First Time Mums?

Just had the midwife call, booked my first appointment!

Eeeek All becoming real now!! Xx

Anyone else having really vivid dreams? I'm having them every time I sleep, but last night they were awful nightmares! Also my cramps are absolutely horrible. They're so bad I end up doubled over with waves of nausea. Especially at night. Not feeling too sick yet.

I had really vivid nightmares at the beginning I could still tell you all the details of it all, I had dreams of been attacked by 3 men while I was screaming I was pregnant but that didn't stop them :-( and I had dreams of been in nasty crashes and I've never really been one to remember my dreams before, so it really shook me up as it felt so real, I also suffered with bad cramps they was that bad they had me bent over in pain crying and paracetamol didn't help I was sure I was losing her I was so worried I called my epau and they got me in for scans and there she was a little blob with a flickering heart beat I've never felt such relief they told me though it's very normal as every thing is changing and most women suffer cramps around the time they would expect their period I don't think we ever stop worrying though xx

Good to know guys! Sarah 1986.... How far along are you now? I just got my appointment too. I think my first scan is probably miles away

Does anyone else feel like time is passing SOOOOOOO slowly...I just want to hurry up and get past the first 3 months so I don't have to keep this secret anymore and so the risk of MC goes down!

I am nearly 7 weeks (I think) I didn't have a period before so they are just guessing, and going roughly by clear blue test.

How far are you? X

Yes I do!! I constantly worry when I go the toilet I'm going to see something I don't want to.

My cramps have eased today thank goodness.

I think I'm in my 6th week... I'm finding the dates confusing actually. So I am 5+5 gone, meaning I'm in my 6th week according to my app? Anyway LMP 12th October. I think I ovulated really late though, and I also only got a very faint bfp on my AF due date, so I wouldn't be surprised if they downgrade me at my scan... But I hope not cuz the times going too slow!

Hey I'm 7 weeks today, you're 8 days behind me judging by your LMP. So that dates you at 5+6 today I think.

There are loads of online calculators you can use that go from your LMP x

Hello all :)

I think I am right on the cusp of July / August with the online calculators all giving me the end of July as a rough date but I have no idea what this week + that week means :P

I have not been able to book an appointment yet as they have asked me to call back around 8-9 weeks but I have been given a specimen pot and a leaflet ... the first 3 pages all about drinking while pregnant so not sure if that must be an issue around my area .. and the last page asking some brief questions such as chosen hospital etc

Even at this early stage I keep going from nervous to excited to really down! I feel awful for feeling that way at times as completely planned and taken 7 months to get our BFP ... possibly does not help that I work from home and my social circle is rather tiny!

So it is nice to 'meet' you all and hopefully being able to chat will help us feel all normal through our journeys!

* first timer by the way :) *

Amy

xx

Hey.. I think I’m technically a first timer. I got pregnant earlier in the year but had a miscarriage... hoping it’s going to go right this time

Big hugs and fingers crossed for you Fela .. I am so sorry for your loss xxx

Very sorry for your loss, Fela. I hope everything goes smoothly this time.

Amy_louise, I am also not completely sure about my due date. And I also work from home and have a small social circle. :) It's nice we can support each other here!

Me too Fela .. we are all in this together now

It is so lovely we are here together ~ I have felt a lot calmer since joining - although i have a very supportive and happy OH it can be nice to have a place to come and talk about our experience and share and learn and know we are not alone!

I have used a few online calculators and have gotten anywhere between 26th july to the 5th of august but my periods were anywhere between 21 and 26 days so that may not help things! I also do not know what it means when I see 5weeks +2 etc .. but I am sure the midwife will let me know more when I got for my first appointment maybe!

It is all so new!

xx

Hi guys. Well that first trimester tiredness has hit in full over the weekend. Despite not feeling very sick, I'm having little appetite and have felt like I've been hit by a bus....anyone feeling the same?

Last night I slept 10 hours but ended up so tired and in tears at a friend's party this afternoon because I just needed to back to sleep for 2 hours. Yesterday I fell asleep at the cinema watching justice league with a bunch of friends.

I'm worried about my work. I do 12.5 hour shifts in a busy hospital and I'm dreading going in tomorrow & tuesday.....how are you guys coping?

I am feeling tired too this weekend! No sickness here either.

Did the weekly shop today and had to go back twice as I forgot things, I was just in my own world waking round.
Managed to get up and clean the bathrooms this afternoon, now I'm about to sit down and snuggle on the sofa to Watch a film!

Oh and I bought myself a big pizza at lunch, scoffed the lot!!!

Happy Sunday!! Xx

Aww Jemrose I feel your pain... I ended up ringing in sick for today and tomorrow because (tmi warning) on top of general pregnancy exhaustion and lack of appetite, and having the beginnings of the cold that's going round I Also started with terrible stomachache and frequent bouts of diarrhoea every time I ate, drank, or moved yesterday.

Feel bleurgh and taking it easy today.

Wish I could ring in sick, but still in my probation and don't want to give any reason to get rid of me when I announce the pregnancy lol x
