Healthy eating challenge...

Last night I finished off my day with braised steak and burgundy pie, potato wedges, carrots, broccoli and green beans cooked by DH :)

Today so far:
Breakfast: Yoghurt, berries and granola, glass of orange juice
Mid morning: Water
Lunch: Pasta salad (homemade - penne, tomatoes, sweetcorn, celery, salami and salad dressing), apple, necterine, 2 clementines and bottle of water
Dinner: Not decided yet...might do sausage and mash????
 
I know, I thought it was VERY inconsiderate, especially with me being so heavily pregnant. She could have at least waited until November!!

She will even make us take-aways to take home too.

I had cereal for breaksfast, frappucino for lunch(naughty), will have a cup of soup and chicken for tea. Not very healthy but hey ho
 
Last night, I slipped off the wagon and had fish and chips for tea...ooops!! LOL

Today:
Breakfast: Wheatabix (ran out of yoghurt and granola!!), glass of orange juice
Snack: Apple and necterine, 1 x speculoos biscuit and cup of red bush tea
Lunch: Pasta salad (penne, celery, tomatoes, sweetcorn, garlic sausage, salad dressing), water
Snack: 2 x clementines
Dinner: spaghetti and meatballs, munch bunch yoghurt! Orange juice
 
u girls are so good! dw - fish and chips..jealous!!

so today i had:

breakkie - bran flakes
snack - alpen bar
lunch - pret classic tomato soup (was yummy!)
snack - boots popcorn salted
dinner - steak and mash and veg
pudding - (not sure when i decided i was allowed to add in pudding :oooo:) ben and jerrys chocolate brownie ice cream..small portion though :blush:

Of course, you're ALWAYS allowed pudding, no matter what!! I just haven't got a very sweet tooth most of the time.

Tomorrow my diet is going to be horrendous as we are planning on 'camping' in the lounge (we take our matress downstairs and the 3 of us sleep together), watching a film and pigging out on pizza, chips, sweets, popcorn and lots of fattening naughty stuff :)
 
OK, let's see if my memory serves me.

Breakfast: 1 bowl Shreddies, 1 glass orange juice

Lunch: 1 chicken Kiev with 4 spicy wedges (yes, I did count them) and peas, plus 3 oatcakes with jam

Dinner: Beef steak with plain boiled potatoes (didn't count them this time, but they weren't many), 1 glass orange juice


I think I've done OK today, but unfortunately it's only because of what I call my - pardon my French - muff diving last night. That would be diving into a load of muffins, of course.
 
You're all doing so well and so disciplined!

I started off well, and while havent ate as bad as I am capable of, I have found myself reaching for low fat sugary snacks when I am having a cuppa etc. Slap on the wrists for me!
I so want to be good, but sometimes its just hard...

Anyway, tomorrow is a new day and I have written down what I plan to eat and hopefully that will keep me on track (for some reason I am less likely to falter when I have a plan of action!)

So far today..

Breakfast: 'super berries' granola and yoghurt, glass of orange juice
Snack: Banana, apple
Lunch: Toasted bagel with Dairylee, necterine, water...I still have another bagel in my bag and 2 clementines to be eaten!! LOL
Dinner: Junk galore....pizza, chips, crisps, popcorn, sweets, chocolate....eeeek!!!! LOL. Will be soooooo good!!
 
ah DW i like the sound of your friday night camping - very cool and ur LO must love it :)

so..

brekkie - branflakes
snack - alpen bar
lunch - sausage in a roll in starbucks (not very healthy)
dinner - M&S meal of 'chicken breast and sweet fire-roasted tomatoes and basil butter wrapped in buttery puff pastry' we had it last week and it really does taste as good as it sounds!! with potato gratin and veggies :)
pud - erm...we still have the ben and jerrys in the freezer so i'm gonna have some of that - it would be rude not too :shake:

I've been avoiding this thread because I've eaten rubbish all week. I've not actually eaten very much and actually lost a couple of pounds. Gonna do a big shop this weekend and buy a load of healthy stuff and do a big cook and freeze stuff so meals in the week are easy.
 
Hope you guys dont mind me joining?? After reading through your posts you've given me some good ideas for meals :D I havent been too bad throughout my pregnancy, I normally try to eat 3-4 portions of fruit/veg and not snack on sweet stuff... not easy when I've got the worst sweet tooth ever. And I only have one take-away a week. Typically I'll have cereal (rice crispies or special k), cup of coffee (decaf), orange or apple juice with a slice of toast for breakfast, lunch is usually a pitta bread filled with cheese and ham and a rocky bar and dinner usually consists of sweetcorn, pasta, tuna, steak, homemade chips, new potatoes, jacket potatoes, chicken, fish etc etc - whatever it is I dont normally things you just put in the oven so it's usually all homemade with fresh ingredient so thats good :) then I try to have fruit in between and I always drink at least 1.5 litres of water everyday and have a few glasses of squash and one coffee (my only saving grace I dont like fizzy drinks!!)

Just weird because I work 12-4 on a monday and tues so that throws me off lunch sometimes and I usually have a bag of caramel snack-a-jacks and a chocolate bar, naughty :p sugar is def my weakness im afraid :(

Today I havent been too bad, I had rice crispies for breakfast with a glass of orange squash and a coffee, lunch I'm afraid was snack a jacks and a kitkat :( and just had a roast chicken dinner (had 2 small yorkshires, 2 small roast potatoes and a nice helping of veg) but cuz I missed a proper lunch I know I'll end up snacking on toast or something later grrr :( xx

I'd say you're diet is quite healthy just now, you dont need to change anything, maybe just try and continue the way you are. The chocolate biscuit & snack a jacks are hardly anything snack wise. Your doing great!

yeah not bad lauren!

so today i had:

beans on toast for brekkie, fish finger roll for lunch and tonight we are having steak and chips. no snacks so far and dinner in an hour or two so unlikely i'll have any now.

i like this thread, it makes me think about what i'm eating! xx
 
I guess its not too bad, just feel bad on the days where I go a bit crazy for the sugar and chocolate :p I like this thread too, lots of support :D xx
 
I had 2 rolls with turkey & mayo for b.fast/lunch, a wispa (oops) chicken & mushroom pie & potato waffles for dinner & 2 cake bars (oops again)

I'm gonna try and resist for the rest of the night and have a bowl of alpen if i'm hungry

I had 3 slices of toast for brekkie/lunch and then we went for a curry so not really that good, I had korma but not rice, just half a naan
 
Can't remember everything I had over the weekend but it wasn't great!! LOL

Yesterday:
Brekfast: Greek yogurt and super berry granola
Lunch: Chicken Pad Thai, 1 banana, 1 apple, 1 necterine, 1 clementine, water
Dinner: Burgers in buns, a few curly fries, whole bag of rocket (!!!??? I fancied some in my burger and ended up eating the whole bag to myself!!), jam doughnut (ooops)
Evening: glass of orange juice, cup of red bush tea

Today:
Breakfast: 2 crumpets (1 with cheese and 1 with marmite), glass of orange
Snack: 1 banana, 1 apple
Lunch: Red Thai Curry with rice, water
Snack: 1 necterine, water
Dinner: Bit of a rubbish dinner planned tonight: chicken cordon bleu, cheesy croquet potatoes, brocoli, carrots and green beans
 
Your lunch lady is back then. So jealous.
I had bad day yesterday - all day breakfast panini, hot chocolate. For dinner - salmon steak with courgettes and new potatoes and some cookie crumble Galaxy chocolate
