How are all you new mummies doing?

*yawn* Isabelle woke up a third time when we went up to bed. After 2 hours trying everything to persuade her to go back to sleep, we gave up and just went to bed ourselves. Didn't hear a peep from her again until 6.30am so she must've self settled fairly soon after; little monkey!

Jojo what did you end up doing about Luke's head? Last 2 night Scarlett has done the same, I get woken up with her through the night and in the morning, head right up against top of cot. I would put her bumpers on but she mushes her face up too. She has a bright red mark now on her soft spot so hope she hasn't hurt herself x

Arghh m was 16 weeks yesterday n bam she's been awake from 3.45 :-( I'm shattered I'm praying this isn't regular now with this stupid 4 month thing :-( feel Like the waking dead xxx

Keep thinking it's just a one off nat. We had a 2 off last week but think it was just the heat. Now she's just waking up crying cos her heads stuck but goes back to sleep! I on the other hand don't, been awake since 4 this morning :-( x

Jen - Maddie does the same! We have the air mesh bumpers and they're brilliant she still smushes her face against them sometimes but she can breathe through them and they're nicely padded so no red marks but she does get the imprint from the mesh at times lol

Hope all these babies start sleeping longer soon! Hayley went to bed around 7:30pm but didn't settle herself until around 8:30 and then woke at 6:30. Brought her into bed with me and she slept on her side until 8am, then we got up for a bottle. So that's really good. I was daft enough to stay up late watching netflix so im tired today

I haven't done anything yet... Contemplating those bunkers that just go around the bars

Thanks dizzy, I have them but still feel like she's getting a knock. I seen them jojo but they are so expensive! I know you can't put a price on their safet but I couldn't believe they were £30!

That's a good wee night kaedin, you will be chuffed with that! x x

Ah ok! Maddie's started to move sideways now which is a new one and has taken to snuggling into her bunny that's in the cot!

She slept 8.30 til 8.50 but she turns 16 weeks this week so prYing the regression doesn't destroy it all :(

Not all Babies go through sleep regression. Thomas didn't really. He had a cold around that time which knocked him out abit but after he's got over it he went back to sleeping trough the night. With the cold he's been waking once. I think the biggest thing is letting them sleep in the day when they need it. I currently have a baby conked out on the floor fast asleep with his Freddie firefly!

Mine is asleep on me. She's making up for last night as this is her 3rd nap already since getting up at 6.30!

My tummy is rumbling away wanting food but I don't want to wake her when she clearly needs this extra sleep.

I'm luckily out of the sleep on me phase now. He's more than happy on the sofa (with support round him) or on his crib.

I know what you mean though. He was asleep in his pram yesterday and mil was about to touch him! I just said please leave him alone and don't wake him! She's obsessed that he needs to be constantly fussed over and when he's awake he has to have a toy! I don't think she gets that babies need down time too

I usually put her down now, but she sleeps longer on me still so sometimes I indulge her.

I wish he did sleep on me sometimes. Miss those snuggly cuddles

Luke has a hippo he sleeps with and when he wants to play he starts yammering to him and I know he's ready for toys

Do you leave the hippo with him overnight JoJo? Isabelle has a little comforter blankie but we take it off her once she's asleep as we worry about her smothering herself - she pulls it over her face and it's quite thick. Not sure when it becomes ok to leave them with such things?

I give it or him then take it away later. If he stirs I give it to him to settle him

Oscar had a comforter thing / I did a transition to an aldi cellular blanket because of the smothering thing

He loves having it over his face and goes straight to sleep - so as a cellular has holes in I feel less anxious :)

He loves it
