Good news about the poo He's getting so big now isn't he! Sounds like he's more advanced than Harry - he hasn't yet discovered his feet. The only part of his body he's discovered is his hand which he often tries to ram into his mouth lol! xxx

James loves to suck on his whole fist, but punching himself in the face is still his party trick.

I'm taking him to be weighed tomorrow, will be interested to see how he is doing. He was 10lb 13oz 10 days ago and that put his just on the cusp of 25th / 9th centile (he is a 25th centile baby)

Well James is now 11lb 6oz and now bang in middle of 9th centile so they want us back in 2 weeks for another weigh-in and a chat.

Bloody HV wrote in my notes "baby is reported to be taking 30 - 32oz per day".... I've been recording what he eats after every single feed since I started expressing on day 3 so I know exactly how much he eats..

Well done on James putting on more weight, I think if he was under fed they'd know all about it, babies scream blue murder when they'r not being fed lol.

Hv's and mw's are obsessed with following curves, they aren't very good in many cases at standing away from their textbook curve and just looking at the baby! Sound like you are both doing great Nat, hopefully they won't worry too much xx

I don't really understand the centile thing, HV says they don't like baby's to go up two or down two? Jackson has went up one since birth. He's a little grubber!

Hope little James is doing well - did you find the water helped James with his constipation? Did he take the water ok? Jackson hasn't given me a dirty nappy in like a day and a half so far, normally he's like 2 a day, atleast one. xxxxx

Blimey, just been told SIL (OH's brothers partner) is pregnant again. So James will have 2 new cousins this year.

I am thinking this wasn't planned as their youngest is just 8 months and she has been a very difficult baby Their boy is an angel though.

She is due 31st July [so she must have just had 12 week scan] and my sister is due end of September.

Our families are breeding like bloody rabbits.

I know we're breeding like crazy!!!

I'm just back from visiting a friend, she is having a tough time at the moment so on a whim I asked OH to have James and I went over to see her (she lives in South London)

I was gone about 4.5 hours and I was hyperventilating by the time I got home. I missed James so much it actually hurt.

James kind of looked me up and down when I got in (not even a smile??) but he was clinging onto me for dear life when I picked him up.

I never want to leave him again
