Literally! Flings it across the room, speed crawls after it. Brings it back and does it again. The when she's worn out, might have another oz or 2 if I'm lucky. She eats a lot though. Normally has one of those little bags of cheese, then a pouch, then a fruit pot or yoghurt. At dinner she will have the same, then eat some of my dinner a bit later too.

Thomas is the same, totally like a bin. He'll eat anything given half the chance (that isn't his!!!)

Bex - feel sorry for you I had some stomach pain today that felt like pregnancy by clearly isn't as I've only just finished my period. Suddenly remember all the pains I went through early on

Stanley never eats a full jar or pouch! I think a full jar is loads when I put 3/4 in the bowl I still think that looks like loads! Sometime he doesn't even finish that.

Luke don't eat a full jar - he eats a full pouch monotone em but I find he's just swallowing pouches as if they're water now lol

Tonight he had potatoes, peas, sweet corn, carrots and chicken which is wAg more than a jar or pouch. I think it's because there's less fluid in it. I dido managed to feed him a full beaker of weak juice with his meal today which is a first. I find he will drink if he diesnt have his sTliwr bottle and way more too, but I worry about his wright do don't want to stop it,

I give Oscar a beaker with his meals but I also give him water through a bottle aswell

Only way I can keep him hydrated !

HV can go forth - luckily she's awsome and said whatever works ATM because of hospital etc - just introduce the beaker more when he's ready!

Stanley does eat loads more of home cooked food than he does jars/pouches probs cos they taste crap!
He has a tommee tippee cup with meals and a bottle for milk I'm
In no rush to get him off the bottle on to a beaker for his milk to be fair

I've never even thought to be given milk in a beaker at this stage! hayley loves her milk in a bottle and guzzles her 3 bottles a day in no time at all - so im not changing that just yet. Always give her water in a beaker though

Hayley must be a bit of a grubber, she easily finishes a jar or pouch of food for lunch and dinner then has a few treats (rice cakes/carrot sticks/little biscuits) afterwards. I haven't been to see the HV in over 2 month - but even then it's just in, the weight is XXX and out! hayley is still in her 6-9 month clothes and alot of that is still big on her, think she's quite short still?.

A family friends partner has just gone into labour and ive now realised how broody I am! Really exciting knowing a new little person will be in the world soon. Pretty jealous of you ladies that are pregnant, ttc or soon to be ttc!

I find the same stace- Osvar will only eat if I'm lucky half the amount of a jar than a cooked meal

I don't give him jars anymore - he likes the 1+ year heinz meals in a bowl - I have about 5 in the cupboard for emergencies

When we are out he eats off toddler menu' s now aswell

We're still on jars but slowly getting closer to normal food. He just wouldn't eat anything I gave him that I cooked and mushed up to start whereas now he's really starting to enjoy food that his mum and dad eat. He wolfed down two tangerines today.

Just told the hubby to stop watching this horrendous piece of garbage to programme. His tastes in tv are getting ridiculous now and I've had enough of it: this programme included graphic murder, violence, swearing and rape. Don't get me wrong I'm not that bothered about the swearing and I can handle violence but when it's that graphic and there's a horrific rape scene im not sitting watching it. We're in bed as well so there's no escaping it so I've told him to turn it off.

Can't get in the mood to ttc when I have to watch crap like that

S seems to be the same as the other babies then, she'll probs eat 3/4 of a jar and a big cube or storage pot of home made.

Talking of home made food - I mainly make S food too and SIL posted a video of S on fb eating mac and cheese at MIL. MIL says 'there's loads here, we will give you some for tea, it's better than the CRAP you brought!' I've been raging for days about it. By crap she means healthy stuff. S had salmon for lunch that day and spag Bol for tea!!!
