How are all you new mummies doing?

Wow look at her!! Growing so quick!!

Yep Oscar has porridge every day - at nursery and home in various flavours! I use heinz ( and nursery do ) as you make with water rather than milk! Any others people reccommed? Aptamil is water too but not as many flavours ? X

I use ready brek and make with Thomas' formula then add my own flavours. The occasional treat with a tiny bit of Nutella which he goes nuts for

My usual is Heinz and get one of the Aptamil ones too, but have run out so can't remember what it was. Just got the Ella's kitchen strawberry, mango and banana one. But that's add milk.

The 28 days is up on our aptamil one so think I'll venture into the world of all these porridge flavours haha! Hope everyone's having a good weekend x x

Just been at home today which has been lovely as its been abit manic this week so I've caught up with tidying the house, washing etc..

I'm just bored now. We're about to sit down and do a Christmas list for thomas to understand what we've got and what other people can get him if asked.

Meh feeling restless

Had our friends around this afternoon / evening - they have an 8 week old and want to go away feb time, we want to get away early next year

Looks like all 4 of us and babies going away! Poss carribean - popping up again - canaries are too hit and miss and the likes of Egypt etc just don't take our fancy at all

Hey! Feel like I haven't wrote on here for ages! Everything is all good though stanley teething like mad I'm just waiting for a tooth to finally arrive! He's gone off his milk slightly the last couple of days and has soo much slaver! Red cheeks more than ever and a red chin :)

We've got my Step son til mon, (got him yest) been at court again this week too as we want him for Xmas this year she's never allowed it for 8 years so it's about time!! She still saying no though.. Typical.
We went swimming today then had Chris nephew over to sleep, possibly going to the cinema and out for Sunday lunch tomorrow.
Stanley eats the cow and gate flavoured porridge too.. I was going to try him on some weetabix when I've finished this lot. I've been mixing some pouches with my home cooked stuff.. Fuming cos the pouches stain EVERYTHING! Ha

:D

We're doing South of France next June with a load of friends so should be good.

Jars are a nightmare for staining. We're good at keeping clean while eating it's the sick that's the problem. I find soaking beforehand and then a long machine was really helps

My girl is back home from my ex. It went alot better today as he told me when she slept, she woke through the night crying, he told me when he fed her ect. So im pleased with how it went compared to previous times.

He mentioned that she was constipated so i told him to always give her a drink of water with food in a sippy cup. He said he'd given her a fruit juice thats suitable from 4 months, I said i'd prefer to give her water to prevent decay and so she doesn't end up not wanting water as it's too bland in comparison. I've not bought her any juices or anything, however; are these ok? I would assume they don't have too much sugars ect in them if theyre ok from 4 months?

I bought hayley a long sleeved bib which is great. It's stained but it doesnt matter as her clothes are protected. Until she's sick all over the place ha! I've been using the little stain removal ball to rub in detergent which so far has been working really well.

I wouldn't buy the juice drinks personally. My understanding is that they aren't dilute enough (1:3 instead of 1:10) and if you want to offer juice with a meal it's a lot cheaper to dilute it yourself.

Kaedin I think the juice is the lesser of 2 evils personally - I'd rather he did that than not give her anything iyswim? And from the way he was before he's actually got juice suitable for her etc?

Maddie had juice sometimes as she detests water and will make herself gag on it after more than a couple of sips so I dilute the juice to within an inch of it's life but the slight taste of it means she'll drink a lot of it and stops her getting constipated.

Lesser of 2 evils in my book but just make sure it's like 1 part juice to 10parts water minimum.

^wss better than nothing and it's not going to hurt every now and then

As the others have said, some liquid is better than nothing. But if Hayley will take water, I'd stick with that. Cheaper and better in the long run. I've only recently let my 6 year old start to have diluted juice. And even with the sugar free ones I notice It has an affect on her

We get the premake baby juice but we dilute it again - he doernt have much, just sometimes for his snack because were cutting out his 10:30 milk. He likes it but as I say we dilute it but I don't think it will do her any harm tbh.

Oscar has water only ?

Nice long walk by the river today! Come back to that bloody mummy dragon or whatever her name is poking her nose I oscars reflux saying I'm short sighted ! Good job I'm biting my tongue at that one which is unlike me!! Grr

I just read that! It's awful to say that? The poor lad was do sick with reflux at the start and you really had to fight to get it settled... They didnt just hand it out. Fucking stupid thing to say!

Its an opinion. It won't be the first time one of us has said something that someone else disagrees with & doesn't like.

No offence Bex but it reminds me of what you just posted on fb about speaking your mind :)

Some people believe that medicine isn't the answer to everything. I know someone who has been told she has a stomach problem that needs medicating & operating on but she believes she can sort it with herbal remedies which I find ridiculous but that's my opinion.

Aw I hate Sundays and have that Sunday feeling! What's eating away at me is my shitty mum hasn't seen S in 5 weeks and has been back from holiday for 3 days, lives 5 mins away - and no word! Need to vent before I text her telling her exactly where to stick it!!!

Has S had stranger anxiety yet? Austin started recently...think that upset a few people when he started crying when he was passed to them! I actually said it's because he's not seen you enough to them...in this case tho it's not through lack of wanting to see him just they can't get to see him a lot but maybe that will stir something in her?
