~February & March Mummies and Babies~

For the first time since before I was pregnant I'm actually so looking forward to this weekend!! Got my two lovely friends coming for dinner on Saturday night and then me, my mum, Gran, sister and nephews are off to the Jack and Jill market on Sunday morning!! Yay an actual weekendwith ppeople! And out of the house Lol!

Poor jas!!!! How did she get on last night?

Sounds like a lovely weekend to look forward to Clairey! What's a jack and Jill market?

Well my little girl is 9mo old today! She's been out as long as she was in lol! Can't believe it really.

Calpol knocked her out just after 10. She stirred at 6.30 so cuddled her up with me and she's just woken up! She's definitely not herself. Usually just wants to go off crawling but just wants cuddles. Wish I didn't have to go to work!

Sorry I didn't realise it was just a Scottish thing! Basically all over the country there's these markets and they as solely for baby items and kids stuff up to 9years,

It's extremely well organized, massive and everything sold there is of exceptional quality. Pretty much a baby car boot sale but much much nicer!

It's always held indoors, the stalks are immaculate and it's only individual people that get to sell so no big businesses etc.

Whoever created the idea in my opinion was a genius x

sounds amazing, the NCT run similar ones down here, although I've not been to one yet as they only seem to be every 6-8months!

One of my friends got a brand new never used leap frog play and discover activity table for... £3!!!.I'm such a bargain hunter x

I always go a little crazy at the jack and jill sales!! They are great!

I've never been to one but the pictures look Fab! And I've heard only good stories! I only have £50 to spend but it's just to get a few wee bits and bobs for him to open on Christmas morning x

Claiery, your £50 will go very very far!!!! They usually have wee crafty stalls as well. Last time I got stuff for hols which I was happy to leave on holiday but we ended up bringing it back with us! Some stuff is still in boxes - their baby just hasn't like it! I also bought the same toy twice, oops!

I think We've cracked it!

My son is currently in a very deep daytime nap... Yes you've guessed it! In his cot! He slept 8pm until 6am solidly last night!

It's getting better and better x

Erm....I'm not quite sure! It was about a week of controlled crying which I absolutely hated and wouldn't have done it without Billy there. He stopped me from going in to him or else I would have been in there every two minutes.

Elevated mattress, sleeping on his tummy and lights out!

You'll get there love I promise. Actually I used to hate people saying that to me! Just ignore me!

Ahh, we will one day. I am ok with the wakings, I mean, I am tired of course, but he wakes because he needs something and that is OK. I have joined an attachment parenting group on facebook and feel so much better. I know our choices wouldn't suit all, but they are right for us. So pleased Spencer is doing better though!

I had Eli weighed today, 15lb 5. I think he is one of the smaller ones on this thread.

I am having Christmas portraits done soon, found a cute photography place.

Glad you've found a group of people to chat to with similar parenting styles / values to you, talulah. As well as us of course, though there's something nice about finding a group of people with such similar values to you. It means you can go to them for Been There, Done That advice and trust that they'll suggest something in line with what you feel comfortable with. If that even makes sense!

Glad Spencer has got the hang of this cot malarkey, Clairey! Sounds like he's really got it now :)

Jack, on the other hand has been awake between 3 & 5 am for two out of the last 3 nights :( He's got another tooth cutting but it's not that I don't think cos we've been giving calpol straight away and he's still not settling. I think he's heading towards one nap :/ I can't believe he's heading that way already but 2 hour cot parties at that time often mean too little awake time for him. Either that or it's crawling related - he's desperately trying to get on all fours and move. I hope it's not that cos I reckon he's still a few weeks away from mastering it!

The same. Slept 4.30-5.45. Just tried to give her dinner - not having it. Snuggled up again :-(
