How are all you new mummies doing?

I'm thinking about getting that Kerry

Jojo, why does he now need to have less milk. He's only a little bit younger than thomas and at 7 months he weighed 18lb 2, Luke seems to weigh an average weight, seems very odd

Because he should have 20oz and he has around 27oz. Luke is on the 37th centile I think she says. Tbh I think he's ready for it

Can't remember everything I got Emma for Xmas, but she's done now. Gonna have to be ruthless and have a good clear out of the playroom - including the sofa to fit it all in ! Maddie's almost got enough too. Just gotta find out what my stepdaughter want, and try to talk Jack out of Xbox or one of those expensive games consoles. The older they get, the more expensive the requests!

Lol! My husband would see this as an excuse/opportunity! We already have a PS3/ps4/Xbox 360 & he wants an Xbox one! I can see it now, anything he wants, he'll buy saying its for austin!

The Xbox with kinect sensor are brilliant for all the family tho. My 4 yr old niece loves to play bowling on if. We take it to FIL at Xmas & we all have a laugh on it . And at new year we get drunk with friends and have a go on it. Managed to win at bowling once when I was very drunk, bowling left handed & backwards haha!

Why are hv's so black and white? Does it honestly matter if he has slightly more than 20oz? I'm sure he'll get to that when he's ready.

Whenever I weigh thomas I don't talk to them, I go in and write his weight down then leave. I'm fed of of their advice, everything they've said to me has been useless so I ignore them now

Haha I do exactly the same. I only go once a month just to fill in my monthly pictures and I don't entertain any conversation with them!

I was glad she said it actually because I was thinking if dropping that bottle anyway but wanted to check his weight first.

The things that was silly was her "advice" about Luke's bad settling at the moment. He's just not settling at all! He's sleepingn when he's finally down but I'm finding it a pain right now to get him to go to sleep. She tells me just to go in and put his dummy in and eventually he will go to sleep... Oh yeah? You wanna try 4 hours of that between 7 and 11pm?! Sometimes I need to take him out his room to get him calm before he'll go back in and sleep. She's saying it's easy! I just don't let him nap in the afternoon after 1pm and he'll sleep... That easy. Yeah, ok love!

You haven't met mine! She doesn't let you! She asks a million questions and yesterday she had a student in.

I'm so glad my hubby isn't Into all those games consoles - we don't have one here - he had a ps3 but sold it about 3 years ago as he didn't use it! He would prefer to go outside and mess about with an RC car or something

Hoping the same of Oscar - my friends LB is well into Xbox and he's only 3!! He has picked up terrible habits off it- he turned to his dad and said I've killed you dad!! I was shocked !

My brothers are mad for them though! My one brother being ranked top 100 in the world for 1 game ( sad act lol )

We use our consoles daily, not always for games but for Netflix and things - do yoga on my wii and hubby joggs. Hubby loves gaming but doesn't so it much due to time- I like platform games too. I don't think there's anything wrong as long as they're not on there all the time. My friends 9 year kid plays gta and I think that's wrong!

We have the PS3 on the living room and he Xbox 360 upstairs.

We have a PS3 and a wii but it hardly gets used. Hubby will have a binge on it when a new game comes out as then won't play it for a year

Yeah that's awful. My friends let their LO play on COD & GTA. They mute coz of bad language but I still wouldn't allow that! Luckily Chris is fifa & racing games! I don't mind the playstation coz I like the lego games...sad, I know but who cares!

Thankfully he doesn't just play on that. He's got a variety of hobbies. Football twice a week, photography, golf...he can't wait to get him started with golf!

Chris got Jack a wii when he was about 3 months old! For himself obviously. Jack is obsessed with skylanders. Omg, if any of your kids ever bring it up, just ignore them! Each figure costs about £15, then they might just die within 2 mins. The only way to reuse them is to reset the entire game back to square one. Very expensive!

Jack is on his iPad a lot, face timing his friends or playing with his clan? He plays rugby, football, gymnastics, golf, goes to art club and also in the cross country and athletics team, and waiting for a place on the hockey team. so I'm not worried..... Yet!lol

Thanks, he's got all of those. Probably paid full price too :-( they bring out a new portal every 9 months or so. And the kids all play against each other, so once the new portal comes out ( there's a new one out for Xmas), the old ones get dropped.

Oh no! Was bad enough Emma having it and me being fine. Hope it passes quick. Not nice.

Lucky hubbies at home cause I wouldn't want to pass this to thomas.

Currently confined to the bedroom and bathroom

Put Emma down for her nap at 12:45ish, did a few chores then went for a nap myself as I was up early this morning. Got woken at about 2:10ish by Emma crying downstairs. Lay in bed thinking Chris will feed her soon. Finally at 2:30 I came downstairs to ask what was going on. He was just going about his day, yelling at the other kids to play with her. Totally oblivious to the fact she has her milk at 2! This has only been the routine for 3 weekends so far. Regardless, you would think after 30 mins of crying he would figure it out!grrrr

Good plan. Only Emma and Chris had it in our house. I made Chris only use the downstairs bathroom and toilet so he didn't pass it on. No idea how I escaped getting it. Get better soon x
