How are all you new mummies doing?

The 7+ ones aren't much chunkier. They are much smoother than my homemade meals. He will be fine.

don't mean to go off topic ladies but going to give Joseph his first 7 month pouch for his lunch (I had a couple of 4 month jars left so I used them first). I hope he eats it ok x

I gave Thomas a couple of those last week, the chunks aren't that big and he seemed to enjoy them. Particularly the mild curry!

Luke enjoyed the beef stew one ellas kitchen but have him a Heinz jar 7+ and it's just too chunky for him... I've been adding baby pasta to smooth purée to start build up

Kaedin if it is in writing about what contact the pair of you have then contact the police if he doesn't return Hayley when he should it can be classed as some form of kidnap otherwise..
Had a similar issue last week when his ex didn't give step son for contact, then when we did get him we kept him overnight even though she wanted him back that day, the courts granted that we have him for the full week and the day we got him fell on that week, she said she was going to phone the police if we didn't return him but didn't have a leg to stand on which is why she didn't bother, still having to go back to court about it all cos she broke the court order again,
He needs to stick with what the courts/mediator/ solicitors have agreed or the courts will come down on him. X

I'm Sophie Oldhamstead on Facebook, profile pic is Maddie feel free to add me kaedin, I can't find you :)

That's awful about your ex def make sure he keeps to your agreed schedule!

That's brilliant jojo!

Defo phone the police kaedin, if he isn't capable of feeding her in his 3 hour period then how the hell is he gonna cope overnight... Asshole!!

Just went to sainsburys for some formula, And a selection of 7+ baby food for Emma. £37!!!! And I went for the cheaper jars.

37 quid !!!

I've bought cheese, carrots, 2 chicken breasts, sweet potatoe etc, got peas and sweetcorn and will do him some veg with meat for freezer, will do some bolognaise aswell as he enjoyed that !

The expense for me is fresh fruit and veg for finger food lol

Don't you have a market nearby? Loads cheaper than supermarkets. Fresher too

Oh God ladies I'm having such a broody day today really can't wait to ttc again!! Think I must b mad lol. Harry is finally eating homemade stuff again so guna make a fish pie n spag bol for him next week still got a few bits in the freezer.

No markets near me. My closest supermarket is 2 miles away.

That was all jars, pouches and carrot stick things and this biscotti biscuits. Just needed 7+ stuff to try for when we are out. Will be making a few recipes for freezing for Emma when we are in though. Much cheaper!

Although just tried one of the pouches and she screamed and shook her head every time I went near her. Guess that ones a no. Then gave her a biscotti and she chomped a 3rd off and started choking, so will leave that a while, then gave her a carrot stick think and she just licked it a few times and flung it on the floor. Lol

I know he's just making everything so difficult! It's my own fault as he asked to pick hayley up an hour earlier on Saturday (as he was finishing work earlier) and drop her off an hour earlier on sunday to compensate and I agreed as he'd been pretty civil and me & hayley had no other plans so it suited everyone. But since then he's wanting to change the contact times. It's like he's thrown it in my face that I bent the agreement slightly. I won't be doing that again!

I tried Oscar on a 7+ month pouch so I could see consistancy for
Making my own! Was a fish pie and tasted like shit! Haha

I go to aldi - it's pretty damn cheap to be fair - paid 79p for a punnet of strawberries earlier!!

There's no Aldi here otherwise I Would go there too. I reckon saving on groceries is a big way to save money. Allows for other luxuries. We've got a waitrose in our town, sainsburys down the motorway about 8 mins, tescos is in the next town, about 15 mins away and have a Morrisons over the road from it. Then if I want to go to Asda it's 20 mins away. I tend to check prices on my supermarket, then go where's cheapest even if it's Asda as I usually need other stuff in the area. There's a m&s 25 mins away too. Why do I Live here?lol

Haha, re fish pie. Try and try again I guess. The recipe I made last. Chicken, butternut squash was pretty nice. Just need to make time to make more. Maybe tomorrow while Emma's at nursery.

It must be hard with all 3! Bet you can't wait till she can eat what you all eat!

2 weeks to go ladies and I'll be joining in your weaning chat and asking plenty questions haha!

Went to a buggy strides exercise class today, was really good actually and mostly mums from baby group so was a good chat too. £5 a class tho so a bit steep.

Just cleared out all 3-6 stuff, it's so sad!! It's the age where she has had the prettiest outfits so it's really hard to put away. Makes me realise how little 6-9 she has tho :wall:!! Hope everyone had a good day x

Oh and finalised return to work today.. Monday 27th oct, every day bar a wed. Actually gutted :-( x

:( not nice is it Jen, at least it's sorted though, I feel so uneasy not knowing what'll happen with me next year

Maddie's done 5 dirty nappies today, she didn't do this many when she was newborn lol!
