Don't worry I think I remember Princess being in the same boat in that she had some whilst on the drip. They still managed to stop her labour. Jayne, is this correct or am I being dumb?
I know it's best for her to stay put, would just be nice to know what's going to happen, will just have to wait and see. Off for a bath now then my brother is coming over for a bit to stop me getting bored lol. Least I've got my own room yay!
It would be a lot better for them to be able to give you a clue eh? They told me that they fully expected labour to re-establish after the drip was stopped but it didn't lol x
They've just told me it could go either way, although they would have expected them to stop completely by now, not sure what that means. Also been getting period pains quite bad, don't know what this means. Cervix wasn't dilated or anything last time they checked but as contractions arent as strong now not expecting anything to have happened there. Just wish I knew what was happening!
I think they only got up to in the high 70's. They told me not to pay any attention to that though as they were putting their hands on my belly to feel how I was contracting and said they were strong to the point they offered me g&a also, even in the most intense stages of labour some women only measure 40 on the monitor, I had no idea
They were coming every 2-3 minutes x
Mine were over 100 on the monitor every 3-4 mins apart before they put me on drip, gone down to every 45 mins and only 40-50 on monitor, still getting them at the mo. How long did your drip take to stop them? Sorry for being nosy but the docs are useless at answering questions lol
Mmmm. Think ive just lost some of my plug??? Tmi alert! Went to the loo but when I wiped there was a fair amount of greenish, stringy mucousy type stuff, does this sound right? Told MW anyways. Hmmm not sure what that means
They hooked me up to the drip at about 6pm on the first night, I'd say by 2pm the next day they'd pretty much stopped although the monitor was still reading that my uterus was "irritable" a bit like the rest of me by that time
That could be your plug what about your waters? Are they bulging do you know? And still no dilation?
It all depends on how your cervix has reacted to the contractions really. Mine won't close back over now, so am having to take it easy for the next few weeks
Ask away at questions I don't mind at all, and I also appreciate how frustrating it is when you don't know what the hell is going on x
Don't know about my cervix, they ain't checked again. Apparently I'm on this drip til 8pm, then another steroid at 8:30 but if contractions come back over night then they're not putting me back on the drip. Will just let me have her, wish I knew what was going to happen, not looking forward to more steroids, they're a pain in the bum lol
Yeah I know they give you a crampy butt cheek don't they? Made me giggle though.
Yeah once you've had all the steroids they won't try to stop it for you any more, they'll let the labour progress if it wants to, cos they'll be happy enough that her lungs are mature enough to contend with being born, it's a long old waiting game isn't it x
Just had 2 contractions in two minutes, the last one lasted a minute, hmmm, have a feeling they may kick in once drip is off later. Hate not knowing tho!
Lol me too! Just want to know, it's boring sat here! Least I've got the iPad, would go nuts without it, don't know who's Internet connection I've knicked tho lol
aw TO i feel so sorry for you, i bet it is so frustrating waiting, and like pricess says, you could be back home tomorrow and then nothing again for a while! to be honest if i got as far as you ladies did i would want my lo to arrive, as you say u become mentally prepared!
im sure it will all work out for the best though lovely xx
