How are all you new mummies doing?

My mobile is up to 5 months too. Probably unsafe once they can get it near their mouths! Babies often start sitting up as early as 5 months.

My house is pretty sorted until I do something and then I have a dumping room that turns into a nightmare! Just had to resort the nursery as I've chucked stuff in there to get it out the way.

Now trying to sort the wash basket out that has been sitting downstairs for a week.

Luke creole up at 3:30 - somehow for the first time since he was 2 weeks old he's leaked out if a nappy and through everything FML. Trying to get him back to sleep and failing

Hayley had a bath and was in bed by 8pm last night, slept right through to 6:30 and gave her a full 8 oz bottle at 7:30am. She seems to be fine today, so don't think the jags have affected her (thank godness for that!!). Hopefully she's fine the rest of the day as I'm hoping to go to our walk in clinic to get her weighed.

Do they measure them at the drop in clinic? Hayleys only been measured twice and the last time she was only 6 weeks old and was on the 0.2 centile so I want to know if she's still a shorty.

Our HVs don't measure at all.

I was told they don't do length measurements any more but if you ask they might do it as I managed to get them to on one occasion.

Jojo- worst time for a nappy explosion. Thomas still has one at least once a month! Oh the joys

Kaedin, ask them to do it at the HV drop in sessions... They usually just weigh but have saw some babies also being measured if you ask xxx

Thank god it was just wee but it took ages to settle him.

Hubby got Luke up at 8 and have me a lie in until 11pm though lol didn't dress him but I'm not going to moan about that.

Got Hayley weighed and measured.

She's up to 12 lb 14 oz, which is just right below the 50th centile and her length is now 60 cm which is following the 25th centile - so alot longer than the 0.2 centile she used to be

Ladies I'm having a nervous breakdown here! S is going away overnight for the first time tonight. I am soo close to changing my mind! She's staying at my best friends who has 3 kids and I 100% trust her, I just can't help feel guilty. We were gonna have a date night out but can't really afford it so have decided on a markies meal and wine, so it just seems for the sake of it now that we aren't going out. My friends moving away permanently in 4 weeks so wanted to have S before she went and I also do think it's important she gets used to staying other places but still feel terrible! Also worries me that her sensor mat won't be there, can I somehow put it under travel cot mattress?

People kept saying she's long and I was confused as she had been 0.2 centile lol but glad she's had a good stretch x

I don't have a monitor yet so can advise if it can work with a travel cot mattress. I find sometimes Hayley cries when she's with other people as she's used to spending most of her time with just me but I really don't want her to end up clingy! So I've left her a few times already, I miss her like mad when she's gone, but just remind yourself she's fine and she's away having fun! x

We've just been away for a few days and put angel care under travel cot... Did need a piece of cardboard to sit it on top of.

I am such an idiot. Really need some sleep and a few hours to sort my house.

Today I've found a cot mobile that can only be used from birth to 5 months. That would give me 10 more days of use if I manage to get batteries for it! A bunch of baby blankets that I forgot about, and have since bought more! I then remembered I've got a bunch of dummy holder clips somewhere and can't find them anywhere. Obviously put them somewhere safe!

Lol! Get them in eBay! Is it the mamas & papas galaxy mobile?

No it's a fisher price rainforest one. I've got so much to sell! Just got get round to it. Lol

I think cause once they start moving they can pull all the bits off. Emma's lazy though, no sign of her trying to roll or reach up. so will just use it till I notice anything.

My LO is 11 weeks only and still will only have 5 oz per feed.... Think guidelines say it should be 6 oz per feed at 11 weeks but she seems content enough and is gaining weight x

Phoebe was on 5oz from about 4 weeks, she's just moved to 6oz in the last couple of days. She loves her milk!
